I've always wanted to go to Build-A-Bear when I was a kid. Honestly, it felt like a little girl's dream come true! There was even a big birthday party going on when we walked in, which was so cute. I convinced my fiancé and we each made a bear, and it was so much fun. I made one for my mom and even personalized it with a sweet message. The employees were super friendly and helpful the whole time. In the end, we left with two adorable bears for our moms. It was a fun experience, reasonably priced, and I would totally do it again. We had such a great experience here! Breanna was absolutely wonderful--so patient, kind, and fun the entire time. My son needed to have his bear "under surgery" to add a new sound, and she stayed fully engaged with him, talking him through every step and making it feel special! Our girls love Build-A-Bear. This was our first visit since they moved upstairs. I love how they have them all displayed on stands now. Guess what? They sell the stands too! So we can display them at home too. The new silky dresses dont seem as nice as others, but they sure have a lot to choose from. If you make a purchase you can buy gift cards starting at $5 which gives you a $10 card! The more you spend, the more savings you get. The girl's Build-A-Bears have a nicer wardrobe than mine. Probably more pieces as well. Ha ha I waiting for them to grow out of them, but there are adults building daily too. We are running out of room. The stuffed animals have taken over. The staff is sweet and friendly. If you don't see it in store, check online. It is free shipping if you spend over $25. A great place to celebrate a birthday. These stuffed toys offer a lot more than fun they also soothe the soul. I would almost say this experience is therapeutic to those in need; of all ages. The staff can enhance this experience by putting their "magic" touch, especially in the stuffing portion. This was certainly our experience with GIGI, the best heartfelt staff we've ever encountered at any build a bear. She was amazing with her interaction with our child. So much so I have to let the world know. Also let the manager Bree know. Gigi makes the magic of bringing any stuffed animal to life. We upgraded our little rabbit with everything gadget/accessories she offered to us. Thank you for making my kid's day GIGi. In case you're not aware what build a bear is; You get to build a stuffed animal from start to finish. You even name it and receive a birth certificate. They come with a warranty and they will re-fill it if necessary. They always have different options and collaborations with different characters so the options always change; as does the clothes and accessories like scents, sounds, even heartbeat effects. I lost my husband almost 2 years ago. Our little ones will be turning 5 and the other 4. The kind people at build a bear were so sweet and helpful. They helped me to figure out how to put his voice in each of the children's stuffed animals. They brought me tissues as I cried like a baby preparing these special surprises for our babies. Store is well organized and staff was friendly! Our visit was on a weekday mid day so there were no lines or wait. As with any build a bear workshops everything is extra so make sure you take advantage of sales, rewards, pre-prep kids (if possible ) so they know what they can and can't get in advance or be prepared to spend some $$$. read more

The sales tactics here are disgusting. They show the kids the upsell items first, get them to buy in, then turn to the parents: these are $x, do you want them? Right in front of the kids. Over and over. I'll never go here again. read more

This shop is great. My husband and I went in to have a pony plush (zecora) restuffed which they do for free (awesome). While restuffing her they noticed a fairly large rip on the inside of her leg that we didnt notice before. Not only did they do a fantastic job sewing up the hole on her back but they even offered and sewed up the hole on the inside of her leg. They were all smiles and friendly the whole time and even though they started to get busy they still helped us out no problem. I wish I had gotten the girls names but it was about 6 or 7pm on tues, October 29th. Hope that helps get them the recognition they deserve. read more

My chief complaint is THE LINE! Every time we come by here there's never much of a line but when we finally show up one day to actually build a bear, there was a party going on, it was a holiday and everybody and their kid just HAD to get a bear that day. Goodness! I think if there's a party going on, it would be beneficial to have a separate stuffing machine for the party kids. We waited at least 40 minutes to get our pony stuffed. The process is fun though. I loved watching my daughter pick stuff out. It definitely all adds up so maybe come prepared. It might be a good idea to know beforehand what accessories you want to get for your stuffie b'c once you're in that zone of getting stuff, it's hard to tell your kid no. Well, it as for me. Definitely worth doing at least once. Our My Little Pony cost us $80+ so it doesn't come cheap so preparation may help keep your costs down! read more

How about hiring more help? On top of waiting in line over an hour on a WEEKDAY to have a toy stuffed, we then waited in line another 30 min just to pay. In spite of having 3 registers, there was only 1 cashier on duty. This coming from a company with a reported revenue of 358 million dollars in 2017. Give me a freaking break. read more

