I was surprised and dismayed to be charged $552 for a bathtub overflow gasket. They are on Amazon for around $10 . While I understand diagnosing the source of a leak can be challenging, I wish the plumber would have thought to inspect the gasket before cutting a hole in my ceiling to find the leak. Our water heater went kaput and needed to be replaced. We contacted Bumblebee Home Services and they sent Dylan to look it over. We decided to use Bumblebee to replace the water heater. Dylan came back and spent 4 hours replacing everything from the walls and ceiling to the water heater itself. He did superb work. It is the highest quality. I was a member of Bumble Bee plumbing and paid monthly dues for over two years. I had two large plumbing jobs completed 1.) replaced water heater and 2.) installed a new hot water line, from the water heater to the kitchen. Both big expensive jobs! So when I had a small service call to replace the cartridge in my shower faucet, I expected a small price. I was overwhelmed when the technician said $500.!!! I said no and he said he could take $100. off. Only because I had relatives staying overnight did I agree. He replaced the $15.-$20. cartridge in about 20 minutes and charged me $403.!!! Long story short, I was on a service plan. Called to have a leaking hose bib replaced. The quote was $923.00 discounted from more than $1000.00 because I WAS a member. I declined - not so politely. Then the serviceman called the supervisor to get a better price, which was $650.00. I again declined. Called my handyman, who came the next morning, and with parts and labor (which maybe took 15-20 minutes) total price $150.00. It was fixed perfectly and professionally, and for about 1/10th the cost of Bumblebee plumbing. If you want to pay $900+ dollars to replace a $20 hose bib, this is your company. I did terminate my monthly membership. So disappointed. Gouging an elderly widow is not ok. Do Better Bumblebee. read more

I have to say I am incredibly disappointed with Bumblebee Plumbing. I provided the equipment to replace a garbage disposal. And they literally charged me $475 for one hour of work I checked with my other plumber and he told me he would have charged me $339 and would have included the equipment with the warranty. So not only did I spend much more, but I actually had to provide them with the equipment. Unfortunately, my other Plumber was sick and couldn't make it out on time. I don't mind paying more but to get gouged like this is incredibly disappointing. I have used Bumblebee before and I don't remember them ever doing something like this. I had Bumble Bee out to repair a leaking toilet. Abraham was the plumber that came out and he quickly identified the issue, the seal needed to be replaced. He pulled the toilet and discovered that the entire toilet was installed incorrectly by another company (we only had 1/2 of the drain pipe open). He fixed in under an hour! He also checked my water pressure and various things while he was here. Shocking thing was the price was REALLY REASONABLE for everything he did! Technician Scott was nice. Service was requested for morning, he didn't arrive until 3:30pm, would have been nice if the company proactively reached out, communication is important! The cost was very expensive!! The tech did not confirm the hands free feature of the faucet worked, which it does not. 11/13: spoke with Valentine yesterday, went over my concerns, he scheduled Scott to return today. Scott arrived as scheduled and got the hands free feature working and I do appreciate that. 11/23 edited to add: had 2 different plumbers look at additional work we were told was needed at the visit on 11/9 and both said the additional work is not needed!! Got the work done that I asked for and more.Employee was nice. Took a lot longer than expected. Later found out I paid almost three times what I should have. Also the handle on the toilet is loose and it rattles and it is in a he wrong position it come over the lid. I am having to save some money so it can get it fixed. Never had this problem before. One star only because at least one is required but that star goes to the office staff and no one leading this company or treating their customers like this. This company "seems" nice (office staff is fantastic and issues get escalated to a lead who reaches out promptly) but we learned the hard way never to hire plumbers that work on commission! We over paid GREATLY not getting 2 other quotes in an effort to get drains cleared for our renters at our rental property. They charged over 800 for one tub and one sink in the same bathroom and told us we had a leak in the pipe from the house to the sewer and made sure to tell us it was really bad, that if they had to guess they would say only 1/4 of water was draining through to the sewer. They couldn't explain why they had been there 6-8 months prior unclogging the same bathroom drain when our renters work out of town and aren't using the shower daily and were happy to charge us again for incompetent work and repeat themselves over and over with how we probably need to have the drains snaked and hydro jetted because if we only have them hydro jet the pipes, they wouldn't get what a snake could get and visa versa. We got a second and third opinion today