Both of the first two firms required that we agree to "full solution" at a cost of $2,500 and $2,600 plus an annual fee (rather than just get rid of the squirrel). The third bidder was North Fulton who were willing to do only what we needed--just get rid of the squirrel. After their thorough inspection, to our surprise the inspector reported that there was no squirrel at all. (The noise came from other sources, which he identified for us.) This means that the first bidder showed us pictures of some other persons attic, not our own attic. The second bidder obviously found no squirrel intrusion either, but didn't bother to tell us. Their bid was $2,600 with an annual follow-up fee of $225. CONCLUSION. If you want to deal with an honest firm, pick North Fulton Pest Solutions.

I finally broke down and called UPC and decided to spend the extra money for them to come out. Well, if there are any problems between service calls, they come out for free. I've been getting quotes for animal exclusions due to squirrel activity in my attic, and since I was also planning to get my gutters changed out, he basically told me to just have the gutter folks block the builder's gap, which would effectively take care of the animal issue. This advice basically saves me ~$1400 extra in money that I would've paid an animal/exclusion company. He even went as far as telling me the exact material I should have my gutter contractor use to block the builder's gap, and told me how much parts and labor should cost for the size of my roofline. He went above and beyond in only charging us for when it required him to do work, and in every other situation he would educate me about the pest and describe the exact steps for me to take in order to eradicate it. The best thing is watching him critique the estimates and evaluations of other firms. We once heard scratching noises in our home, and another company came in to describe how we were infested with this specific type of sewer rats. The company pointed to droppings in the attic, entry points in the ground around our house, and gave the unequivocal diagnosis that required several thousands to resolve. Brian came in and showed that the droppings were few and many years old, and that the supposed entry points were caused by chipmunks. He additionally informed us that the type of wildlife the other company had identified did not actually exist in our part of the country. All this to say, if you have a pest problem in your area and Brian is available but you choose not to use him, you probably just wasted a lot of money that you could've resolved with a quick trip to Home Depot and ten minutes of application in or around your home.
