After an amazing lunch at their other store (Build Yo Salad), we just had to go to get some Poke. They greeted us warmly and offered us a sample of one of their special poke bowls. This sample was such a generous portion that all four of us were able to try it. The fish was so fresh and good. I ordered a medium poke with spicy salmon and spicy tuna and had her make it with all the ingredients she made the sample with. It was so delicious and like their other shop, generous portions. You have to have negative brain cells to work here. There was zero customers when I walked in and the meats I wanted were running low, fine it's almost closing time. I asked for 2 large bowls, which was 6 scoops of protein total--there was only enough for 4 scoops total. At the end, the guy still tried to charge me for 2 large bowls opposed to 2 medium bowls. He keeps insisting he can add the extra scoops, no thanks I just wanna leave at this point with what I have. I don't want to wait for you to mix up some more protein which was clearly very hard for them to keep replenished. How are you so low on the main source of the bowls with 2 people working??? It literally comes in bags you tear open and voila, it's ready! I've been there before with 1 woman working, and I was in and out in 3 minutes with a decent sized meal. Of course, 2 men can't handle the same workload. Then they had the nerve to say "it's just the difference of medium and large"......yeah, 4 bucks total plus some more tax for 2 whole scoops I didn't receive!!!!!! I've tried about 3 different poke spots including this one, the one at Banks Food Hall, and Pokémon in Opelika. I saw people rave about this spot so I had to try it out and definitely did not disappoint! I am a HUGE foodie and I was surprised to see the plentiful options you could add to build your perfect poke bowl. The service was also amazing. The menu was easy to read and follow. And my first time experience here was a breeze. The restaurant itself is small and not a place you want to go sit and eat, but rather take it to go. I could tell their fish quality was good and I did not get sick or feel sick after devouring my bowl! I'll definitely be back and will be recommending this spot to others. read more

Delicious food! Every time Ive visited, the service has been decent and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant is fairly small, but overall is nice and clean for the most part. I wouldn't recommend coming with a party of more than 4 people. It seems better to order from here rather than eating in. Still, delivery is delicious as well! read more

Very dissatisfied with my meal. The portions have just gone way downhill, they don't put any sauce on the bowls anymore, it's very sad. Servers we're very cold and rude. This place has gotten so stingy, they are charging $.75 per any extra cream cheese cube, even when their menu advertises getting "any toppings." Build yo poke used to be a great establishment, but I think it is now unfortunately on the downward spiral. Probably won't be returning :/ read more

Great service from the staff. They're willing to give their recommendations (which is typically towards a build your own rather than a set which won't be as customizable). From my understanding there's one other poke place in Columbus and this is my preferred poke location. Portion is good and again, if you're doing a build your own, you're allowed to ask for extra toppings; at least from what is included. Any additional costed toppings/proteins they'll usually inform you but it doesn't hurt to ask before you add it in. It's a smaller side for the establishment so you could eat there but it's just easier to grab and go. Now that we're getting into warmer weather I recommend bringing a cooler bag just to keep the fish at a safe temperature. Speaking of which, fish tastes fresh and you can tell that the employees have tried combinations as well (bonus in my opinion). Have been and will be back! read more

Stumbled upon this place by accident, and I'm so glad I did! I got the house poke bowl with brown rice, cooked salmon, tofu, and added masago. They offer sample bowls, which was great because I never would have thought to get that bowl. This place just opened July 12th, and is only the 2nd Poke place in Columbus that I'm aware of. The variety is much higher than that of PokeSun, the price is better, and I would argue the quality as well. The owner did his research, even visiting Hawaii to see how it's really done.
