We have used them twice now, once last year and once again this year- those ants are relentless. Great customer service!! Bob came to my door (the owner does all the first service, to get to know his customers), on time after his office called to announce that he would be arriving in about 20 minutes. I was impressed even before Bob arrived. Jennifer was very helpful and explained the charges, one year contract, and what to expect moving forward. I signed up for the $85 bimonthly service. I had been in contract with another company, but they never showed up when they said they would, and told me something different when they arrived at my door. My time felt very invaluable with them and finally, after wasting over an hour after waking up early, only to find out that the technician had called in sick (but nobody called me), for the third time, I cancelled my contract and got a refund. This company confirmed the appointment. Called when they were on the way, within the service window stated. Complete opposite experience. Bob took out all the cobwebs. He even did it in the front and back yards. Then he sprayed outside. When he sprayed inside, he was very quick while I waited outside. Can't be home for 2 hours after. I've only had my first service but I'm super happy so far and I expect nothing but good things, and no spiders, going forward. Highly recommend their services. read more

I've used their services throughout the last 10 years as I've moved around quite a bit as well as referred them to many of my friends and family. Bob takes care of everything you need to have peace of mind against pests. He and his wife are extremely personable. In my first home located in Concord, we had black widow spiders scattered throughout the property. He jokingly said they make great pets and proceeded to geek out about different arachnids while removing them. After his organic-safe-for-kids-and-pets treatment, we didn't see anymore pests around. He saw issues that needed to be addressed to avoid other invasive pests and he took care of that preventative treatment with no added fees. I believe this is called extrusion? My parents home had a bat infestation/invasion and he safely sealed all entry points back into their home after scaring the bats off, again with no extras fees. The bats have not returned. That's pretty epic. I've moved to different areas throughout the bay and had friends and family with a wide range of pest issues. I'm happy to report he's been able to take care of the different issues from wolf spiders, garden spiders, earwigs to rats and bats. I also really appreciate that you don't have to leave your home during the interior spraying. Not sure what else I can say, I'm very pleased with the lack of pests. I could just kick myself for not doing this sooner. I have fought with ants each summer ever since I moved to this house 10 years ago. Someone finally talked my into using an exterminator, and the results are miraculous! Called on a Wed morning and left a voicemail. Jeanette returned my call within an hour and apologized for missing my call and that she didn't have an appointment available until Monday.(neither apology was necessary in my eyes) On Monday, Ken showed up a few minutes early, to a look and told me what he was going to do. He sprayed around my foundation, around the fence line, around the garbage can area, inside the sun room where there was an ant super highway. He also left 3 ant baits in the kitchen in case any snuck through. I don't know if the baits when work because there are NO ANTS! None. To say I am pleased is an understatement! The price was good, too, not much more than I spent each summer at the hardware store for baits that didn't fully work. First ant I see next summer, I'm calling Bugs Be Gone! read more

I want to start by saying that when Bugs Be Gone serviced our home regularly, we didn't have any issues with pests. They did a great job! However, we decided recently to move on to a different pest control service. We found Bugs Be Gone to be unreliable and miscommunicated quite a bit. When I first called to set up service, I was told they would come out every other month, call 24 hours in advance to schedule, and spray both the interior and exterior of the home. But time and time again they would come out with no warning and it either wasn't a good time to let them inside or I wasn't even home. It wasn't until I called to complain about the lack of advance phone calls that they told me they don't need to call in advance because they only spray the exterior (not what I was told at first). And that spraying only the exterior should still prevent pests from getting inside (it did, thankfully). So from that time forward, they came when they came and I didn't worry about scheduling in advance. If I wasn't home, they would just leave the bill in my mailbox. Cool! Worked well. Until they stopped coming altogether. I signed up with a 2 year service agreement. Apparently when that ends, they just stop servicing your home. No phone call, no request to continue service, nothing. Our last service was in May and it wasn't until October that I realized they hadn't come in a while. They missed both July and September without any warning or communication with me. When I called, they explained that it was because my 2 year agreement ended in May. I get that, but wouldn't you WANT my business? Wouldn't you WANT to contact me and see if I'd like to continue service? I was a month away from having a baby when I signed up with them the first time and it's been a whirlwind ever since. I didn't even think about the end date of our agreement because usually they either just continue from there or contact you when it ends. Not Bugs Be Gone. I just got tired of the miscommunication and mixed messages depending on who I talked to that day. So we've moved on. read more

