Honestly, I'm very skeptical about buffets and the quality of food, but this is the first buffet I thoroughly enjoy and all the variety of foods they have to offer. This place is a bit far from central Houston and central north Houston, but it's such a great gem! It gets quite busy but they have a number system where you walk in, check in and get a number, and then you get called. It gets pretty busy but the line goes by fast. Parking is also a bit of a hassle as the lot is very small for the amount of people which is a downside. The Chinese food they have is so so, but the seafood is where it's at. Their crab legs are always so fresh and sweet, and rarely salty. We also love their crawfish as it's full of flavor, fresh, and always piping hot. Their sushi selection is decent and also pretty good quality for buffet sushi. The seafood reminds me of Las Vegas buffet quality. Dessert selection is ok. I just go for the ice cream and some fruit and that's pretty much it. Inside it does get pretty hectic and everything is fast paced, but that's good if you want to eat the most you can in such little time! The servers are always attentive and take away empty plates, refill drinks, and are happy to assist with anything you need. All in all, this is a great bang for your buck if you want a good variety of food with amazingly fresh seafood.

My oh my, I think I have found my favorite Chinese buffet in the Houston area! My expectations are usually low when it comes to Chinese buffets, but I had heard good things about this place, and after learning that they have snow crab legs, I knew I had to visit! We arrived for dinner on a Sunday evening and were lucky enough to get a spot in the small parking lot. I found it interesting that they offer valet, but I guess due to the size of the small shopping complex, it makes sense that vehicle were being parked in the grass. My primary target of the visit was the seafood! On the top of that list was the snow crabs, crawfish, and sashimi! They also carry fresh raw oysters and boiled shrimp, but I did not try those items. The snow crab legs were ransacked frequently but also refilled frequently, which was nice. The legs weren't dry or overly salted, and a liquid butter dispenser was nearby! It was the same with the crawfish... which tasted very fresh and not frozen. They were also seasoned very well and succulent, not the grey overcooked dried out crawfish you usually find at buffets. The fried whole shrimp was cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. The mixed sashimi was kinda crammed into one small bowl, but the pieces displayed are nice and fresh. I saw that they offered salmon belly nigiri! As for the cooked prepared American Chinese meats, they were actually good! At most Chinese buffets, these dishes are very one note and bland, but here they had a lot of flavor and were cooked well! The most surpassing was the hibachi grill which usually is tasteless and meh at most places. Here it was shockingly delicious! The only real let down was the dessert, which is the standard at a Chinese buffet. The prepackaged mousse cups were not good. The mediocre cheesecake was still frozen in the middle, and the fruit was less than ideal. I didn't even bother trying the ice cream, as it's the cheap kind in the plastic cups. No thank you! The jello wasn't that bad and came in unique flavors. The slushies were actually kinda tasty! So go ahead and visit you're in the area and want to be a total glutton.

Best buffet I been to in Texas! Vegas still in the league but this buffet is the best in Texas. Everything I had was seasoned and prepared very well. Super clean, polite service and very affordable. $20 per adult is cheap with full snow crabs, blue crabs, large shrimp, American food, sushi bar, soup bar, dessert bar and so on..... The table curves like three times. lol it just keeps going. The soft drinks are Pepsi products. I'm not a fan but I'm ok with Dr.pepper. The decorations are mixed with Christmas and Chinese new year. Very lit up and kinda gives Tokyo drive vibes. Very pretty and very spacious.

What do you get when you cross a hip hop new buffet place with a tinsy tiny parking lot? Welcome to Buffetopia. I found it hilarious how each establishment vigorously defends their lot spaces. The end tenant Long John Silvers has the most dedicated spaces, and put up hand written signs even to warn would be trespassers, yet still there were no customers in their big empty lot. There is a valet at Buffetopia but hey we are Asian. It was packed around 1 pm on a Sunday when we got there and even more packed around 2:40 pm when we left with the line noticeably out the door. Our waitress was nice and Japanese. The owners are Chinese she said. And the customers were a motley crew of Hispanic )in the clear majority), African Americans (a strong representation), Caucasian (not a lot but more than Asians), and a smidgen of Asians. So we came for the Raw Oysters and sashimi. Every thing else was just filler to us. I made the mistake of trying a few items from the hot buffet line while I waited for them to refill the raw oyster bar and sashimi bowl and it really filled me up. Rookie error. It won't happen again. The main temptation is the deep fried frog legs too, which tasted like chicken. They also got a Hibachi but hey be my guest to that if you're ready to fill up quickly. Deserts were meh. $2 discount if you're over 65 and children and kids get discounts. My child had to pay full price but only had 1 plate. So I felt compelled to make up the money Id be losing on her. I think at the end of the day I broke even. When I used the restroom I saw a moth on the wall. The same kind my dad's store had when it got infested from a contaminated shipment of rice. The worms hatch into these MF's? and it's so hard to get rid of them. Just saying from experience. There's a Totoro Mochi Donut store in this strip center. Alas I was too full to try it.