It's become a tradition for us to have "grandpa" sing a personal song and the grandkids to pick out their own "bear" to love. This store has not only done the last 2 grandkids and made the experience fantastic, but exciting to even a 6 month old. They girls are fun and take the task of bringing the "snuggly" to life perfectly. The older two grandkids still lived in CA but both wore out the "voice" box and loved theirs to the point of needing not only a new song from grandpa, but more stuffing-which they did w/o being asked. I've had a childhood bear that I got when I was 7 it was looking very crusty I tried to fix the issue myself after seeing people on tiktok fix their crusty bear unfortunately mine didn't turn out well but I heard that build a bear would re stuff their bears so I decided to go in and try. this bear holds a lot of meaning to it, i had an unexpected loss in the family and my parents took me to get a companion bear to help me feel better. I explained the situation to the lady who let us in (this was during Covid so there was a limited about of people who could enter) and she was so kind and told the other worker at the stuffing station the meaning behind the bear, I had a few things I wanted to add to the bear other then some of the original stuffing , voice box, and old heart. I got to include a poem that was very meaningful to me and a crystal. Needless to say I have my childhood bear back and it's even more special to me then when originally came in. Thank you for keeping my childhood alive and taking so much time to fixture crusty old bear. read more

After standing in line for a very long time, we were told that the Bears that were advertised for National Teddy Bear Day were gone, but we were told we could "purchase a regular bear, at regular price". This was in the early afternoon, with seven hours of business left in the day. The employee was extremely unapologetic, rude, and offered nothing but " well, were out", without even mustering an apology. Extremely disappointed in the service, failure to prepare for a nationally advertised sale, and overall experience. read more

This place is pathetic. I took my niece here for her birthday and we were ready to have a great day! I already knew the price structure of this place and was ready to lay down some serious cash for her, but the sales methods of these employees were deplorable. My niece was dressing her bear and putting together a mermaid princess costume. I had SEVERAL employees come up to my three year old niece and try to up sell her on items. From a sparkly crown, to ear bows, extra underwear, etc. These people would not stop pushing product on her. The funny part is, my niece did not want any of it. I would have made sure she got whatever she wanted, but these employees preyed on my niece, trying to get her to fall for product that she would beg for, and I would have to cave on. They kept it up all the way to the checkout line! There was nothing special about the store, and I do not think they did anything for the kids in there. No songs or stories, just selling. I understand that everyone has to pay their bills, but have a little respect for yourself. Stop trying to induce a tantrum to sell a few bows. Not to mention, the restroom in this place is a joke. This is a store for kids, and the toilets and sinks are full size. What a disaster! We will not be returning to this store, and probably not to any Build-A-Bear ever again. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. My family and I lost my brother in a car accident last month and we decided to since he was cremated that everyone was to go to build a bear get a bear created and at home we would put his ashes inside of the bear in a bag which we have done before with past family members. We went to the build a bear to do this on Friday and when we asked the woman to not stitch the bears and explained to her why she was super disrespectful and treated us like garbage saying that she could not do that. We then asked if she could stitch them loosely so we could still go home and put his ashes in the bears. She then again was very rude we tried to call corporate because we did not see this in their policy and were hung up on by corporate. The woman working in this build a bear lacked compassion, and was extremely disrespectful to my family while we are mourning and just wanting a bear in remembrance of our family member who has passed. I and a lot of other people will never support a company like this ever again. It's scary that someone as rude and heartless as the woman working in this location is even allowed to be working near children! I am blown away she then called the mall security on us forcing us to exit the mall when we were being completely calm! This place is a joke and they have just lost a lot of customers. I am a big fan of Build-a-Bear Workshop. I visited this particular store only once, but was very happy with the experience. The employees were friendly, pleasant and made it fun. Despite my age (24), they did not judge the fact that I was excited to be making stuffed animals. :) I was also pleasantly surprised by the fact that the newest Halloween bear I was getting at the time, was at a very decent price! This is the place to go to buy a bear. No one else is even close to the experience they provide for kids. The staff is very great hands on and caring. They really manage to help kids feel special when buying and personalizing a new best bear buddy. Keep up the good work. The have a amazing selection and seem to always have new stuff. Was not able to use gift cards that were purchased the same day even though the amount was loaded instantly. Sarah, the store manager said I'd have to come back on another day because build a bear wants customers to spend more money by having to come back in. While I think build a bear itself is over priced, I have to say that I really appreciate the customer service we got today from Jason there. We came a few weekends ago and one of our gift cards we bought from a 3rd party wasn't activated so we had to pay with our credit card. Jason allowed us to come back in with the activated gift card and be refunded the money to our credit card. Our sound also went out the first night we brought our bear home. He replaced it quickly today and made our sons day. He was super nice about everything and quick. read more

We went in knowing we were going to spend $50+ on a stuffed animal. That being said we spent closer to $100 with several outfit choices. The staff was great and helpful. My daughter rarely plays with her build a bear (not their fault). It was a fun experience for her 7th birthday. Overall, she had a great time and the "building process" is very well laid out and customer friendly. I give the staff and selection 5 stars but the price 3 stars - overall = 4 stars. read more
