Well, the fish and chips are good.

The fish and chips were good. They have a British menu until 5:30pm and then it becomes Indian. We actually went for Indian, but missed it by 45 minutes. It's right next to the Hounslow Center Station, so the location is great.

Decent Indian food, fun atmosphere, good prices. Convenient to the Houslow Central tube and the Days Hotel (and LHR)!

I visited this pub on 30/03/2026, between approximately 12:18 and 13:18. I was sitting on a stool…read moreat the bar and noticed that some people including the bartender were vaping inside the building. I asked the bartender if vaping was allowed. She replied that it was allowed in the pub, but not at the bar. I then mentioned that, as far as I knew, smoking or vaping is usually prohibited indoors. The bartender responded very loudly and rudely in front of other customers, saying she didn't understand a single word I was saying. I calmly repeated myself, but she again replied in the same loud and rude manner, saying she had already answered my question and that was final. Later, I asked another question - whether I would be allowed to vape while sitting at a table. After that, she told me she would not be serving me another drink, even though I hadn't asked for one. This all happened simply because I was asking questions. I then explained that I am autistic and sometimes find communication difficult. She responded by saying that perhaps a pub was not the right place for me. After I finished my drink, I asked, "I've finished my drink, do I have to leave now?" She replied, "Yes, you have to leave - come back another day." I was simply trying to make sure that I would not break any rules by asking these questions, and I did not vape inside the building at any point during my visit. I found this whole interaction very upsetting. Being spoken to loudly and rudely in front of others, and then asked to leave just for asking questions and after explaining my condition, felt humiliating. I consider this to be clear discrimination based on my disability and nationality.

They were very nice and offered some local advice. There was no one sitting at the bar, so I temporarily perched there. Surprisingly cheap beer on tap! There was a pool table, dart boards, juke box. Overall, a nice pub and I would recommend if in the area. Everyone said the food was good, but I only had a Guinness :P

I had the wild mushroom poached egg toast which was simply outstanding. I also had the tomato basil soup which was very good. My husband had the Cajun chicken on a bun with fries. It was very good. The fries were extra tasty. We had Stoke's Ketchup for the first time and liked that as well. There is seating inside and out. We opted for inside since the front seating is on a busy road. Then we noticed rear seating in a garden and probably would have opted for that, but we had already moved once.

They had one server and she told us that she was the only one working that night and because of that and a shortage in kitchen staff that there was an hour wait for food and that we might want to consider going somewhere else. We elected to stay and put in a drink order. 20 minutes later she came back to take our food order, but no drinks were brought back. We eventually got our drinks and then 40 minutes later she came back and said that they lost our food order and we'd have to re-order if we wanted to eat there. I would've bailed at this point, but my guests agreed to put in their order again, so an hour later we finally received our food. I was not planning on dining at 10 PM. Overall, food was good (I had their meat pie). The place looks and feels like the quintessential English pub. Unfortunately, it was a pretty disastrous dining experience due to a lack of staff.
