    Spanish latte
    Brandon L.

Downey is starved for local coffee spots that aren't chains so I was super stoked when I found out this place had opened and was eager to give them a try. That was about a month ago and I've already been here several times so needless to say they won me over quickly! I've been ordering the Spanish latte which is delicious, but most recently decided to try the maple cinnamon latte and it is also very good. If I had to give some notes I will admit seeing more decor in the space would be very welcome, but given the short length of time they've been open it's not a big deal. Plus they've been friendly every visit so they deliver where it counts and I'll gladly continue coming back. Seating is also fairly plentiful if you want to enjoy your drink there.

Great customer service. The vibe inside is chill. WiFi, clean interior, solid drinks, great music selection playing in the background. I wish this place was closer to where I live. I would say the only knock I'd give them is that they don't advertise their prices on their menu. Their charges for what we ordered came out to be $6.50 foot a mocha latte and $7 foot a strawberry matcha. Average pricing in today's coffee shops. I'm not a big matcha fan, but the strawberry matcha was actually very tasty. It would be something I would actually order next time.

I ordered the Maple Cinnamon specialty latte. I definitely got a lot of cinnamon but don't feel I tasted the maple as much. Regardless the drink was just the mid-day pick me up I needed. Thy were incredibly fast. I ordered and as soon as I began walking away they were already calling my name to the counter. The menu is small but they offer plenty of choices. They have a few tables you can sip your coffee and have a couple benches in front of the cash register to wait for your drink. Food: N/a Service: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Overall I would stop by again if I found myself in the area!

"Finally, good coffee in Downey" - the person who recommended this place Yes, the coffee here is quality. The person taking our order and everyone working here was chill and friendly. The spade inside is spacious with a good amount of seating as well. Would come here again for sure.

I'm glad I made the drive here to try this new coffee shop! The owners were cool & chill, and you instantly feel welcomed upon walking in. I got their Spanish latte, and they asked what I thought of it. It was a bit on the milkier side but they adjusted the taste by giving me another shot of espresso. You can tell they really care about the quality and taste of their drinks and truly take into account what the people want. Overall, the space was nice and open, and their music taste was on point. I hope to be back soon!

The cutest coffee shop in the middle of a strip mall. The cinnamon maple latte was heaven, not too sweet with the perfect coffee to milk ratio. My sister had a matcha latte and noted it was well made. Both the pastries we ate paired well with our drinks. The staff were so kind. Overall great experience and chill vibes.

Bum's Coffee is a new specialty coffee shop in Downey. With classic and specialty drinks, they have something for most people. Plenty of seating and good lighting. Music is usually playing at a good volume (comfortable for work). Baristas are friendly and highly skilled at coffee. Note: I prefer my lattes in a 12oz cup rather than 16oz but other than that, it's a great cup of coffee!

New Coffee @BumsCoffee spot in Downey, Off Firestone blvd. In the same strip mall as Wyman's Liquor. Across from the street from Dirt dog and El polo loco. Today was their first day so no pastries yet. But a decent menu got pretty busy just before I left. Americano was good and the Houjicha Latte was solid. Definitely recommend. Place was clean, could use some art on the walls. Will be coming back to see how evolve, and see what new drinks they will offer.

So excited to see a new coffee shop in Downey. We tried the Spanish latte and maple cinnamon latte, which were both delicious. They unfortunately did not have pastries, but hoping they do next time! The baristas and entire staff were very welcoming and friendly. The shop had about 5-6 small tables for people to hangout at. The space itself was very open, airy, and full of beautiful floral arrangements. Overall, great shop and looking forward to returning.

Today we finally went to Bums Coffee and really enjoyed our drinks. We ordered a Spanish Latte and a Maple Cinnamon Latte and both were delicious. The baristas were super friendly and even offered a treat for our dog. The shop had some baked goods and plenty of seating. We can't wait to try more of their drinks. PS they also have a free rewards program.

The foam with the custom latte art cost an extra $2 but I think it was worth it, at least for my first time. To be honest, Honey Greens seemed like a gimmicky place since I thought the foam art was all that it was known for, but no, their drink quality was actually good! I got the agave matcha latte for myself, and I enjoyed how rich it tasted and how vibrant it was in color. I also added a cold foam which made it too sweet for me. Next time, I plan on ordering an unsweetened matcha latte and add cold foam as the sweetener. I also tried a sip of the lavender matcha and that was the one thing I didn't like because the lavender overpowered the matcha. It was pretty busy for a Friday afternoon with all the tables filled and a short line formed after I walked in. The workers were all so kind, and it was overall a very inviting place with fun decorations and a myriad of art options for the cold foam.

I ordered the Coconut Iced Latte with Sweet Cream Cloud Foam through the app -- paid about $8.50. It was too much on the sweet side but honestly, the sweetness was on me since I added the cloud foam, but the drink itself was about a 6/10. My order was ready when I arrived, and the girl who greeted me was genuinely sweet and welcoming. On my way out, their pastry display caught my eye and I went back to grab a Matcha Pistachio Croissant ($7.50). A different person took my order and she seemed a little bothered when I came back to order, which was a bit off-putting. The croissant itself was disappointing -- it didn't taste fresh, and this was only about 30 minutes after opening. For $7.50, I expected a lot more, especially compared to other spots serving matcha pistachio croissants that are both tastier and more affordable. The shop was nice and clean and it has plenty of seating. That said, their matcha is still easily in my top 3 -- that part never disappoints. I'll keep coming back for that, but I'll be skipping the coffee and pastries going forward.

Anywaaaay - I tried the trio tostadas, a tamal and a Mayan iced latte. The tostadas were great. They were very fresh. They're very simple. One is black bean, one is avacado and one is chicken salad. My favorite was the chicken salad. I used their green salsa and it was delicious. The tamales was good. Today I learned I don't really like the flavor of banana leaf that gets absorbed into the tamal. Also, it was primarily made of rice. It had a piece of bell pepper, a little chicken and I think a plum. Aside from the banana leaf I liked the tamale. The latte was delicious. Nice coffee flavor and sweetened perfectly. Definite recommend and I will for sure be back.

The tamal Chapin was a bit bland overall and had very little chicken inside. The chuchito had a nice salsa with good flavor, but the masa itself felt a little dry with each bite, even though it was bathed in sauce. The coffee alone makes this place worth a visit.

That's when we noticed the coffee bar. Service was friendly and they do have a good selection to choose from. I stopped on a Friday morning for fuel (coffee) before running errands, and went with the strawberry horchata cold foam. I was pleasantly surprised. It was perfect and not overly sweet. I also got a pistachio crescent, warm, and was delicious. I stopped by the following morning, and went with the pumpkin spice chai latte, which was perfect!
