These guys came in and knocked it out of the park! We've worked with Jereme, Beril, Albert and everyone on the team. Each has been responsive, informative, PATIENT, and reasonable. Working with us on our commercial building was quite a task. There were so many last minute issues that would arise and they were able to come in at a reasonable cost and work quickly to resolve each one. We used just about all the boys, Builder, Stucco and Paint Boy. We found the benefit of keeping all of the work under one roof. It was near seamless this way. They completed the exterior of our building, resurfaced our balcony, painted our entire interior, installed our floor moulding, doors and more. The list is endless. We were remodeling our kitchen, and while we wanted to do much of it on our own, we did want a professional to come in and redo our cabinets. So great to work with! Their price is high and they did such a bad job. We hired them to paint our house before we moved in so the house was empty but they missed so many spots. The previous color still showing. A hand print left on a wall too. They painted the closet only one coat. We called them to come out to do the touch up it took forever. The touch up appointment was set for 9am and nobody show up. We called 3 times they kept saying someone is on the way. They didn't come until 3 hours later. We live local it only takes 15min max. Our real estate agent is looking for a painter. I'll make sure he doesn't hire Builder Boy. read more

Builder Boy is the best! I am so impressed with the work and improvements made in my house...it's like new! The walls and ceilings were textured uniformly throughout, recessed lighting was installed in the living room, a tv mount with a hidden tube for electronics cords was installed and the laundry area (previously covered with a curtain) was covered with a fabulous set of double doors. Beautiful solid panel doors were installed and the vaulted chandelier was updated and installed. Everyone I worked with at Builder Boy was very knowledgable and courteous. Builder Boy was one of four contractors that we were getting estimates from for our home remolding project. Jereme and his team were patient with my questions, responded back to e-mails, and phone calls which is a plus with a contractor. As a result, we had decided to go with Builder Boy. It took a few months to plan the project since it was going to be almost the entire house and we also worked with Satin & Slate for the designs. Unfortunately, this whole pandemic happened right before we were going to get started. We decided to conserve our finances and not move forward at this time. Jereme was completely understanding and sympathetic in our need to hold off. We were fortunate that we had not begone the project but felt bad that we could not give him our business. Even though we did not actually do the project I will say this in working with Jereme and his team in preparing for the remolding, they were fantastic!. Jereme made a few visits to our home, made excellent suggestions, gave much needed constructive criticism and he has an all-around great attitude. We used Builder Boy for our kitchen cabinets, and I have to agree with Miguel A. that their communication is terrible. Nonexistent, really. The only time they called me was when they sent me an invoice, then they were very quick to call and ask for payment. It's been 4 months since the cabinet installation started (March 28), and there is still work to be done. I call, I email, I text, and no one responds. Or they text me that they're sending someone, who comes for an hour and does some work, then leaves. No one from the company has ever checked in to see if the work is done; I have to keep contacting them asking if they're ever going to come back and finish. It's sort of comical at this point. The cabinets they installed are nice--hence the extra star--but the process has been so incredibly ridiculous that I cannot in good conscience recommend them. I mean, four months later and I'm still waiting for this project to be finished. read more

RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!! Uneducated, unprofessional!! The person that answered the phone, her name was Nica or Mica..., hung up on me. I called and asked for an estimate. She asked for my address. I gave it to her and also said: it is a new build, new construction so you won't be able to google it. If they call me when we meet, I will give them instruction how to get there. She said : I need an actual address to tell our guys how to get there. I repeated what I just said. She still said : I need an actual address... I raised my voice said I just gave you one and I will give you directions... She hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak to her boss. She asked for my number to give to her boss to call me back. That didn't happen. Well they just miss a $20,000 project. Update: She did hang up on me. My father always told me that the quality of a persons work is in the details. If you believe that as well then Builder Boy is NOT the place you want to deal with. We had painting and other things done to the inside of our house and it was a nightmare of return trips to fix problems time and time again. Example: we had the door frames in the house painted. After they left I noticed that the top of the frames were not painted. When I asked the OWNER about this he said. " we don't paint where you can't see". I think this pretty much says it all. So if you need a contractor make sure you deal with men, NOT BOYS !!! P. S. we still have a crack in our ceiling that they caused and can't fix. read more