No one I know including myself wants unwanted guests especially the kind with more legs than me. Well I had the unfortunate pleasure of needing pest control. I found these guys using a yelp search. From the initial call, the customer service was great (Hey Jen). Bob and and (I'm sorry I forgot his partner's name) came to my home and got started right away. Very professional and friendly as well. Bob also did a follow up visit to make sure everything was ok. We had some insects due to a water leak under our floor due to the harsh rain. They did not address the specific insect but only did routine spray. In over a month of follow up service they did not terminate this one insect around one wall of the building. The spray guy would come and simply ask me where is it? You would think he was looking for a lion to catch! I called the owner on the phone for the fourth time the day things were completely out of order in this room. He started using F.. words like a mad man to me being his long term customer, because I told him I had to use another over the counter spray today due to unbearable insects condition. You figure he did not solve the easy problem which a store supplied spray did. Awful personality and awful service!!! I do not recommend them in any cases. read more

Yep 5 stars. They come out when they say they will including a reminder call for the appointment. I had requests to be careful around the house because the PRIOR pest control company was not so careful including leaving the gate open for the dogs to get out. He sweeps the spider webs off the house as well as spray for bugs. They will come back and redo the service if the ants return, a major plus in my opinion. They come in, do the task nearly invisible with no drama. Additionally and unexpectedly these folks make good conversation and do check to be sure all is well with the service provided. read more

We recently installed brand new carpets in our home and their technician failed to remove his shoes or wear booties and walked around and soiled our brand new carpets. What kind of company comes into people's homes and brings in their dirty shoes and disrespects their customers home. I'm beyond disgusted and angry at this unprofessional company. Bugs Be Gone is amazing! We recently moved to Pleasanton, CA from New Mexico and upon arriving into our new home we found that it was full of spiders. Now, I'm all for keeping a few around to catch the pesky flies but when they're in my kids blankets I draw the line. I called around and couldn't find anybody local that would either a) answer the phone or b) not charge an arm and a leg! FINALLY, I found Jen. Talk about customer service! She is so kind and polite, she took the time to talk me through the service and eased my mind that the chemicals used wouldn't hurt my babies or my fur babies. I chose the bi-monthly option, and every 2 months Jen gives us a call to see when we can get someone out and she's incredibly understanding when you can't make an appointment for the scheduled 2 months and need to pull it out a week or two. As for the service itself, it's fantastic. They spray inside and outside, get rid of any nests you may have, spray your garage and always de-web your exterior. If you need something else doing that isn't on the sheet just ask and they will get to it. I have to say though, I feel like Robert is more thorough and is friendlier towards my children and my animals than anybody else who has come to spray. It's as if he exudes kindness. I am so thankful for Jen at bugs be gone! She went out of her way to help my husband and I when we got cockroaches. When we found the first cockroach we weren't sure what it was so I called bugs be gone based on their great yelp reviews. Jen was so nice and let me email her a picture of the dead bug so we could figure out if we had roaches. They got right back to me and unfortunately it was a roach. I freaked out, how did we get roaches?? But Jen assured me that even clean people get them and explained everything about cockroaches to me. She answered my millions of questions ( I had a lot of questions!) We have a baby and I was nervous about spraying. But she talked me through it and made us feel so comfortable with the whole process. And it is a process! I was stressed out having to box all of our stuff up and deep clean our house. Jen made this stressful situation so much easier. On the day of the spray the man who showed up was so nice and professional. He was right on time and he explained more about the roaches to us and what kind they were. We felt very comfortable leaving him in our house to spray while we left for a couple of hours. If you'd driven past our house, you might have thought we were preparing for Halloween. There were so many spiderwebs covering the front, and they all had trapped flies and other spider-meals. It was gross. I hated coming home from work to see that. We also had what seemed like more than our fair share of silverfish. Now we are spider, webs, and silverfish free thanks to Ken, who arrived on time and did such a thorough job de-webbing. These are the folks I wanted--helpful and investigative. Bob taught us a lot after carefully examining my "bug collection" (five delightful pages of bugs and bug detritus.) Bob uses a magnifier and also carries a microscope in the truck. Bob knows bugs. He is also pleasant and helpful. We were able to figure out next steps. Also, Jen was nice on the phone and managed to fit us in a busy week. Price for visit was reasonable.
