    Birthday Bear

My father and I visited this place just before it closed to celebrate my birthday! We got a birthday bear and some clothes. I usually write reviews a little longer, but I don't have a lot of time today. (The service is great!) Thank you for reading my review:)

    Birthday bear!

They have a special offer for Build-A-Bear Bonus Club members where you just pay the age the child is turning for a special birthday bear. The bonus club is free, and I brought my baby in during her birthday month and got a cute teddy! Fun environment, and there are lots of options for add-ons such as music, a beating heart, clothes and accessories. But I thought all the extras would scare her, so I just got the bear itself--and she loved it! So soft and cuddly. :)

Too over priced !!! I've had a bear with my sound for 6months . My daughter only clicked it a few times to hear my voice other than that the bear is hung In her wall and we'll take. Care of. Today we try to click it and it won't even turn on. So disappointing!!!

The Thurs 07/12/18 Pay Your Child's Age promotion caused hundreds in line waiting for hours for the deal.

The Thurs 07/12/18 Pay Your Child's Age promotion caused hundreds in line waiting for hours for the deal. They opened at 9am and the mall itself does not open until 10am but clearly many (hundreds!) came early, and I speculate maybe even 6am or so based on the existing line we faces at 9am that went from the Build A Bear store, down to and through the food court, then routed outside into the parking structure near Macy's and it seemed very slow moving, as many customers did not register for the free Build a Bear membership (you can do that on advance online) to qualify for the offer (pay the age of your child $1-$29 per stuffed animal) I think the purpose of this promotion was not to give away bears cheap be cause a branding visual and scene at the retail stores. Otherwise they could have had a way better system, including just handing out coupons to the "while supplies last" quantity number and have people wait, come back later or return at an assigned timeframe rather than have hundreds of impatient kids and their aggravated parents wait in line for hours not knowing how long they have to wait to get their item. So, I can't blame Build a Bear for their motivation to make people earn their discount by being visual props as well as registering online for inclusion into their marketing database. We opted to decline waiting, since time is a valuable asset and it was hard to justify waiting for hours with kids for a savings of less than $30 which is a fantastic deal if you are willing to pay your dues and wait.

Kids have been busting our butts to take them for a build a bear. finally decided to go. lots of choices, lots of options for the kids to put together a fun bear. Now the cost, ouch, for sure mall prices. we got two "bears",one dyno and one rabbit, with a few options and the bill came to $90, OUCH. 90 for two stuffed animals. Now don't get me wrong , as far as stuffed animals go, these are the Beverly Hills 90210 of stuff animals. you can choose your style, then have it stuffed, then pick a smell, yes i said smell, then a sound, then have them put a heart in it. They even have dresses, shoes, hats, outfits etc you get the picture, crazy options to choose from. But thats how the cost adds up. all those little options are a few dollars each. The staff was super nice and explained the process and how it all works and goes together. Lucky we had a gift card for $45, so after our gift card, the two bears were only about $40, not that bad. But with out that it would be close to $100. so dont go in thinking its going to be $20 and done. Kids love them so all good....

They make it fun for the little ones to build a bear. A little on the expensive side tho. Hello Kitty cost me about $70

I really appreciate Sheila's help coordinating and planning the party. Everything went smoothly. She was very helpful with the flow and made announcements. This helped the guests stay with the program. There was also a bracelet station for kids to enjoy. That was a fun bit. The decorations were beautiful! All the kids loved it. I'll definitely keep this place in mind when it's time to plan our kids' birthdays again! The place is on the smaller side so I'd recommend it for a party of 50-60 guests. I do like the size of the play area being a bit small so the kids are easier to spot. ZoomiZoomi is located on the second floor, right by Dick's Sporting Goods.

