Honestly, I came here to watch the basketball game and the wrestling pay per view tonight. And that's rhetorical only nice thing I have to say. I'm still sitting here, there's been three bartenders, and not a single one has even had the balls to come. One of the managers who has walked by has poured me a beer twice and let's expand upon this... I got here and sat at the bar. The area wasn't even bussed. No worries. I give grace. Sat here for twenty minutes and a manically saw me and got me a beer. Finished it! And waited 22 minutes before the same manager saw me and brought me another beer in between drinks. I still have never been asked for food or even Priya menu. I am visiting from Texas and this place is an absolute joke. No level of customer service. No level of professionalism. D&B was super clean. Plenty of parking. Carlie (Bambi, inside joke) was fantastic!! Great personality. She was attentive, smiled the whole time, and gave food recommendations. We had a variety of food. Our group said the wings, chicken Alfredo, pretzel hot dogs, and Philly egg rolls were good. I do not recommend the chicken quesadilla, very bland. Just chicken & cheese. Not for kids!!!! Not safe!! First time visitor, I bought a couple tickets for my son and I. My son and I went and played a few games, some were broken, like the clown throw game. The trouble happened when we tried to play air hockey (my sons favorite) we waited for a couple to finish for a good while, as we went to take our turn there were two people who cut right in front. They were near another machine halfway through our waiting. When I tried to pay the man started to argue with me in front of my young boy and then started to get aggressive and to raise his voice. I walked away but then went to management. The first manager seemed empathetic and assured me of a refund but then went waited and spoke with Vaughn, explained the situation again to him. i again asked if we could get a refund because we barely started out and my son was visibly upset. He explained because I already started playing he couldn't offer me a refund. Maybe an icecream instead. He asked how he could get us to return, I explained to him there's no way I was coming back as this place didn't seem safe for kids, and he made clear to me I would not be getting a refund. It's hard to believe a place with games and kid rides would be full of grown adults. So I love Dave and Busters for the versatility. Being able to hang, play games and eat is so much fun. The menu is great and everything I've had has been tasty. On this recent visit the service started out great as I sat at the bar. When my friend arrived it went downhill. After we ordered food No one came back to ask us how the meal was outside of the manager who walked by. The bartenders never once asked if we were ok and/or if we needed anything else, no water no nothing. Instead one bartender was walking around having his own drink. There were also other guest that came to the bar and they were waiting forever. It was not a busy night I just think that they were preoccupied socializing. To my left, a wall of screens was vying for my attention: basketball, hockey, motocross, you name it. It was all things ESPN and the like. No world news or History channels here. The sportsapalooza programming is a perfect escape from watching nations in realignment. But to my right, the arcade opened up into a vast landscape of sights and sounds with humans alternately screeching in delight or grunting in frustration. I positioned myself for a full view of the Godzilla VR game which has it all: VR goggles, dual hand controls, and seats mounted on a moving platform to ensure a realistic experience of blasting virtual creatures into oblivion before game credits expire. Cost to play = 1 swipe. What does that even mean? Well, leave it to hubs to figure that out. For the Godzilla VR it was $3.20 per game. He calculated that Wicked Tuna was $1.62 to play. That's on a day that isn't a half price Wednesday. The prices for each game vary widely, as do the rewards. We saw someone win 40 tickets from Wicked Tuna which didn't seem at all epic but they were pleased as punch. We did enjoy lunch. We had pretzels, Mac and cheese, a Caesar salad, Brussels sprouts, and cauliflower bites. The Brussels sprouts were roasted with a delightful cheese topping and a tasty garlic aioli for dipping. I would definitely order these again. The cauliflower bites were roasted and also had a cheesy mix with a different sauce which was also tasty. Slightly elevated bar fare for sure. Finally, I ordered a cup of black coffee as the fam ventured out into the world of games. I was completely surprised by this delightful cup of medium roast Colombian coffee. It was hot, fresh, and rich. It was so bold that I thought I had ordered an Americano. Relatively smooth and no acidity. No burnt aftertaste. Wow. For a bar, this was truly an epic cup of coffee. I don't want to oversell it but it was a wonderful companion while watching humans conquer the gamescape. I will definitely order a cup of coffee the next time I am here. We had a great family outing here on a Friday night. Loved the variety of games. This place really is like Chuck E Cheese for grownups (minus the singing characters. LOL Food was surprisingly tasty. The best chicken caesar salad I've had in quite some time! The funnel cake fries are also delicious. French fries were a hit too. My teens did not want to leave! We didn't get the correct orders, and after asking for the ranch and blue cheese we originally ordered, I watched our waitress sit on her phone for about 15 minutes instead of helping us. Maybe three other tables at the time at most. The staff overall felt lazy, distracted, and not caring -- like soulless ghosts. Easily some of the worst service I've had in a long time. The one bright spot was the cook. I asked him to redo a chicken order, and he did it with a smile, no questions asked, and even brought it out himself. He also cleared plates and brought our to‑go boxes. That guy is the only good employee they seem to have. The rest of the staff acted like grumpy sloths huddled together to complain about life instead of doing their jobs. The way they walked and the look on thier faces showed how they hated their job. This is the first time I have tried this place. The atmosphere is nice and friendly. They have plenty of games to play and many TVs if you want to watch a variety of sports. We ordered the Cobb salad which was filled with veggies and red onions. I do prefer a traditional Cobb with egg, blue cheese, olives etc but this was still good. The chicken was fried and tasted good. We also tried the flatbread with pepperoni. This was cooked well and had small pieces and plenty of pepperoni. The reason for the 4 stars was due to the server never coming back to check on our table. Usually, this occurs at least once when you dine out. With Cary Towne Center closed Dave and Busters relocated to 1111 Walnut Street so not too far from where it was. The new building is nice! It seems like it has a larger dining area with spacious seating and huge TV screens. We visited on a Wednesday evening since it's half price. We dined first then explored the gaming area. Customer service is hit or miss. Our waitress (Shanay) was amazing! She has an incredible memory. We were a table of 6 with a few complex orders. She remembered everything perfectly and was friendly and attentive. Everytime we needed something she was already walking by to check on us. The food was better than I remember, especially the Hawaiian chicken sandwich. The drinks were okay, weak and sweet. We paid for game credits with our meal (convenient) then headed to the arcade area. They have many of the games you see at other arcades with several modern games. Since we are competitive we enjoyed the multiplayer games like hot wheels, air hockey, hungry hungry hippos, wild tuna, Pac-Man etc. Several of the games had broken components unfortunately and the tickets awarded seemed very random and not always correct. We still had fun and it wasn't worth trying to locate an employee for help. I am looking forward to their upcoming VR experiences. Upon entering we were greeted by a friendly host I told him we would like a table for 7 in 20 minutes (he went to set it up) My husband and I got there before our adult kids, we went to the bar. I came here to say because every Thursday from 7:30pm to 12:00am there is Salsa lesson and then it becomes a salsa social. It's still Dave and Buster's with the games, bar and food but they have a section for the salsa social. My go to food is the birria quesadillas. The staff is friendly and sometimes join in the fun especially for line dancing. There is a fee of $10 to go for the salsa social and dancing but it's worth it. Everyone is friendly there and everyone ask other to dance which is great. This is a great place to learn how to dance salsa and bachata, eat, play games or dink and watch sports. The reason I gave it a 4 was because the pasta dish I ordered wasn't good but besides that it a good place to go to have fun read more

