    Our meals.

I came in with some colleagues for dinner. In spite of it being a busy Saturday night we were quickly seated. Our server was super friendly and helpful. He brought our drinks quickly. Four of us ordered fish and chips. And one colleague ordered the burger. We all thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. The fish was nice and hot and had just the amount of crunch. My colleague said she loved her burger. I would definitely come back again.

Cute and original place to visit while you are in London It was a walking distance from our hotel and enjoyed the time spend at The Britannia Fish and chips were crispy and well cooked with a good flavor. Cocktails drinks not as good as the food. However still had a good experience. Whenever I'm back to London I will definitely visit this place again

I was famished and needed some sustenance quick. So I whip out my handy dandy Samsung S6 Edge Plus. Tap on the yelp app and found this Gem of a place. Big plus is that it's only a couple of block from my hotel. The dining setting is industrial meets homey atmosphere kind of setting. With arm chairs, couches and proper tables everywhere. It feels like it's a very trendy place to be. It's a bit dim, but not too dim that you can properly see the menu. I ordered the hagis and black pudding scotch egg for my starter. Then the steak and ale pie for my main event. The scotch egg had really great flavors, the coating had a tiny hint of the hagis taste and the rich flavor of the black pudding finishes the dish. Egg was done medium which is perfect. The steak and ale pie was actually very good. The flavor of the ale surfaces quite well with every spoon full, plus the flaky pie crust meshes so well with the roux. Anyways, come eat here because it's such a pleasant place to be. My service I experience was very nice and I would come, eat and spend money here again.

The Brittania, Allen Street, is a Young's Pub tucked away just off Kensington High Street. It's a large and spacious pub, and used be a favourite haunt of real ale drinkers in the area. It had a major makeover a few years ago, which involved removing the bar partitions, painting everything a very trendy dark grey-green, and installing lots of leather furniture (including lots of very high stools with high tables). While the result is very slick, and the different spaces work well, I can't help feeling that it's rather lost most of its character: it just feels like any other upmarket bistro, rather than a pub. On a recent visit, it was eerily quiet and a bit lifeless. Despite listing Young's extensive range of beers on their menu, they only had Young's Bitter available, having run out of their summer ale (Waggledance). One area that has also changed is the food: the restaurant is definitely more upmarket, with starters from £4.50-£6.50, and mains from £10-£17, with 12.5% service charge added on top. We've not eaten there, but the food looks decent, and is claimed to be organic (they list their suppliers on their website), and there is an extensive wine list. Expect two courses with wine to come to about £35 a head. They also do bar food in the rather more affordable £6-£7 bracket, 10-30-17h only. So, worth considering for a special meal out, or maybe a quick drink with friends if you are in the area, but the nearby Scarsdale has rather more character, and more beer choices, for my money.

Excellent pink G&T with fab atmosphere and amazing service

Popped in for a G&T and honestly to check the place out as the yelp reviews weren't the best and I am so pleased that I did. Service was excellent, very helpful and friendly. My G&T was perfection and my only complaint is that I had dinner plans with friends elsewhere so I wasn't able to stay for dinner.

Traditional English Pub. Fish and Chips and Sticky Toffee Pudding are divine. Simply lovely.

We had a fantastic Sunday roast (pork), and the bangers and mash weren't too bad either. It's a cute little find off the main road.

Very rude people work there. We went twice and both times the guys behind the bar were rude.

It's at the bottom of a Holiday Inn, or at least, it appeared to be that way, and was a strange mish-mash of a pub. I think it was trying to feel like it was really old, yet it had the strangest collection of furniture and decor. We had a blast making fun of this tavern. Tables were laid out in sort of a weird fashion and at first we were really close to this group of 20 somethings that were fairly drunk and really obnoxious and a woman who was sitting by herself at a table for 6 who was reading a book while her food sat off to the side. The drunk group left and it got nice and quiet and so did the woman who had a better table than we did so we took her table. Nothing we drank was anything we'd ever come back for. There are way too many good pubs in London. Unless everything else is closed and this is the only option, go elsewhere!

Plenty of seating options and if you want to make it a working lunch, there's outlets nearby to grab some juice while you get some...juice. GF'ers, try the Old Mout Cider - very refreshing. The food looked (and smelled) good but it was only liquid libations for us. Great staff, everyone was friendly. Not sure what the thing about hotel guests only is, I'm sure there were other people here and they weren't checking for room keys.

Confirmed with our hotel concierge, we set foot for The Anglesea Arms. When we got there, there were about 100 lads and lasses outside enjoying pints and conversation. Thought we would have to settle elsewhere for our grub. We decided to inquire inside and found the restaurant side to be relatively empty, this was about 7pm. Josh was our wonderful waiter. We all enjoyed our fish ( golden fried haddock) and chips, along with a few pints of local lager. Wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend this pub. As a note, when we exited, we discovered even more lads and lasses had congregated outside. If your young and enjoy a few pints, this was a hot spot, at least on a Friday evening.

We came by to just take pictures to send to them but decided to pop in for drinks and lunch. It was 12:30 and we were hungry from walking around all morning. We sat outside on the patio out front. It had a reserved sign on the table but the hostess said we can have the table. It was a hot day with maybe the 3rd or 4th heat wave of the summer! We wanted to sit outside but in the shade. The table they gave us was perfect! The pints and cocktails were a perfect start. We ordered: Crab malfade £20 Chicken and Parm Ham Schnitzel £20.50 Fish & Chips £22.50 Only the crab malfade was good. The rest of the meals were not great but we were hungry so we ate them. Still giving them a 4 stars for great ambiance and service. Definitely more of a drinks spot.
