I had a rim with curb rash that I was looking to repair. Found bumper buddies and read all their reviews and figured this was a good company to go with. Scheduled an appointment for 10am a couple days out. When that day came, the technician called first thing that morning having to reschedule for 4pm. 4pm came and went and no phone call. We texted and called asking for an update and nothing. Finally the tech called and said he was 20min out, but didn't show up for another hour. When he finally got here it was 6:30pm and it gets dark in an hour. He did the work and when we went to pay him he tried to bully us into paying venmo instead of an invoice with a link to pay. After it was paid and they had left my husband and I looked at it with a flashlight and noticed how TERRIBLE of a job they did. And the icing on the cake - THEY USED THE WRONG COLOR PAINT! They used a metallic black paint with sparkles and my rims are clearly gloss black. Upon a closer look in the daylight we noticed the over spray all over my rim and tire, roughness all over the rim, dents and even areas with no paint at all. We contacted the company and spoke with the owner who assured us that he agreed it was a bad job and they would take care of it. The tech rescheduled for a day later but again at 5pm. He showed up an hour and a half late AGAIN and was working in the dark AGAIN. He re did the rim and left all sorts of imperfections along with his trash in my yard. I now have a foot long scratch across my rim, dents in it, scuffs all down the spokes (when the damage was on the lip next to the tire), bare spots down to the metal with no paint and you can still see the sparkles from the first time. We contacted the company via text, phone call, left a voicemail on the owners phone, email with photos and NOTHING. All we want at this point is a refund. We are not asking for the rim to be replaced even though now I have to do so out my own pocket since this company destroyed it. I will never utilize this company again nor would I recommend it after the experience we have had. Told me to send pictures of the damage and they provided an estimate of $695 -$795. Took my car to two AutoBody shops and the lowest was $1,395.00 bumper buddies came in at $600.00 Less which was within my budget. Made an appointment for two days later and the technician was an hour and 1/2 early but offered to come later. Since my vehicle was at work I told him No Problem. Manny my techician was very nice and Friendly. Took around 2 hours -2 1/2 Hours to do the work. It looks very good to me. There was one imperfection that really wasn't their fault, a panel came out and like a dumbbell I jammed it back in but a tab was sticking out so the panel was ever so slightly gapped. This warped the side panel It's not really noticeable. I don't blame bumper buddies for this. If you look at my bumper it's almost perfect. Final summation: I'm happy with the job that Bumper Buddies did and my Bumper Looks as good as new and side look as good as it can be without a complete replacement. They actually were able to do the job a few days earlier than scheduled which was great. I had garage door scratches on the deck lid and scratches all over the bumper. Ralph came out to do the job on time and did a fantastic job! Even placing the Porsche letters on after the paint which is super difficult as you only get one shot at it. They came to my house to buff out some paint that came off a Pillar that was at the Petsmart in Menifee. Most of the white came off but there are still some remnants of it. When I asked the Technician, all he would say is: "a scratch". He charged me $250 which I guess is ok since he removed around 85% of the white paint that came off on my car. They took his information and said they would text him so he could provide photos, but he never heard back. A week later I reached out to Bumper Buddies on his behalf, and was told the same thing. 2 days later I followed up because I never heard back, and then they did text me so I could send photos. I then received a call with a date and time for Bumper Buddies to fix the bumper, which was a week in advance. The day of the appointment I received a call from Bumper Buddies to let me know that they had to cancel our appointment because they were not able to repair our bumper and that it needed to be repaired at a shop. He also said that would save us a $50 house call which we had never been informed of. He was very polite, which I did appreciate. I turned too sharply and hit a pole at a car wash. My BMW had a deep dent and scratches on the rear passenger door and the quarter panel. I got quoted at at least 10 places in SD area and Bumper King was a couple hundred dollars cheaper and could fix it within a few days. I was a little hesitant at first because I was scammed by another mobile repair place that completely butchered my car. But bumper king fixed it right up - Mr. Brown replaced the door and fixed the quarter panel and matched the color to the front door. It's nearly perfect looking now, and Mr. Brown offered a lifelong warranty for his work. Overall, super chill guy and good quality work! UPDATE: After Mr. Brown did a detailing on my car, I noticed that the dogleg area is a pale yellow color. It's noticeable if you look directly at it since it's a different shade as the rest of the car. There's also a few small chips on the area once you open the door. I didn't say anything at the time because I didn't mind too much. However, now two years later the yellowing has been getting darker and darker that it's becoming a bother. I've been meaning to reach out to Mr. Brown since he guarantees lifelong warranty on his work, but the whole quarantine thing happened. The contract was to repair the rear Spoiler for clear coat damage and the rear bumper for minor scratches. It took a couple of calls for the owner, Mr Deleon Brown, to schedule an appointment for which his tech showed up. As others before have noted, Mr Brown relies on pictures to provide an invoice. He doesn't show up, inspect or do the work himself. The tech scratched the back of the trunk where the edge of the spoiler meets the trunk. He did