I heard the hype around this restaurant on Tik Tok because it just recently opened & I wanted to give it a try. We went on Friday afternoon & the wait time took about 20 mins but I can't imagine it on a weekend so plan accordingly. Buffet 5/5: The selection of this place is massive bigger than most buffets I've been too but the thing that stole the show here was the seafood, everything was fresh & very tasty. My favorite thing overall were the Salt & Pepper frog legs they were breaded & seasoned to perfection. The hot pot was an interesting added feature to this buffet & for what it was, it was very good. I've been here twice now, and I've loved it every time. Buffetopia is easily one of the best buffet values around. At $23.99 per person is hard to beat anywhere, especially for the quality and variety they offer. The selection is great, and the food is terrific. All of the seafood, including crab legs, oysters, crawfish, and sushi, tastes fresh. They also have a ramen bar, which is a must for me every visit and one of my favorite parts of the experience. So I've already been here like 2 to 3 times and let me start off by saying that every experience was different. I love the inside. It's so bright and colorful and makes you want to eat. Most of the food is high and fresh. The hibachi is definitely good. The hot pie is definitely good. They do have fresh sushi and I haven't tried the oysters cause I'm definitely afraid of oysters from a buffet, but they have those supposedly the crawfish or kinda nice but the fried crab is definitely definitely good. I definitely like the price every time I went I've had good servers. They were definitely checked in or if I needed some plastic silverware they definitely had no problem you know doing it in. Buffetopia is less of a restaurant and more of a culinary escape room. The food actually tasted good, but it was served at that mysterious temperature somewhere between "lukewarm" and "microwaved yesterday." The real highlight of my visit? Asking for ketchup. I asked three different staff members, and every single one of them wordlessly pointed... all in the same direction. It was like a silent flash mob of synchronized pointing. Finally, the fourth employee must've decided I'd earned my stripes, because they personally escorted me to the ketchup. And there it was, hiding in plain sight--sitting among the salad dressings in a little bowl, beneath a giant sign that simply said Sauces. Because of course, nothing screams salad dressing bar like ketchup. In short: the food is okay, the service is... interpretive, and the condiments are on a scavenger hunt. Would I return? I am so sad I did not like it and will not be returning Parking is terrible. It took a long time to find a spot. We were seated right away because it was just a party of 2. As we walked to our seats, I noticed the floor was sticky. I shrugged it off thinking maybe a child spilled a drink right before we got there. We were seated in a booth and boy was it snug! I've never been to a buffet where the seats are snug I did my walk through and wasn't impressed with the selection. The hype on the internet did not match reality. There's a sign under the name that states hibachi grill & hotpot. In the US, hibachi is often associated with the theatrical, table-side cooking - don't expect to get that here. Reality is a grilled food. They will give you a pager when your food is ready. Hold your excitement for hotpot too. You won't be cooking your food. You pick your ingredients and someone will hand you a bowl of soup when it's ready. Other things that turned me off: the wasabi looked rough, there was a fly in the sushi area & a man scooped soup into his bowl and spilled it back into the soup container because he only wanted the meat & not a single employee stopped him. There's a sauce station that looks great but doesn't have anything I need besides chili oil. Now for the taste. They are definitely rationing in the seasoning department. I was with someone who never complains & the face he made when he tasted his food ... I should've taken a pic. I wasn't ready for it because he never complains about food. If you're not too picky about taste & variety - by all means. The entire place is decorated pretty cute. The staff moved fast. As for me and my family & friends - we will not be returning. read more