Hello, we'll start by saying that the buffet line was not organized because they had plates situated everywhere so people were starting the line in the middle of nowhere and will jump in front of you. It was so unorganized. I removed the second star because I was seated near a restroom and didn't realize so many people were gonna be going in and out of that door and it made me lose my appetite a little bit. What else? The third star was removed because the food did not taste that delicious. It was like OK and it made me desire more. Plus, I've had better at the buffets in Katy Texas. I went on and removed the fourth star because I felt like the place wasn't as clean as I wanted it to be, my table wasn't as clean. The place didn't smell that fresh to me. I really was hoping to love this place so I can go back a second time, but I can't get over the egg rolls, not tasting as good and the cheese wontons and just other stuff, it just was not that good to me. Anyway, someone may like it, but I'm used to better so this is based off my decision. Thanks for reading my review.!

Good Buffet with crab legs for decent price. I came in Saturday evening at 6pm and did not have to wait to be seated. The restaurant is clean and decor nicely. They got quite fresh seafood including snow crab leg, oysters, sushi, sashimi. Other bar has crab, rib, fried items and other rice/noodle/veggie similar to normal Chinese buffet. Dessert was so so. I did not try all food they have. Some food does not have labels.

Finally an all you can eat buffet in Humble area. Price range is awesome and they have a large varieties of options. Lots of seafood options too. For $20 that's great. The restaurant is huge but parking is so limited. That's the only down side is the parking. They have valet parking but not too many spots neither. Food and services are good.

Buffetopia is the mother of all recent buffets. We went on a busy Sunday and I was excited to try them. They do not take reservations but it was super easy to put our party of 10 on the list. We were seated in about 20 minutes, which was amazing for a buffet on a Sunday. Everything is automated and they call your number over the intercom. The place was crowded but you could not tell because it is huge! They have many, many stations with Chinese food, seafood, full sushi section, hot pot and hibachi. There is truly something for everyone. My fave foods were the potstickers and the sesame chicken with fried rice. My son did hibachi and they have so many options. They had plenty of snow crab and cold boiled shrimp but at times they ran low because so many were eating it. I enjoyed the fresh fruit too. The only bad thing is the parking lot is tiny. They solved this problem by offering valet parking, which is complimentary. We didn't wait long at all but did see some people get towed because they parked in the wrong spots. Please use the valet and tip them, they work hard and no worries about losing your car. You can text them to have your car ready and also tip through the app.

I love having people visit me, but sometimes when it comes to where to eat, I get a little nervous because I know everyone else has their own preferences! So I'm glad I found this buffet spot that leans more into Asian cuisine! My family truly enjoyed the ambiance, the cleanliness, and the array of different foods to try. A lot of the others eating there went especially crazy over the crawfish, but I'm not really a crawfish gal. I was satisfied with everything else though. Definitely worth checking out when you're in north Houston!

Large variety of food -yes. Pretty and good service for a buffet -yes. Would I return- no. Hear me out. I drove 45 mins to get here in the rain. I waited 35 mins for a table behind 30+ other ppl but I will say they move fast. I had to fight for food because so many people were there the food disappeared pretty quickly. The good thing is it gets refilled pretty quickly too. The taste was as good as any other Chinese buffet. I loved all the neon signs and how pretty the restaurant is, but not enough to drive and wait to fight for food again.

I have been waiting for Buffetopia to open and it was definitely worth the wait. Quite a few families walked out seeing a busy restaurant, but I can reassure you the queue system was really helpful managing customer flow. The restaurant layout is also very large and can accommodate anyone that walks through their door. The food was perfectly seasoned and I found myself circling back for Shumai, Nigiris, Seafood Boil, Salt Pepper Crabs, Garlic Potato, and Beef Puff Pastry. I was really eager to try the Hot Pot station but with only one broth option available, it didn't feel like a true Hot Pot experience. I would love to see a variation of broths being offered in the future. The staff was attentive, fulfilling drinks and removing dirty plates without being overbearing. All you can eat for $20 might seem steep, but prices for buffets has steadily increased over the years. The freshness of the ingredients and the inviting atmosphere has earned Buffetopia its spot in Humble.

