Critical: Responsiveness Met my expectations by capturing 7 chipmunks and a squirrel even relocated to their property. Here are my concerns: Was not happy with communication with Techs was unaware of my end date and was surprised when all traps were taken. Suggest either text message or phone mail msg confirming last day of services. Was not happy with sarcastic communication with Ms. Vernon regarding my texting techs at end of day informing them of the animals trapped and being accused of romping around the traps when I clearly saw the cage was closed and an animal was inside. Also be aware how to open and close traps as we had a bird caught and upon release were informed we broke the trap. I feel $350 was a lot of money for this process especially when you can purchase the traps from Ace Hardware for $19.99 put honey, peanut butter and some corn and relocate the critters to the woods yourself. This was a learning experience for me. In my 30 years as a business professional I've learned the customer is always right and should be treated with respect not condemned for honest feedback. read more

I had a raccoon that had been coming in my house through the cat door for months. I knew I wanted it trapped but was concerned that my cat ( inside/outside) would be the one trapped instead. Rick and Verron worked with me to use a bait that would not attract my cat or my neighbors cat. Southern Wildlife trapped and relocated two raccoons and I am enjoying peace in my house again. Saved the day again. This is one of the most well run family owned, knowledgeable companies ive come across. They removed a GIANT hornet nest for me a few years back and I was so happy to know who to call when I heard the scamper of unsettlingly large critter sounds coming from my crawlspace. Turns out we have the rat king and his minions running around trying to make a new ratdom... i called and they were able to fit me into the schedule quickly. Bruce came out and I showed him where I had seen and heard the sounds, he explained to me what i had, what they were attracted to and the plan to get them gone. My pinestraw guys found and killed a four foot copperhead snake in my backyard (a mere 10-15 ft away from my back door) around 2pm. I called southern wildlife management around 4:30pm to come take a peak and make sure there weren't anymore snakes out there and if they could locate their home. Bruce was at my house by 5pm AFTER he had already gone home for the day. The woman I spoke to on the phone was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. She could tell I was freaked out and did her very best to get someone out to my house ASAP. Bruce was here so fast and poked around my front and backyard for 30 minutes. He is also very knowledgeable and was so helpful. I highly recommend this company!!! read more

Paid $450 up front for removal of mole(s) from my small front yard. They assured me they would remove the mole infestation quickly and easily. They did not. They first came out in early November and visited my front yard a total of 4 or 5 times. The first few visits were setting and resetting 4 totally infective traps, nothing caught by any trap. Then there was a visit to 'smoke out' the mole tunnels, totally infective just like the trapping. Finally bait was set in 4 locations with the promise of a final visit after Thanksgiving. No one has visited or contacted me since. Looks like the mole proved too much for Southern Wildlife. read more

I just had work done on my property to have a FEW bat removed. Work quality is okay, but it's GROSSLY OVERPRICED. I called first and was told the trapping and entry way sealing is $400 to $1500, depending on the number of bats and 3 or 4 bats should cost that much. Guano cleanup is $150 and upwards to who know how much. But if I choose not to go with them they will charge $125 inspection fee. I have only 4 bats in between the one gable vent and the mesh behind. There is no trapping involved. So I thought how expensive could it be? Bruce came and did the inspection and quoted $2000 for removal of one bat (3 other bat family members were out hunting at the time, he only needed to chase this one out, there is no trapping involved), put up mesh barrier outside the three gable vents and cleanup the guano. I usually checked around but somehow didn't this time. It took him two hour to do the job. I don't have to ask around for quote to know that is this is at least double what others would charge. I recently had portion of my gutter replaced that took a lot more materials and same amount of work (2 man hours) and cost me only $450. Don't be taken like me by this company. read more

