As recent first time homeowners, we are going through the joys of homeownership. A couple weeks into moving into the house, our kitchen sink became clogged. After attempting to remedy it ourselves with no avail, I came to the trusty Yelp to find the best person to help us with our problem and stumbled across Bugsy. He came the same day I contacted him coming to our rescue. As he was familiarizing himself with our piping, we discovered that the kitchen sink drain line has about a 20ft or more for the water to travel. He got into the lines, cleared out the debris, which to find a huge mushroom caught in there. He cleaned up the mess caused by the waters in the drain. He was a great conversationalist and was great around my too-friendly Pomeranian. He even gave me some tips to prevent the clogs! All in all, I found myself the go-to-guy if I have any future clogs. read more

This was our first time using Bugsy's Rooter and we were referred to him by our plumber (Joe from All Pipes Plumbing, who we trust immensely). Joe said that he had never met Bugsy, but he heard he was a nice guy, he has referred him before and he heard that he does an excellent job. Joe was right. I agree with the previous reviews on Yelp about Bugsy- if there was a way to give him more than 5 stars, Bugsy's Rooter would deserve it. Bugsy stated he said that he would be here within two hours and he was. He kept his word. Very professional and easy going. He explained the entire process to me throughout. We had a clog in the main line that had backed up into our basement bathroom. Bugsy came over before the 2 hours had passed, was here for just over an hour and was knowledgeable, professional and NEAT! You can tell that he is a guy who knows what he's doing because while he was here, he must've had a dozen calls from other plumbers looking for his help. He also gave us honest feedback about other issues that we might have in our house related to previous plumbing work from a renovation years ago. Who does this? Fantastic! I believe that the price was very reasonable given the time and skill level involved, as well as Joe "preparing" me for the clog removal estimate. He worked very efficiently and took time to minimize any mess to our stairs and basement and cleared the clog. He also gave us advice I'm preventing future clogs. Having two kids who frequently take showers and use the toilet, I can't imagine having to wait a day or longer for someone to get here to fix the clog. Overall, Bugsy is a friendly guy who knows what he's doing, solves your clog problem and cleans up afterward. if you need someone to clear a clog, this is the place to call. We had a partially clogged basement drain line that was causing the washing machine to overflow. Bugsy's was recommended by so many on the Westfield FB page that I decided to give him a call. He arrived amazingly quickly and diagnosed the problem in minutes. He did a great job clearing the line and did not leave without filling and draining the washing machine to be sure that the drain was clear. Ted is extremely nice and clearly knows what he is doing. If there was a way to give more than 5 stars, Bugsy's Rooter would get more. We had a small flood which I thought was the washing machine turn into a bigger flood. I called our plumber who was on a big job not close and told me to call Bugsy Rooter. He said he would be good and reasonable and was right on both counts. We were fortunate that Ted (Bugsy) was in the area; he came over quickly and without going into much detail and fixed it before it became a huge problem bag did major damage. He diagnosed the real problem pretty quickly and it was way more than the washing machine. I think the price was reasonable given how hard he worked and the skill level involved. He worked efficiently and took time to minimize the damage to our basement and cleared the clog quickly. Later, we thought we had an issue overnight but it turned out to be nothing. In any event, we called him and he came back the next morning to double check but we were ok. And, he called a few days later just to make sure we were good. How often does that happen ? Throw in the fact that he keeps you informed about what he's doing and that he's a really nice guy, if you need someone to clear a clog, this is the company to call. I had a serious clog in my downstairs bathroom toilet which began on Sunday morning of Memorial Day weekend. I tried plunging, clog removers, and even my neighbor to see if he had a snake (not the reptile but the tool). He didn't but he suggested I call Bugsy. I called Bugsy on Monday afternoon and he called back minutes later. He explained he was closed for the holiday but he would be out in the a.m. Bugsy showed up 15 minutes early for the appointment. He was a complete gentleman who cared about the problem I was having. He's one of the nicest people you'll meet. He didn't try to sell me anything but the service he was about to perform. He ran a couple of tests before he did anything. Needless to say, within a couple of minutes, my toilet was working at maximum capacity again. Bugsy is the best at his craft. We called Bugsy on a Sunday evening as our sewer main became backed up. Bugsy was booked for Monday, but would try to make every effort to come as we could not run the water in the house and it was an emergency situation. He called Monday late morning and was able to fit us in. Bugsy successfully cleaned out the main sewer line. He came back as promised the following day to install a specially sized sewer clean out cap which was not readily available. As a first time home owner, I started panicking when I realized that water was starting to flood my basement anytime that any of the three bathrooms in the home was used. Typically fearful of doing business with any companies that require manual labor due to their tendency to take advantage of people, I was extremely cautious when deciding who I should contact. I came across on Yelp and decided to give him a call due to previously written reviews that praised his work.... After hearing my situation, he made me priority. He was out to my home in about an hour, scanned the basement for the issue and noticed that two routes could be taken to solve the problem -- one route costing significantly less than the other. Instead of hiding the fact that there was an option that could be done that would cost me less, he actually pointed it out right away and tried it first...and it worked! The main line was absolutely clogged with non-disposables, but everything flowed perfectly without causing any backup before he left. He also found some questionable plumbing work from those who'd worked on the home before we purchased it.. The issue was noticeable once he pointed it out and I don't know how my previous inspector missed it, but Bugsy fixed that issue as well. Long story short, Bugsy is absolutely AMAZING. Professional, down to earth guy that clearly places himself in YOUR shoes when trying to fix your home. Bugsy came to our rescue the day after Christmas last year when the basement of our newly renovated house that we just purchased began getting soaked with water from an unknown source.