with other companies and were not only told there was no leak, but were shown the camera looking through the pipe from house to sewer in real time telling us this company is deceitful, greedy and can sleep at night giving people disastrous news with an estimate of $10,000 for something that was NOT even true! Makes you wonder if they did an incompetent snaking job 8 months ago to ensure they were called back to work again. We will be sure to tell everyone we know NOT to use this company. We discovered a leak in our outside faucet and called a local handyman and requested a call back. Didn't hear back so we called bumble bee. They were great. Promised to find a plumber and would fit us in ASAP. Within a few hours we got a call that Bill would be by shortly. End of story faucet was repaired, new fixtures for our hoses and no leaks. The service requested was for a leak on outside patio hose connection, and low water pressure in my main bath. The initial cost was over $1200 to get it fixed. This was way above the other 2 appraisals. The man who came, said if I would get it fixed now, he would drop it to $666, He also offered it at $1000 plus. Second time we've used Bumble Bee Plumbing. First time was to replace a shower valve,,,,,Excellent job, timely, within budget and they solved a hot water problem in the kithen as a bonus. This call we need a washer bar replaced as the old one had frozen up. Our Tech Jose Gomez was on time, repaired/replaced the device in less than an hour and the place was spotless when he finished. Victor and Jesus were absolutely amazing. I have a manufactured home and wanted to switch out the bath tub drain to a black one. I used a drain wrench and it loosened just fine but it just kept turning around and around. They tried to fix it from above the crawl space but it did not work. It just happened to be 109 degrees outside that day and Victor crawled under the house ( no small task because the crawl space is a belly crawl space). They installed new drain piping and I am good to go now. They are the best guys and I wouldn't have anyone else do my plumbing. They answered all my questions and were patient with me. We called our insurance company first and they came out same day and told us our water heater was not covered due to a leak. I searched the best plumbers in my area and came across Bumblebee Plumbing, and I am certainly glad I did! They were so quick at getting back to me and they had a technician out and replacing the hot water heater before lunch! I need to update my review. Initially, things seemed great. But over and over, I have needed them to correct things: mostly having to do with leaks, which can be devastating if not caught and very costly in damages. The customer service is phenomenal (which is why I'm giving them two stars), but it's very frustrating to have them constantly come back to fix their work. Their technicians just aren't up to par. I have used Bumble Bee plumbing many times in the past. This time, I had a late night emergency (no flooding, just a lot of wasted water and broken shut-off valves). I was stupid and tried calling one of those all-hours plumbers. I should have gone with my first gut feeling and just called Bumble Bee in the morning. The first plumber stood me up AND didn't have the decency to call me, or clear out their voicemail so I could leave a message, but by then (3:00 pm the next day!) I had listened to my inner voice and had called Bumble Bee as a back-up. I'd like to thank the intake and scheduling ladies, they understood my panic and got me help even though they were fully booked! Bill Messenger was just finishing his last job for the day, but came to my rescue anyway. He got here quickly. He was friendly, professional, polite. He is also a miracle worker, because he had to work with water trickling through the pipes, because not only did the shut-off valve to the toilet not work properly, the shut-off valve to the house didn't work at all, AND the shut-off valve at the water meter wouldn't close completely! (Guess what my next projects are, and whom I will call.) Bill kept me informed at every step, and was very respectful of my property. I work graveyard shift, I expect bad sleep when I have any service call. I specifically asked for 1st appointment or after 2pm. My appointment was made three days early and this wasn't an emergency. Staff said they start making calls at 7:30 the day of. At 7:45 I call and she said I should be getting a call shortly, two hours later I have to call and am told when they are coming. Garbage disposal replacement. I explain I don't want the cheapest and not the most expensive but somewhere in the middle. The price with the "service club" is cheaper so I say sure and the price is $850. As it is explained, a pipe is installed wrong and this also needs to replaced. A search on Home Depot for these items is 109.00 (disposal) and $5 (for the 1.5 inch P-trap pipe). $850. Initially I tell them to start and then change my mind and agree to pay just the service call fee. A 'mandatory' call to the office by the tech after that and they bring it down to $494. The fact that you can just drop the price $350 tells me that you are overcharging customers who aren't plumbing savvy. No, will not be using this company again. read more
