Went here for the first time today while on a trip and they INTENTIONALLY marked up the the price at the END of my service! Took a photo of their menu and the service I selected was $47 only to be charged $67 at the register. Totally unacceptable and absolutely deceiving! SHAME!!! Not only is that poor business practice, but should be considered false advertising. Owner or manager said, "Gel is more expensive" but nowhere on the menu states this additional charge! Additionally, the technician failed to mention the additional charge during the ENTIRE service! (And side note... despite all the tomfoolery of the upcharge, she did a wonderful job on my pedicure. Extra star only for HER service.) HOWEVER, I do not appreciate people taking advantage of me and not being transparent on their pricing so I will be calling my bank, providing photos of their menu, my receipt AND the reviews I will be leaving over social media! Unless I am contacted for a refund, I will proceed with my charge back! Lastly, I will NEVER step foot in this establishment again and I suggest you exercise EXTREME caution before spending your money here. Also, they blocked me on their social media platforms. My daughter found this location while looking for someplace to get pedicures for my wife's birthday. Luxe has a massive selection of mail colors, with walls full of choices. They have different pedi and mani services to choose from. One cool addition is that most of the options include a free drink, including sodas and various alcohols. I appreciated that and settled into my chair of some foot work and a Mike's Hard Lemonade! The pedi chairs are very comfortable and include various massage options. The mani at looks like a bar, with high top stools replacing the typical work stations that dot most nail salons. They have multiple televisions with a variety of viewing options, including Ninja Warrior Switzerland (didn't know THAT was a thing), Wipeout, Mr. Bean, and reality shows. You don't have to listen to any of the TVs as they have music playing with a nice mix of pop/top 40 tunes. Loud enough to enjoy but soft enough to carry on a conversation. Perfect! As for the service, the nail technicians are very nice. The three technicians that we had (Jay, Chelsea, Jess) were amazing and very personable. I felt bad for Chelsea, who got stuck with my feet. She never saw it coming! Anyway, my wife tries lots of places looking for that one location that can put all the components together (service, artistry, and atmosphere). She hasn't done an mani here yet, but they ROCKED all three areas on our first pedi visit. The wife already has an appointment to come back next week. I came here on a whim I have been needing to find a good mail spot here in NV. I finally found one! Alan did my pedi and I loved this work. Not sure who did my hands but she was awesome. I got an acrylic fill on my hands she did it exactly how I wanted. Super square and skinny. As for my toes I had a toe nail crack and they were able to use a solvent for the one broken nail. It's clean, the staff are nice, very professional and were quick to service me even though they had a 4 ppl appointment scheduled 15 mins after I got there. Lynn did my nails and Nicole on my pedicure and both were very sweet, thorough and well experienced in their profession. Lynn and I chatted and laughed like girlfriends from years ago and she took her time while doing my nails. Lynn did the popular Van Cleef nails on my natural nails with hard gel overlay. I don't care what you watched on camera David, you cannot see the full pedicure on a camera angle nor can you feel what I felt- or see what I saw- so do not try to invalidate what I've stated. I SAID WHAT I SAID... she was pitty pattying with my damn feet and let's be real here since you're a licensed professional as well; since when do you pay $55 for a pedicure only to get a 15 second foot massage? Did you see that part? At the end of the day you're charging too much for a basic pedicure of this quality. Bottom line- It was a poorly done pedicure. Again, the cuticles were are not properly clipped, the nails were not filed properly, and she did a sloppy paint job. AGAIN, I'm a licensed cosmetologist hunny... not only in NV, but CA & NY as well. I'm 40 and have had my nails done multiple times by stellar techs & she is not one of them. I will not be wasting my money or gas to come back there and likely be disappointed again. The fact that I had to find a shop in Harlem NY the next day and literally- the young lady basically did a whole NEW pedicure with gel, and the fact all that cuticle came off spoke volumes. Truth be told I'm due for a pedicure now and my feet still look great from the tech in HARLEM for $30. Final verdict: I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Now if you want to keep talking about MY experience that doesn't coincide with your other reviews... because it was updated to reflect the truth the very next day due to the poor job done. So, apparently when you get a service here, and you're dissatisfied. Don't bother reaching out on social media. They're just going to block you. Even if they do post your nails on their Instagram! I got my nails done less than 12 hours ago, and all of my gel polish is peeling off. More and more by the minute. I did call too And it's not just one nail. It is six of them. You are not opened again until Tuesday. I have work. I can't come in and spend another two hours for you to fix the nails that should've been done properly in the first place. And while you didn't see my message that I sent you personally on Instagram. You sure enough saw the message. I left under the photo of my pictures. You blocked me right after. And just a heads up, the business is not the only one effected by inflation right now. Your customers are also effected by that as well. That's why going to a place and spending $100 on your nails only for them to completely fall apart less than 12 hours later, is absolute BS! You should run a better business. We're all affected by inflation. I don't see why you keep insisting that I "call you" knowing damn well that you were closed on Sundays after I left, continuing into Tuesday. I've been needing a pedicure for a while now and a couple of days ago I came in. They were busy, but a gentlemen started up the water so that I could start soaking up before they got to me. Everyone was friendly. But especially the lady working on the chair next to me, I think her name is Crystal. She noticed that I got a little impatient and started looking around after 20 min, so she asked if I needed anything to drink. Since this was my first time here, I didn't know how busy they were and I probably wouldn't have come back if she hadn't checked on me. THEY HAVE A COMPLIMENTARY ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE FREE WITH A $30 SERVICE! Nice. Once my technician Lorraine got started, everything was perfect. She did an amazing job on my feet and I'm definitely coming back for another pedicure. I'm getting my nails done right now with my technician, Lynn. She's super friendly and definitely knows her stuff. Everyone comes to her to ask for different things. She's also really efficient. They've been open for 5 years and they're always busy, so they do ask for patience even when you have appointments. So make sure you schedule your appointment with that in mind. I think this pace stays constantly busy, so it would be best to make an appointment. As a walk-in though, we were seated in 15 minutes. We both got a basic pedicure, I also got a gel manicure. Nothing too crazy, but they did a good job. The shop is clean and lively. I could tell it was popular right off the bat. My only complaint is that the woman who was doing my pedicure was also answering phone calls and scheduling appointments, which took her attention away from my feet very often, hence slowing down the appointment. I've never seen that so smoothly done compared to other places nearby- usually people wait around for a long time and then get their RBF on, but not at this place. I got the gel x instead of a regular acrylic set. I have two nails break within 10 days. Painfully break at that and now one of my nails is throbbing from pain Not sure how to comment back but as a response. The nail that was throbbing was not broken. I ended up having to cut it down, file it and take 2 Advil's for the pain. That is aside from my two other broken nails. My previous nail I had been going to for almost a year getting fills and new sets and never had a broken nail. I appreciate the response. I won't be back (: Also breaking is a stretch, the nails started lifting and I ripped them off as they were getting caught in my hair.
