Despite not receiving a specific time, given his previous work at my home, I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and hoped for a prompt arrival. However, waiting for 7 hours without any updates was frustrating. It is crucial that when committing to a time, an exact time is provided, especially for emergency calls. While I have no complaints about Michael's work quality and pricing, the significant delay and lack of communication were unacceptable. After finally receiving a message stating he would arrive at 10:30 pm that evening or 4:30 pm the following day, I have decided to sever all ties with Michael and will not be recommending his services to others. Fabio Dasilva showed up and was very informative and was able to pinpoint the issue. He also was realistic and told us that the heater was way past its life expectancy and we should think about a replacement. Did not force a sale or anything but did give us a quote for a replacement. We lost the heat in our home during the recent cold snap. They sent a couple of people to check it…read moreout and determine what needed to be done. We needed a new boiler and based on AI, their quote seemed to be in the right ball-park. We decided to go check them out further. After they examined our system in more detail, we were givren a quote of $16k, which seemed in line according to AI. When they came to fix the unit, they they determined that a whole new system would be far more efficient and easier to maintain. What a pleasant surprise to end up with a more efficient and easier to operate furnace. And, here's the kicker... The final price was 25% lower than the original quote. The only negative I can think of is that I have to go make another trip to my bank to deposit the money I didn't need to use on the purchase of my new system. If there was a way to give them more than five stars, I would! (Anyway, here are a few more stars for Stafford Plumbing and Heating... ***)

They came out to snake our drain and sent their least experienced person. This individual did not…read morespeak a word of English, which isn't a huge deal given translation apps are available, but it makes communication stressful. He barely tried to snake the drain and said it wouldn't work. He called his supervisor who said he needed a chain snake. The next evening he returned with the chain snake and it proceeded to fall apart IN the drain. He claimed that his colleague didn't put all of the parts in the box correctly so he'd have to come back again for a third time. He came back with his supervisor and they couldn't even get past the trap! They claim they used a camera and they saw a corroded pipe that needed rerouting. I called another plumber who came and cleared the clog in two minutes. They may be a bit less expensive but they are inexperienced and a total waste of time and money!!