This company is fantastic! We thought we had heard animals in the attic, but our housekeeper confronted "a big, big, big mouse" upstairs in one of the bedrooms. We called Southern Wildlife immediately and Bruce and Chad showed up within an hour! Both men were very professional and courteous. We did the original one week program, but decided we never wanted rats again, so got the exclusion service, whereby they sealed every entrance into the attic. In the process, we got rid of 13 rats! Verron is honest, conscientious and accommodating...and we would highly recommend Southern Wildlife to anyone with an issue. Several years ago they removed a huge hornet nest from our house. We were Initially quoted $500 - $700 for bat removal from our attic. And it up being $2800 after they kept adding on all the special stipulations. the bats are now gone and they were good throughout the process. However they also assured me they check the attic for any other holes that creatures could get into. And put a warrantee on their work. We are now having some other pests in the attic and they're saying it's not bats in the attic so that's not covered by the warranty. Though I was specifically told they checked the attic for for other ways creatures could get in and sealed for everything not just bats. I feel like they are the type of company that will nickel and dime you. And use their scientific terminology to get extra money out of you and make you feel like you have no choice but to pay the crazy prices. A Great Company!! We had a ton of bees in a column on our front porch. I was very concerned about my children getting stung since it was so close to the front door. Verron was so incredibly helpful in trying to leverage every means possible - including using a picture of my home from the internet - to determine the extent of my problem, where the problem was, and what kind of bees I had. She did everything she could to help me not spend more than necessary. What company wants to make sure you don't have to spend more than you should??!?! She was very through in explaining the charges. She was also very through in explaining that if the bees were honeybees and not yellow jackets that they would need to be removed and not sprayed. A more complicated procedure, which I completely understood. The USDA estimates that the honeybee populations are less than half what they were in 1940. DO NOT KILL THE HONEYBEES!! Unfortunately, when I was at work, a contractor working in my home sprayed the nest. Unfortunately they were honeybees. What you would expect a company who does pest control to say is ok, we will cancel your appointment. Instead she was upset about the loss of the bees. If you want a critter removed and you want a company that truly cares about you and about that critter. Call them. I will never call another company other than Southern Wildlife Management. read more

Last October (2017) I had Southern Wildlife Management come out to take care of squirrel infestation in two separate areas of my roof. They had to set traps out around my yard and were able to capture 2 female squirrels before starting work. After determining they would not be able to capture more they then went around my roof sealing all areas where squirrels could get in, or so I thought. I paid what I thought was a fair price for the work done. I then had a company come out and clean out all the old insulation in my attic and replace it with new insulation at a cost of almost $3,000. Just recently I heard a noise in the attic in two places where I had heard they squirrels before. I had SWM come out again because they have a one time free inspection to determine if squirrels have gotten in on their work. The two men that came out inspected inside and said they couldn't determine if they were in the attic because of all the new insulation, so went outside to the roof and found where they had chewed on a pvc vent pipe, but also found another place they had missed under my soffit they had missed when doing the work last year. They charged me another $175 to fix it on top of the almost $2,000 I paid to have the work done before. I was very upset as I felt they should have seen the place before and fixed it then, plus the chance of having squirrels back in my attic with all the new clean insulation. They would have received a 5 star from me up until recently. If you have work done by they make sure you add a clause in there that if they have to come back because of their mistake, there is no charge. Pat M. read more

Southern Wildlife Management to the rescue! After spotting a bat perched under our deck, I called SWM on a Saturday late afternoon. I was provided with details of what they could do to help me, and what I may or may not be facing after their inspection. There was an inspection charge, but it would be applied to any service work they might have to do. The service was well worth the service charge. They worked me into their schedule, and two reps came out. They did a thorough check in the attic and found no evidence of any intrusion, and were able to remove the one bat from under the deck. Bats are supposed to be good for the environment; but I would just as soon that it be someone else's environment--not mine. THANK YOU SOUTHERN WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT! read more

We had a bat that somehow got into my bedroom and refused to leave!! After waking up to the bat in my room I had my daughter try to find it in the day light with no luck. She had a technician from Southern Wildlife Management LLC come out and look for it, but he too couldn't find it! That night sure enough the bat woke up and started to wreak havoc again! It was 1:30 in the morning and we were desperate to get this bat out so I could sleep. We called the wonderful people at Southern Wildlife Management LLC and they were so kind so send someone out to come hand remove this bat from my room. I cannot begin to tell you how great this company was to us. They sent a technician out at 2 in the morning!!! I would not wish for anyone to need wildlife removal, but if you ever DO need it I would recommend Southern Wildlife Management LLC a hundred times over.
