She kept hitting my skin and I have multiple spots on my hands that are hurting badly. When she was just about done, the lady informed me that she had a bad encounter with a customer beforehand, in which I finally understood why she was being rough with me - but that's no excuse. My acrylic nails are also not filed correctly whatsoever. When you're paying $70 for acrylics that are just a solid color, you expect to have better care.

It seems that she is able to look at faces and know what will work best. I have never had a better wax at another salon! I started going to this salon after my roommate went and came back with gorgeous brows. The owners are very nice and cordial. The price is extremely reasonable and so I always try and leave a good tip. I decided to get acrylic nails here once and they looked good the first day but didn't last long (this could be due to my inexperience with artificial nails, sporty lifestyle, and so on). I didn't feel comfortable with nails (couldn't type or write or even button my pants!) so I removed them a few weeks later. They were cute while they lasted, though :D If you want beautiful brows at a great price, I highly recommend Nails 2000. The shop seems to be well-kept and the owners work quickly and waste no time.

But, since I refuse to pay over $50 for a mani/pedi, I tried Modern Nails out. Overall, the experience was OK, with the pedicure being better then the manicure. The manicure was very quick and she didn't do a good job filling my nails - the shape of some of them was somewhat crooked...whatever, I'm just being picky. The pedicure was better, I loved the minty scrub that she utilized and I left with super soft and clean toes and feet :-) The salon is messy and is COVERED in dust/powder/don't know what....I didn't really care about that as the tools that she used appeared clean, but that takes away from the experience and makes me wonder. The salon is also super busy, so appointments are required/encouraged. For the price, it's worth it, but I will continue looking....

If my nail technician didn't lose her dad and I didn't have to travel, I wouldn't be anywhere near this place. It's not clean and they are inconsiderate. But that is the cost you pay when you are desperate...