Brand new buffet in Humble that is the new buzz in town so I decided to try it out with my sister. The buffet is huge and the decor is super trendy and cute, really fun vibe inside. The buffet has plenty for everyone to enjoy, from your Chinese American favorites to sushi, hot pot, hibachi, and even a slushy area! The food was honestly a miss for me because most of it was not fresh nor warm. I sampled the egg rolls, crab rangoon, chicken skewers, beef and chicken with broccoli, hot pot, etc. It was very crowded but the service was great and our waitress was very attentive to our table. I just wish the food were fresh (or at least hot) so I could give a more accurate review on the taste and quality. I'd have to say there is another buffet in Humble I enjoy a lot more. Tried this new buffet on a whim and I really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. I loved the decoration and the food stations were kept clean and debris free. It has a nice open concept where the buffet is spread out giving plenty of walking room to check out the offerings without standing on top of the next person. I was solo on this trip but after speaking with the cashier, I'm bringing my family back on a Sunday as they offer crab legs. Hopefully they aren't too little as for me those are just too much work for too little reward. I was there for lunch and my bill was $21 w/ my tea. I was expecting about $16 but with the current economy; I can see how that is still fair. It make me wonder the dinner price for Sunday. I give this spot an 8/10 only because I need to come back. To wrap up my review: The food is NOT HOT! I came here because of the great reviews but it was a miss for me. You can also read some other reviews mentioning the food is NOT hot and/or NOT fresh. While we loved the number of options and the fact that they do have a hot pot/hibachi station, we are not happy with the temperature of most of their food. I'm not sure what the temperature they must keep the food but we've gone to other Chinese buffets and the food stays hot--Regardless of how long it's been sitting there! Also, the flavor for example the lo mein and sesame chicken just seems off? Like something was missing. Egg rolls were good. We also have a pet peeve when restaurants cut the noodles (for lo mein and for example, ramen) We just don't see the need to cut! We appreciate the long noodles Time was 3:45 when we arrived (before lunch ended) and it was VERY busy. I did like the fact that they had snow crab with potato and corn Another con -The pizza slices stacked on top of each other and that didn't look appealing to me. We drove 1 hour to try this place because of a tik tok video and instantly regretted it. The only good thing is that the line moved quickly. The buffet line doesn't have a beginning and end, there's plates everywhere. People constantly cut in front of you, or reach over because of the lack of organization. The food was not good at all! The breaded/fried shrimp felt gooey when chewed. The noodles tasted like cardboard covered in soy sauce. The crawfish were all a dark grey when opened, this is not good they're supposed to be white! One of the biggest buffets I'd ever seen. I started wig a wing, a rib, fried catfish and Mac n cheese. I was so underwhelmed. The catfish was crispy and tasty. That's where the party ended. The wing was average, as was the rib. The Mac was a tasteless, watery mess. I got green beans that had no flavor and undercooked. I like my green beans with a little crunch to it, but I almost needed a steak knife to cut into them. I also tried the wonton soup, which was bland. The wonton itself was huge and the texture was perfect; it just lacked flavor. I did enjoy the stuffed shrimp they offered. I've never been to an Asian restaurant that was afraid of seasoning. I was disappointed after seeing all the hype on their Ig. The desserts were actually good with a wide range of options, especially the ice cream cups. Overall, I thought the place was clean and inviting. The service friendly and efficient. The food left a lot to be desired. Saw this place on David Sriracha so I thought I'd give it a try. Overall the price is very cheap. $21 for a weekday buffet for dinner. A wide selection of Chinese, American, sushi, seafood, desserts. Drinks cost extra but they have a slushie machine that is part of the dessert section. There's sashimi which has salmon, i think its yellowtail, and also tuna. There is a mongolian bbq area where you pick raw food and they cook it for you. There's cocktail shrimp, raw oysters, mussels, fried shrimp, crawfish...a lot of crawfish. Didnt have the snow crab legs i was hoping for this time. One negative is I got really bad food poisoning and diarrhea like an hour after I left so i am pretty sure there was some meat that went bad. Probably the raw beef i grabbed for the mongolian bbq was sitting out too long, wouldve been 5 stars if they didnt give me food poisoning. I guess it's $20 and not $30 for a reason. read more

Once you get in you'll see why the wait time is so long because the buffet has a variety of food options to choose from not your typical Chinese Restaurant.
