    Celebrating my daughters special day!
    Amanda H.

This was my first time to Build-A Bear and the entire staff was amazing. Aspen especially went above and beyond to make sure my daughters birthday bear experience was special. We got in there only about 15 mins before closing (cause dinner ran long), so I expected them to rush us or at least be exhausted by the end of the day... but NO! They were fantastic. They went above and beyond to make sure my little girl get loved and special on her birthday.

    Our new kitten, Flower.

It kept our little one busy for hours. We came in last Monday in the afternoon and it wasn't too crowded. We were a little bummed that one of the rides (the blaster one) was broken down. Our son did have a lot of fun on Merlin's apprentice and watched his first short movie at their 4D cinema. He especially loved building a car out of legos and raced his car on the track several times. He even enjoyed walking through miniland to see all cool the Lego creations. There is a small cafe located inside but we didn't get a chance to try it out since they were closing. There's also slides and a climbing area where our son was able to burn off a lot of energy. Prices are OK at the front but it's best if you can find a Groupon deal. Our son absolutely loved this place! We will definitely be back the next time we're in Dallas.

The rides are definitely made for very small kids so probably seven or eight years old tops. However, the adults are able to ride the one that goes in the air, and also the one that goes in a circle where you're supposed to blast things. I will say though, out of the two cars that were running the car that we had, which I believe was number 5, half of the blaster guns did not work at all and didn't register our score. Restaurant so we only grabbed a drink from this restaurant. But the prices didn't seem too crazy.Honestly, it's there more for convenience you could go outside the mall and find a plenty of other options. Movie so we did do the four d movie.Which really was more of a three d one and it was enjoyable but I would say it seemed like it was a bit long, and didn't feel like the features necessarily were consistently working. I did enjoy, however, making the toy cars and racing my family so it was something that any age could enjoy. I am glad we went.It wasn't too crazy expensive. We were there for at least a couple hours.

In any case, there were probably about 15 dinosaurs in total. Visitors follow a path at their own pace to view each dinosaur. Touching them is prohibited, but you can get pretty much as close as you want to observe and photograph. There is also a small dig area and a staff member walking around with a baby dino the kids can pet. Our first loop through prehistoric park took about 15 minutes. We splashed and swam a bit in the lake and then returned for another quick loop through the dinosaur trail before heading home. Overall, it's a pleasant activity and definitely a kid-pleaser. My children ages 1-9 all enjoyed it. The problem is the cost. $29 is just WAYYYY too high for what this is. Part of me thinks the city of Grapevine should just continue to charge the regular entrance fee into Meadowmere Park and use the dinosaur exhibit as a way to increase traffic into the park during the off-season. We for sure will not be returning to the park until the exhibit is over and the entrance fee returns to a more reasonable rate. If your kid loves dinosaurs and you've never been here, by all means, go, but I'd probably chalk this up to a once in a lifetime activity.

There's an area with carnival type dinosaur games (ring toss, feed the Dino, etc.). Aside from the Dino attractions, the park itself is beautiful. Definitely worth the price of entry!

It's not a super spacious play area, but seriously has all the fun essentials neatly packed together. Let's talk about what they have in store for the kiddos. You have to climb up first to get to the slides. The slides are the perfect length for toddlers! I know some slides that I have encountered are super high up, risking the kiddos bumping their heads if they are going down solo. There was a ride on toy car, rock climbing wall, ball pit, stuff animals, target shopping area, puzzles, etc. Let's just say it was the perfect size for my toddler to run around without me worrying. I was able to keep my eyes on him while carrying a conversation. Most importantly, they keep the place so clean. You can tell when a location is not worn down based on the cleanliness of the mats and colorful padding. The weekend is a popular time for others to reserve birthday parties. Make sure to check their website to see what the hours are open play for the day. For example, today open play was from 9-11am and 5:30 to 9pm. We will definitely be back if we happen to be in the vicinity.

Located inside Entrance 1 at Grapevine Mills this store is bringing a selection of toys to the mall that were off-brand, and I believe to be pretty average quality. There was nothing here that I could imagine getting to excited about, but again, maybe if I had my kids with me they would feel different. The service was just there. I was welcomed after being in the store approximately 5 minutes, but not asked how I could be helped or if I was looking for something in particular. I was actually looking for something for a young lady who had broken her arm earlier that day. I suppose at some items being 50% off and some being buy one get one at 50% off some will consider this place a great value, just not my cup of tea.

Meaning I got two for $14.99, $14.99 x 2=$29.98 and I got two for full price ($29.99), $29.99 x 2 =$59.98. In that case, $29.98 + $59.98 =$89.96. I'm assuming they do not charge tax since when I handed her my crisp $100 dollar bill, she just charged me the $89.96. She said, and I quote, "I'm going to be 60 cents short, I am so sorry." Poor management, always make sure your till is stocked up with change no matter what (coming from a cashier with years of experience.) I was in a hurry, it's graduation season and I've been looking for Labubu dolls EVERYWHERE, I said it was okay if she was 60 cents shorts, I should have received $9.44 back in change. It wasn't until I got home late at night that I realized she only handed me $2. It is partially my fault for not checking in the moment, the one time I do not check my change is the time someone does me dirty. She gave me no receipt, waited until the end of the transaction and after staring at me for a good few seconds she offered me a bag. I won't be shopping here anymore, and I hope the owner sees this review and teaches their employees to be better. Oh and the labubu are FAKE. Buyer beware.