No matter how hard you try to Google map this location, the exact location won't show. The Google map will just show you that it is somewhere in the mall. Keep in mind that Del Amo Mall is a huge mall. We learned the hardware by parking 1/4 mile away. The way we found out is we had to look at a touch map inside the mall. It was quite confusing because the legend is not stationary, it rotates 180 degrees from your location. Always remember it is by Dicks Sporting Goods, nothing else. This place is hidden on the 2nd floor. It looks like a store. Deceiving looks from the outside. Arrived at this location which we were greeted for checkin under the birthday boys name. You must take off your shoes to enter, so make sure you have clean socks on. The other way is to wear some plastic booties, but it is frowned upon. That option is usually used as a last resort, like not wearing socks. The party was private, you can only have 1 party at a time. You self cater your food and drinks to the gathering. You can even bring a cooler with alcoholic beverages! Which is a plus for grown adults. Social and gathering with adult beverages males the conversation sweeter. This place is not like a chuckie cheese, it is more intimate with a core family since it is private. Its small so it may seem tight to move around. Place accommodates a jungle playground with plastic balls. Enough for the little ones to be entertained. There is one host that works there to assist with the games, food and photography (someones cellphone). That worker is very helpful. The other host works at the front counter for admission. Also you can even hire a character to visit and play games. Surprise appearance by Sonic! Woot woot! Overall, it is small and private. Good enough for 50 people. I will throw a small gathering here on a rainy day, cold or Superhot day only. There is nothing a public park cant provide that zoomi offers. Especially on a warm comfortable day. :) Lots of parking at the mall. Friendly helpful workers (only 2 of them). The 2 negative things is that stood out is removal of shoes and 1 restroom to use. Overall this place will get the job done to celebrate an ntimate birthday party. Fun fun ! Package pricing is unknown, I was not the host but assume it was a good deal since 90% of the party resources was purchased outside of the venue. Comfortable, cozy and small.

The space has two floors -- one floor is strictly jumping castles, and the other floor has mini rides and mini golf. The issue is that the rides and mini golf cost additional money on top of the admission price ($2 per ride). It's about $30 for a child and $10 for an adult just to get in, so having to pay extra for most of the activities felt excessive. There was also only one employee working the entire floor with the rides and mini golf, which made things feel understaffed and unorganized. Cleanliness was another big concern. There were crumbs and dirt all over the floors, and the men's restroom changing station was very dirty -- the baby changing platform was especially unpleasant. Overall, this place did not feel like a good value for the price. I wouldn't recommend it, especially considering the additional costs and lack of cleanliness.

My son has difficulty making/keeping friends and "doesn't like to talk to grownups", but he loves the staff here. As a middle-aged mom, I would call the coaches themselves "kods" because they are at least half my age, but they are AMAZING with my son. He "got hurt" his first class and yelled/cried, but the coaches let him have his feelings, got him ice, and taught him how to avoid that situation in the future. After only 2 official classes and 2 longer events, my son has more confidence and says that he "loves the coaches". Hopefully he will make some friends his own age soon too because they have the same love of literally jumping off walls. The reservation process was easy and the staff walked me through each step and checked in when they said they would to finalize details. Once we arrived, they helped to unload our car with the supplies and basically set up the party room themselves--which was awesome and looked great! The kiddos are given a quick breakdown of rules, and then we all went into the Village Arena. I really like that you get the play and dining areas to yourselves. They ran around like crazy for about an hour and half. There's a huge indoor slide which was fun not just for the kids, but also the adults! I wasn't sure if we should book the village or ultimate arena, but for kids ages 2-10, the village arena had more than enough bouncy houses and activities to keep everyone entertained. We had two staff members assigned to our group, I think their names were Eddie and Jacob? They were seriously fantastic. It was nice to have people step in to help with moving the party along, and also with set-up and clean-up. Their help made the party so much more enjoyable for me as well, since I could focus more of my energy on my son and our guests. The food was yummy, the staff was great, and the space is perfect for little ones. Oh, and there's quite a bit of flexibility on the food items you can bring in which can help to cut the overall cost down. If you're looking for a venue that has a private play and dining space, maintains a list of attendees and their respective gifts and cards, handles loading/unloading vehicles and set-up/clean-up, AND provides food options all under one roof--then Scooter's Jungle is the spot for your kiddos next birthday party extravaganza!

They keep a numbered list of guests who sign in and put that number sticker on the gift they bring. So smart! I'd say the target age is probably 3-6? I know they advertise for older and younger, but the best parties I've been to are 4-5 year olds because they can actually enjoy the big slide and use the play areas with minimal adult support. The parties are completely private, so no mixing with the public. They do pizza and cake service for you. They are friendly. The birthday kid gets a king's crown and special seat at the head of the table in their party room. The only "complaint" I'd have, if any, is that the kids have so much fun in the play area that sometimes it feels rushed once we get into the party room for cake. Also, the location is a bit random, they do have a parking lot, but spaces seem limited if you come during a hot hour. Despite that, it is very easy for the host.