Very nice buffet! Loved all the seafood from raw oysters and shrimp to a selection of crab , great sushi and sashimi plus a hibachi cook on the buffet line ! Great selection of Asian style foods! The deco is smart and the restaurant is roomy! I tried to try one of everything, but I could not, just too many choices ! I recommend it highly! read more

The Buffetopia was ok. You get plenty of options, but nothing stood out. Most of the dishes leaned heavy on fried items, and the taste stayed the same across the board. It works if you want a quick meal with variety, but it doesn't leave much of an impression. read more

The ambiance and physical space were nice, expected of a relatively newly opened restaurant. The food was plentiful with a lot of Asian varieties: made to order stir fry/ramen, sushi, seafood, and more. I found the sushi quite good for an all you can eat buffet, fresh and tasty. There were also a bunch of Chinese foods, soup, har gaw, custard buns, fried rice, broccoli beef, to name a few. The waitstaff came by pretty often to service the used plates and refill drinks. I would definitely go there again! read more

This is Amazing! The food is seasoned well and restored often so you are getting fresh food. The service plus drinks was about $27 total but for all you can eat seafood and sides it was worth it . Now let's get into the decor , it is beautiful and luxurious to be a buffet. Now just be aware of people now saying excuse me when getting food. Besides that I love my experience so much I'm on the way again, right now ! read more

Let me start by saying this buffet is not like any other. Heads up you will have to wait for a bit, but well worth it! The staff is very quick on their feet and ready to quickly get people in and out the door to enjoy the buffet experience. The restaurant decor looks like you are kinda like in a video game with all the bright colors. I love they had plenty of bench seating as well to accommodate more customers. Now the FOOD!! They have a great variety of food for all family members! It is not just your typical buffet food but more! They also have a Hibachi and Hotpot station too! They even have a shrimp boil as one of the buffet selection so you don't even have to go to a seafood joint. I also tried the Frog legs and they were delish do not let the name scare you. Do not forget to try the dessert and slush machine!! I would recommend to my buffet lovers and anyone that wants a variety for lunch or dinner! Bring your taste buds read more

First of all, great deal!! Parking sucks tho. Mindful for coming, it's a really small parking lot where the old JoAnnes is on 1960, traffic in and out there can be hectic. Fresh oysters, good crab legs, fresh sushi, salt and pepper shrimp is always on point. My kids love this place due to many different options he can choose from since both of my kids are picky eaters. The staff here is very friendly and on point. Refill your glass during halfway and picking up your empty plates as soon as you done. Kudos to the team! Keep up the hard work! Will be coming back. Everyone was nice. Inside was nice and updated. They had a wide variety of food and seafood options. The sushi was really good! There were some great options that tasted really good, but a lot of it was just typical buffet food. I didn't get a chance to try the hibachi or hot pot, so I can't speak on those. The rest was just typical buffet things I can't rave about. I wouldn't mind going back, but there's definitely stuff I probably would steer clear of just because of my first impression of it. Prices weren't bad. read more

The food is pretty good nothing to go raving about. The restaurant is surprisingly clean considering it's a buffet and you know little children do not mix well with a buffet. The service could do way better as my boyfriend and I never got a refill and waited 10 mins for our check. Mind you our waiter walked pass us multiple times and we even asked. Won't say we wouldn't come back but definitely wouldn't make this a first choice. read more

I was in Houston for work and stopped here before my flight home in the afternoon. I'd eat here weekly if I lived in the area. Better than the last few buffets I went to in Las Vegas. I got crawfish, crab, sushi, shrimp, a little Chinese food and desserts. All good to great. Service was good and the place was clean and nice. Will make sure to eat here when I have to return to Houston. $17 for this meal is a steal. read more

Compared to other buffet places in the area, this one has a wider selection of food. Hibachi, sushi, and seafood viands are all available. The food looks freshly cooked and tastes good. The dining area is spacious, with plenty of seating, which means minimal waiting time. The place is also beautifully decorated, creating a welcoming ambiance. read more

