This review is for Hair By Patrick which is located inside Body Spa Salons. This complex is beautiful with lots of stylists and other services. I've been looking for a new barber since I will be moving to Vegas soon. Saw his listing for a complimentary haircut, wash and blow dry for a few years through HouseSeats so decided to give him a try. Made an appointment for 1pm. Got there at 12:45 and checked in on the computer. 1:05 and nobody came out to get me so I checked in again. Still nobody. Then at 1:14pm, I called and no answer so left a message. At 1:20 I asked other business owners which office space is Patrick and they pointed it out. I knocked and went in and told him I'm his 1pm appointment. He said did you check in and I told him yes, 3 times and also called and left a message. Never apologized for came out to look for me. He sat me down around 1:25pm and asked what I wanted so told him to just trim about 1/2" off the sides and the top and leave the back alone except for the very bottom to trim up 1/2". He started with using an electric hair clipper with a specific length and started running it up the sides of my head and then on the back. At that instant it's too late to tell him to stop. So I just let him proceed and was hoping the best. Definitely not what I wanted. Then he sprayed my hair at the top of my head and coughed a couple times into his hand then immediately wiped it on my hair as if he was putting my hair down. That was disgusting. Then he used the sheers and cut the top part of my hair very quickly and in less than 5 minutes, the job was done and he was about to dismiss me but I told him there is a little area he needed to trim down so he did that. Never did he wash or dry my hair. Never did he even use a mirror to check if I am satisfied with the cut. This has to be the quickest haircut I've ever gotten in my entire 60+ years. Patrick shouldn't be allowed to operate in such a nice establishment. I don't usually judge people but this person gave me bad vibes from the beginning. Instead of trying to gain a new client, he just got himself a bad review. Beware of Patrick. He is a person who does not take pride in his work. Not friendly either. I still gave him a tip but I should have just walked out. read more

I got a haircut here from Patrick one afternoon. It was a little difficult to find, but once I found it I liked the business model of having service providers in their own suites and having the main area in the middle for a hair washing station and lobby area. I saw other hair stylists, but also nail techs and massage therapists. You can come here and get it all done in one go! I'm sure it keeps costs down and gives the service professionals options. Patrick seemed happy enough. So on google maps, this place is easy enough to find. There is nothing really in the area, so I couldn't get something to drink while I waited for my ride. More importantly, there is hardly any signage and I actually ended up in a different part of the building, I believe in another body spa salon? It was very confusing. I finally walked around the building, which was deserted and I found where I needed to go. I guess you just need to give yourself a few minutes to find the place if you don't know where you are going in the building complex. Haily at the Green Valley location is literally the ONLY persons I've ever trusted wholeheartedly with my hair. Her coloring is on point, she's a blast to visit and she goes above and beyond any other stylist I've ever met. I can fully trust her to make the best decision cut and color wise for my skin tone and face shape - ALWAYS. Second, her pricing is reasonable and her expertise is worth every cent and more. He commented on my genitalia. I called to speak with the manager who wouldn't take my call but said nothing could be done since everyone is an independent contractor. For myself and my brand I would never allow my name to be associated with such a person and not be able to "do anything"....body spa your name is attached to Derek Windam. He has had the police called to the salon before because he called a clients wife a bitch and harassed them. She is amazing, I feel the I need to express that I'm very hard to pls when it comes to my nails, and hair! I found Shelby over a year ago through a Groupon and have been going to her ever since! She is consistent with my fine highlights, cut and color, which is imperative, as I must look like my headshots!) If her Groupon is still available, be sure to reach out to her first, as she will likely honor the rate at the salon without purchase. Groupon takes close to 50% of every online sale.) She is much more of an alternative-style hairdresser, (she's not a business-cas/manicured nails/piles of makeup type chick) but she styles classically and definitely knows what she's talking about...especially when it comes to color and I trust her completely. In fact, when my roommate wanted to go from black to platinum blonde for the summer, Shelby actually talked her OUT of it, as the transition would've required multiple sessions and potential damage to her hair. Like many women, we can be wary of new stylists and the results. Will they listen, will they interpret what we want into what will look best? He explained his service to my license massage therapist wife. He told her maybe this isn't what she was looking for. I was new to Las Vegas and looking for a new hair stylist so I bought a Groupon for full highlights from Shelby Rae. The appointment started out a little rocky, the salon had recently moved but my Groupon had the old address on it, so I went to the wrong location. I called Shelby when I couldn't find the salon, but luckily the new salon was just a couple miles away. Shelby spent a few minuites discussing what I wanted and looking at photos I had brought in, and got to work right away. She was quick and my highlights came out perfect, they looked exactly like the photos. My only complaint was that Shelby excused herself a couple times to take a smoke break and came back reeking of cigarettes (yuck). Other than that, it was a great experience. I went for my appt and we did the perm, and my hair didn't take well to the solution. She has a policy that if you're not satisfied to let her know within 7 days and she will fix it, and I went back in and she re-did it with no complaint, completely helpful. And I am sooo happy!!! I went here for a haircut, and walked out with the worst haircut of my life. Everyday that passes, my hair looks worse and worse. I went to get a trim and add some texture to my shoulder length hair. Instead I walked out with layers so short, the hair is only about two inches long. It looked good while I was sitting in the chair, and I wasn't even giving a second mirror to check out the back. It wasn't until I got home that I realized how bad it actually looked. I can't even style it, how do you style shoulder length hair with some chunks that don't even reach halfway down your head because they're only 2" long. Overall the vibe here is just super weird. It looks like an office building, complete with those popcorn ceiling tile squares, and some random chandeliers hung about. Then someone came through and built half walls to make dividers for different contracted stylists. So, unless you know someone, you never know who you're going to get and what kind of training or experience they have. I bought a Groupon for someone with good reviews, and still that didn't work out in my favor. Run from this place and go somewhere where people actually have some form of formal training. My friend worked at an Aveda and always did the best haircuts ever. If you care about your hair and how it looks, DO NOT take your chance. read more

I found Jessica, She was really friendly and was excited to find me a new salon. But she had her assistant do most of the job. While she was blowdrying she was grabbing my hair with the brush and I see a chunk stuck in the wood part of the brush.