a poor job on the bumper resulting in multiple "paint pits" and overpainting the sides of the bumper. Never showed up to buff and fix a poor job as promised. I had to keep calling Mr Brown, send him pictures and explain the situation multiple times. Instead of taking real ownership, he'd express his inability to locate his tech or find another tech that would redo the job. Or that he was in Houston, TX. After several days of me calling, Mr. Brown sent me to a shop, Bumper Finish, 45 minutes away. He said the shop would fix my issues for free (red flag). The shop owner, Don, and I tried to call Mr Brown from the shop multiple times and he never answered. He never responded to texts and pictures of the job his tech did. Bumper Finish charged me $150.00 to fix the shoddy job on the spoiler. Bumper Finish said the paint job on the bumper with multiple paint pits will need to be repainted and quoted me $300.00. I didn't get the bumper paint job fixed. At this point, I had spend 2+ weeks calling and pleading with Mr. Brown to fix the terrible job he did. Mr. Brown gladly deposited my check for $430 but did not take ownership in completing the job. I had to spend an additional $150 to fix the incompetent mess on the spoiler and was left with a car that looked bad after spending $580! His service was poorest of poor, unprofessional and incompetent. read more

Less than a month after purchasing my brand new car (otherwise known as C.G.B. Spender--yes, I'm an X-Files freak) I got hit in the parking lot at home. I couldn't believe the stress and irritation that the incident caused me. My insurance, USAA sent me to Caliber Collision, who flat out lied to me, insisting that my car needed more work than it actually did. I don't enjoy being lied to... so I checked Yelp! Yelpers hadn't let me down in the past.. and they certainly didn't let me down this time! I couldn't believe how incredibly FRIENDLY Mr. Brown was the first time I talked to him. I was stressed out right after wasting an hour at Caliber Collision, hearing an insane price quote that I'd never be able to pay out of pocket. He assured me that he could help me.. and he did. Being a busy young professional, I much prefer text conversations. D was super understanding and kept great communication via text during the time between first contacting him and actually getting my car repaired. He was super understanding of a re-scheduling issue on my part and was very eager to help me out. Anyways, he actually came to my work parking lot to fix my car. That was AWESOME! I was dreading the possibility of needing to leave poor C.G.B. at a shop for a few days. It was so nice being able to just get everything taken care of during my lunch break at work. The only reason I'm giving this company a 2 star is because the man who came out to my house was very honest and polite. I actually contacted Bumper Buddies through the Yelp app. I sent pics of my bumper and also spoke with someone in depth about what I wanted to have done to my back bumper. When I spoke with someone and told them my expectations I was told it would be no problem. They gave me a great quote and I rolled with it. I had a dent on my back bumper along side some scratches- nothing major. Anyhow...first, the guy shows up before the scheduled window. No warning call or text. Secondly, I explained that I wanted the whole bumped worked on and all of a sudden my quote went from $500 to $700+ NOT OK! Anyhow, 3 weeks later I still have a dent and it looks horrible. It looks like someone literally just painted over my dent. I'm so furious and now on the hunt for a body shop who can fix my bumper the right way! read more

Disappointing experience. We called around to many repair shops before deciding to bring our car to Dee at the Bumper King. Over the phone he was very helpful and he explained how he does the work out of his home so the price would be a lot less than other repair shops around. He also promised a lifetime guarantee on the work done, so we felt good about hiring him and leaving our car at his home shop to have our front bumper repaired. Initially Dee said it would take no longer than 3 days to complete the work and the car would be ready to pickup on a Friday afternoon. When Dee finally called us to come pickup that Friday, we showed up and the car was done but only 90% done. There was one small piece of the bumper missing that Dee explained would need to be polished and painted separately from my bumper, therefore I would need to come back in a couple days to pickup the final piece and have it installed. I was pretty frustrated the car wasn't all the way done and I would be required to come back AGAIN, but he did the work for a lot less money than other shops so I let it slide and told him we would be back in a few days to get the final part. Long story short, within 30 minutes of driving away from Dee's house my fog light (which was incorrectly mounted by Dee) fell and burnt a hole through the bottom plastic part of my bumper. Then within a few more minutes my headlights went out entirely. This was clearly Dees mistake and we immediately called Him to explain what had happened and he apologized, took blame, and told us to bring back the car right away so he could get it fixed for us AGAIN. To sum it all up, another couple of days went by and not only did Dee NOT fix the headlight issue but I ended up leaving with a car that's in worse shape than when I had originally dropped it off to him. it's so frustrating! Even though my bumper is fixed now, I have all sorts of electrical issues and lighting issues that will cost me lots more $$$ to fix all because of Dee's work that was rushed and cheap and just unsatisfactory. Overall I can that he's a good guy and if all you are looking for is a quick fix and cheap repair job, then I would go to Dee. Otherwise save yourself the time, money and headache and go to a repair shop that will actually take care of you and help you when things go wrong that aren't your fault to begin with. I've never felt so disappointed or ripped off before but I will be very careful before ever choosing to work with someone like a Bumper King again. read more