Was excited to try a new buffet. Firstly, the host didn't greet us. She seemed like she hated her job. All the food was mid and soft like it was sitting out regardless that the resturaunt was busy. Lots of kids running around unattended. Ate 1 plate and checked out. Very disappointed. Will stick with the other buffet down the street. Less expensive, less crowded and more lowkey. Less options but the quality and attitude of employees is better. read more

The line was long to get a table but it moved really fast. Lots of food variety and options . They even have hibachi and hotpot services. The ambiance is nice and lots of tables for everyone to sit in. Overall enjoyed it and will definitely be coming back soon. So worth the price!! read more

Food was okay. had a really good selection of sea food but was a typical chinese buffet. i had a piece of raw chicken which i noticed at the last minute so who knows if i had more that that piece. the service wasn't the best. me and my boyfriend got up to get our second plate not even 2 minutes later we came back our table was empty, not even the cups with our waters were there. which is understandable but the waiter saw us getting another plate of food. when we got to the table he passed by and saw us and didn't offer to bring back our waters so we asked for them back and with that he also brought the check. which i found rude since i was still in the middle of eating. i recommend if you like sea food since they have a wide variety but me personally i di t think i would come back. read more

We were nervous when we got there because there was such a long line, I think there were 20+ tables before us, but we were seated within 15 minutes. The food was consistently restocked, and it was all easy to access. My husband and my son loved almost everything they tried. I'm not super into seafood, but the sushi and the Chinese food was wonderful! read more

Food was cool. Waiters are a little over the top. The lady was more focused on giving me the check than refilling my drink. Then as I took my check to the cash register she chased me down to ask if I was going to pay. All buffets aren't the same. The ones I'm used to you take your checks to the cashier. So I went back to the table and paid. Only for her to go right back to the same cash register I was heading to. I don't like being followed or made felt like you money hungry. They need to do better with their service. Make sure the customers have drinks before bringing them a check. And verbalize your payment process to avoid discrepancies. Never have I ran out on a tab. But I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you don't mind being watched and rushed. Food was kinda cold too. Oysters were nasty. The table was dirty when I got seated. Hostess grabbed a napkin n just wiped the crumbs off. It's the small details to me that make an experience. This wasn't it for me. Try at your own risk. read more

My brother and I stopped in for carryout breakfast tacos on a Sunday morning. Alas, they didn't have brisket breakfast tacos, but had some good alternatives. Their flour tortilla is the choice here, and I believe it is Sonoran style: good enough to just eat by itself. My absolute favorite was the barbacoa ($3.25), very tender stewed beef with added onion and cilantro...not meant to be a breakfast taco I think. The other 3 tacos I tried did have egg. The potato & egg ($3.25) had big chunks of potato and plenty of egg: very filling not particularly tasty. The chorizo and egg ($3.25) was was prepared together, with the small chorizo pieces mixed in with the egg. And the fajita and egg ($4.79) used two slices of skirt steak flavored with fajita flavoring...for my preference, works better in skillet fajitas than in a breakfast taco. They also have menudo on the weekends, and both their corn and flour tortillas are homemade. As mentioned before, the flour tortillas are really good, and the barbacoa is definitely worth a visit.

Between the family, we tried the barbacoa, chicharron, chicken fajita, and a fajita quesadilla. The fresh homemade tortillas really make a difference in every bite. I'd read reviews mentioning they were huge, but honestly, I didn't find them particularly oversized. Not a complaint at all, just not what I expected going in! My daughter loved her quesadilla and especially the cheese pull, which passed her personal "cheese test" with flying colors. The chicharron in salsa verde was a standout for me, perfectly seasoned, with no need for extra salt or salsa. Personally, I'd ask for the onion to be chopped just a bit smaller but that really is the only "complaint" I have. I also ordered the charro beans based on earlier reviews, and they were every bit as flavorful as promised. I'm already looking forward to trying their fresh-squeezed orange juice on our next visit. The staff was wonderfully welcoming from start to finish, and my husband, who went in with low expectations, was blown away by how delicious everything was. We're both so glad we gave this place a try. If you're looking for comforting, well-seasoned food in a warm, inviting setting, Nando's Tacos is absolutely worth the visit.

This Buffett offered a wide variety of dishes. I started with the hibachi, which I enjoyed. However, I wished it had more optional seasoning or sauces to customize the dish. The sushi was decent and they did have a good variety. The crab legs were a bit disappointing, but the shrimp and oysters were tasty. Despite the extremely busy atmosphere, which caused a 30-minute wait before seating, the staff was very attentive. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at this Buffett.