I used BB to paint my kitchen cabinets and build a cabinet/pantry. Unlike the other contractors that bid the job, they called back within the same day and were able to bid the job within the next few days. I can't say enough good things about Nathalie. She came to my house and really listened to me. She helped me choose a color for cabinets and designed the pantry. She communicated well with me throughout the job. Jereme is very good at selling but the follow through and work below standards and was terrible and my wife and children have suffered due to his lack or care, craftsmanship and lack of service. Be very careful when you chose your builder, make sure you check the state board license web site and look up the contractors license number. Buiderboy is currently under review and violations for Advertising as Insured when they were not, Excessive down payments and no hazardous removal certificate and a few other. I called the Builder Boy crew out to remodel my master bathroom in April. Nathalie had designed my bathroom. She had provided me with multiple options and ideas for cabinets and tiling. She had constructed ample amount of drawings and designs that were helpful in visualizing the space too. If it weren't for her I don't know what I would do. Unfortunately I did not have the same positive experience that other reviews had. In fact, this has probably been the worst customer service that I have ever experienced for work done to my home. In May 2014 I had stucco resurfacing, trim painting and foam molding applied to my home - all contracted by Builder Boy. The estimates were fair and they were very timely when it came to returning estimates. And then everything went downhill. When it came to having the work performed, the schedule was not consistent. There was a different rotation of workers and they would all show up on various schedules. There were areas of stucco that were not done as consistent due to the rotation of workers. What was strange is that Builder Boy would want to collect payment even before the work effort was finished adequately. They broke tiles on the roof (those were replaced) and they were extremely messy. There was a huge dispute with foam molding as they wanted to charge me the same amount for doing an entire window vs just the ledge of the window sill, which was totally ridiculous. The painting work was done last and what was crazy was on the last day they had the contractors hired to do the stucco work do the painting (they were not painters!). The owner Jereme is downright rude - I can't imagine having to work for someone like that! We'll almost a year later I have stucco falling off my planters (not prepped properly) and I have paint bubbling and coming off the wood trim of my garage. I also have some of the foam on my windows sinking and the paint peeling off of those as well. I reported the damage back in February and it's almost May (no resolve). They came out to look at the damage (I told them to bring a ladder) which they didn't bring. I was told the paint repair would happen this week (no follow up). In fact I send emails without them following up at all!!! It's interesting that the people posting positive reviews don't provide a lot of detail. PLEASE do your homework and be careful of this company! It's not fun or fair to babysit a contractor you pay a lot of money to do good work and people deserve quality work. read more

We decided to use Builder Boy to install new windows, doors and to re-stucco our house after they put on a second story addition for my father's house. Unfortunately, I was not happy with the project. They came every morning for two weeks at 7:30 in the mourning with their loud compressors and nail guns interfering with my sleep. The workers even asked to use our bathroom on more than one occasion. They finished the project three days early and did not even offer us a credit. I really do not have any complaints about the work itself other than the noise and how early they start. Unfortunately, my wife referred them to our neighbors I hope they have better luck. read more

Builder Boy just completed a large job on our house in Del Rey, which included a complete restuccoing of the entire exterior of our two story house, painting of all the trim, and the laying of exposed aggregate concrete steps and porches in front and back, as well as a front walkway. We had an extremely positive experience throughout the process, with Albert Gallegos overseeing everything and responding quickly, expertly, and positively to all of our questions and requests. Very poor communication. They sent 2 estimators out after the first one spend about 30 mins with us and then just disappeared. Both estimators promised quotes within days but weeks later I'm still chasing up. Quotes were missing items we discussed, and were vastly over priced. They said they would give us options for material costs but didn't list that on the quote. Girl at the office was very nice and apologetic but doesn't make up for having to chase them repeatedly. Suffice to say we won't be using their construction services if they can't do an estimate on time. read more

I found Builder Boy on Yelp when my contractor that was working on our room addition skipped out on the last step: stucco work. Super glad I found them. Kenny came out and gave us an estimate right away (within a few days). Work was scheduled as soon as I signed the contract. Contract was very professional, which was important to me because I am a lawyer and I can't tell you how many times contractors have tried to get away with charging too much for a deposit or not present a contract at all. The contract and Kenny made me feel comfortable, in addition to the Yelp reviews. On the first day, workers arrived an hour late, but that wasn't a big deal to me. Kenny stayed in communication with me by text, which I appreciated. Workers were pretty neat, although they did leave an empty Red Bull can the end of another aluminum can on the ground. Not cool. The second day, workers again arrived an hour late, but again, not a big deal to me. They weren't able to match the stucco color as closely as I'd hoped but I was prepared for it not to match exactly as our home is painted, not colored stucco. Color is close enough that I don't have to paint the room addition. I happen to speak Spanish, which always helps with workers whose first language is Spanish. This was no exception. They were respectful and professional. All in all, very good experience. I knocked down a star for late arrivals and couple items of trash, but had I been able to only knock half a star, I would have. :) read more

We start with Cabinet needs for fast delivery that can only happen with local company then, we went on to the Painting, all other Repairs, Stucco, siding of the wall (exterior), Windows and its frames.
