Its fine. I did not eat here, only came with the fam for some bowling. This area has you by the balls (so to speak), so you can't really shop around. Its about 75/hr/lane for 5 people, and I'm pretty sure that the time starts when you pay, so you waste about 10 minutes just getting your shoes on and finding a bowling ball. The people were friendly enough, their shoes will never be stollen (uuuugggglllly, fluorescent green and pink), and fairly busy, which are all positives. There are a nice mix of experienced bowlers and newbs on the weekends, so it won't be too embarrassing if you blow. Do not try to go on a weekday anywhere near league night, they will unapologetically tell you that you are SOL. read more

Cool place to take your family and friends, the overall outside m/inside seems to look out dated and certainly could use a refresh. Prices seem reasonable and average. Staff were friendly which was great! Food & Drink: We ordered pizza, Little Caesar's would be considered gourmet compared to what we got... not sure what other food options there were however it was unimpressive. I called at 10am to ask about lane availability. Was told they had league going and a high school class coming at 11:40am, but that they would find a lane for us. Got there at 10:30am and was told they only had a lane that was good for 30 minutes. Was there with one three grandsons and wanted to bowl for a couple of hours. Terrible customer service. While visiting friends in NC, all the kids realllly wanted to go bowling so after some researching, we came across these lanes. We went on a Friday afternoon after grabbing some lunch. The place wasn't crowded at all. We had purchased some games on Groupon and had no issues redeeming them while we were there. We were given two lanes (one for the parents, one for the children) side-by-side. One lane had bumpers available, the other didn't. I'm not sure if one was broken, but obviously, us adults didn't need bumpers (well...maybe some of us did??) Needless to say, we had a blast. The music was good, the lanes and seating area were spotless. I recalled not smelling anything funky...that's always a plus! Additionally, the bathrooms were pretty clean and this is VERY important to me. I can't speak on the food since we just had lunch, but note to all- this is an alcohol-free establishment. read more

The lanes seemed okay. The LED wall that spans the entire front of all the pinsetters is a massive glare on the lanes, so it's difficult to line up your shot. Gameplay is pretty slow because of this as well as the pinsetters. Be aware that this place does not serve alcohol. The bowling prices were outrageous, but if I had to guess, they probably have to pay for the giant video wall somehow if they're not selling anything other than Pepsi. I don't mind kids, but I do mind parents not enforcing any sort of etiquette, so the family fun aspect is not really fun for anyone just trying to play as you'll be constantly scanning for a rogue kid running in front of you or a pile of teenagers standing at the ball return messing with the bumpers and standing in your approach the entire day. read more

This was a really fun outing with the grandkids. The lanes were quite nice, the people at the service desk were helpful, and we all were able to find a ball to call our own. This is a great place for a large group! The Saturday night rates are of great value. My only complaint was the wait time. We showed up at an awkward time where they were transitioning between their evening and night rates so had to wait good 40 mins before we could start bowling. So, if you decide to go on a Saturday night, either go before 9 with ample time for you to bowl or go past 9 PM giving yourself time to stay on a waitlist and start bowling. They close their lanes by 9.40 and open it again at 10 PM for night bowling. The bowling rental shoes were clean but they run large so, ask for a size smaller than what you typically wear. Food is your typical run-of-the-mill bowling alley affair. We were a group of 5 and shared the tater tots and onion rings and they were both pretty good. This is a great bowling alley! It's clean, the shoes are clean. I love that I don't have to tie them, lol. However, for this reason, I feel they run a little large so you may have to size down. The prices are great on Sunday evening! At this time, the bowling alley is not too packed. The staff are friendly. My only complaint was the bowling balls- there wasn't a huge variety as far as finger holes/spacing goes. If you get a light ball (6-9 lbs) the fingers holes are going to be small. If you get a heavy ball, they're going to be huge. Other bowling alleys I've visits try to have a variety. read more

I came to enjoy a night of bowling with my family. The whole time I felt bothered and claustrophobic by the staff. Marge was very loud and talked way to much, I just needed shoes. What a great night! After a tasty, casual dinner, a date and I decided to put our competitive edges to the test and square off in a few games of bowling. We were there on a Monday night and there were about five lanes being used. Needless to say, we could hear the music fine and really enjoy ourselves and our games without any distractions from neighboring lanes. I don't know what all to say, the arcade looked fun though we didn't have time to play, the price seemed fair ($27 for four games and two shoe rentals), and the equipment worked well, though the animations were humorously dated. There was a wide selection of bowling balls, the cashier was helpful in getting us the right size shoe, and again, we simply had a great time which is what a place like this is meant for. Basic bowling hall, but just right for the price. There are 32 lanes, a small arcade room and some fast food type options. It is clean, the shoes are velcro, which seems right for a lazy person's sport like bowling. Had bought a groupon including two games, but we decided to play only one game. 32 lanes - lots of room for bowling. Very clean shoes - not grossed out at all. The lane setup is nice - computer allows you to say if your bowler needs bumpers or not. No mechanical issues whatsoever for our game. Unfortunately the lane wasn't close to being level. The floor veered right about 6 ft in front of the pins. Little to no supervision of kids/teens - the 2 lanes next to us were full of people throwing the ball down the lane, running and shoving it from the floor, and just being bratty in general. No beer. The nicest place in the area for bowling. I went to the other facility on Buck Jones Rd once, but immediately came back to Buffaloe. It's clean, colorful, and relatively modern. It is family friendly and smoke free. Lots of balls to choose from, decent computer scoring system. Our small kids play with the bumpers up and the ramp to roll the ball down. Worst managed bowling alley ever; young teenagers who only know how to enforce a rule, no common sense. We came in at 12:15 with several small children only wanting to bowl one game. The alley was full, but soon was empty. We were never notified about a lane. We asked again at the desk and they said groups were coming in at 1, so no one could play. Just visited and had a great time. The lanes were clean, had lots of balls and it didn't have the signature smoky/sweaty scent that most alleys have. The arcade was a nice touch with a decent variety of games. We bowled about 3 games and would have enjoyed every one of them had it not been for the adjacent parties to both of our sides. One family would steal our balls and then give us dirty looks when we would try to take them back. They would throw the ball down the lane before the pin setter had risen up all the way. The other family had a complete disregard for personal space, standing on our side of the lane, even when they weren't bowling, and standing on our guideline. They would cross into our area to get snacks and crowded our side of the lane. Of course, this isn't the bowling alley's fault. I feel as though the rules and etiquette to proper bowling should be posted in plain view and perhaps a little more attention from the staff towards the family who was crowding the lane could have helped. Not a good experience here. Unruly kids on either lane next to us. I know it's open bowling, but c'mon. Parents not controlling their kids, letting them bowl down our alley and walking in front of you when you are trying to bowl. The staff at the front are just young girls that know nothing about customer service and just take it like, oh well. Why not put kids on one side or shuffle groups around if it's needed, so everyone can enjoy their time here. It seems too packed in like sardines here, but nevertheless you should be at least able to bowl your own game and have fun doing so. Then we quit within the first 3 frames of the last game and they needed to charge us for it even though it was wasted. We'll look for another bowling center, this can't be the only one. read more