I checked Yelp for the hours and saw they opened at 11am. We decided to Uber because you know, we wanted to be responsible due to drinking and much to our surprise, the ENTIRE BUSINESS was closed for a private event from 11am-5pm. The entire place. I was beyond disappointed especially since we had our hearts set on going there. Not to mention they wasted our time and money taking an Uber there just to be turned away. Whoever was standing outside turning people away did say there was a notification about the closure on their website. I didn't think I had to check a website for something like that, considering a place like this is usually open...events or not. Rent out half the space if that's the case. It didn't have as much queso as one might expect and although my picture may make it look like it's loaded with toppings, it wasn't, at least not for the quantity of nachos. Back again for my grandsons birthday. I was the first to arrive and was told to go to a table for 10. My daughter had prepaid to use the private room. So lots of confusion. Party manager was not told we were there decorating . She just happened to come in and found us. Very poor organization/communication. Food was pizza slices, fries, chicken nuggets and burger sliders. Sliders were all together so the kids couldn't get them out, so not many were eaten. I wish I had checked earlier, I would have cut them apart . Pizza was not kept warm but the other food was. Cola, sprite, pink lemonade and water were the drinks. Note for decorations: you are not allowed to hang anything on the walls, so most of our decorations were not used. Thank goodness we brought plastic tablecloths to cover the dirty tables. There is no sink or paper towels in the room to clean with. The lady that helped us was doing her best by herself. We were told we would have two servers. Game cards were given to the kids, but I don't know how much was on them. A LOT of money spent...I was shocked at the total. Definitely not worth it in my opinion, but my grandson had fun. read more

Food was quite honestly mid. My friend got the quesadilla and it came out definitely burnt not fried not charred BURNT. I got the chicken Alfredo and it was very saucy and cheesy as expected. But the sauce was not good it tasted like water, American cheese, and salt. However, the TVs with sports on was pretty nice considering that it's kind of a plain ambiance in the middle of an arcade. This place dosent deserve one star because of the waitress she was extremely nice and very funny. Since my daughter had off for Election Day and has been very dedicated to her virtual classes with distance learning, I decided to treat her to a Mommy & Daughter Date Night. What better way to spend time than with the reopening of Dave & Busters !? Now. I regret to inform you that Dave's has changed a few thing post pandemic. The Eat and Play Combo is discontinued. Many of the games were not operating due to social distancing practices. This is not cost effective BUT there's still lots to enjoy and dining is also a little limited. You can still enjoy the bar and their craveables menu. The food needs work here. Not the best but not the worst. Had some sliders, a kids bacon cheeseburger and some wings. The wings were good ! When we ordered our Brookie Sundae the ice cream was partially freezer burnt. Service was very good however. We always enjoy the basketball hoop connect four, Red Cup Challenge ( beer pong, minus the beer ) and the big ticket machines where we can score. I must say the prizes have been upgraded !!!!!! They have some sweet prizes ! So glad they're open again for more Mommy Daughter Date nights ahead. read more

This D & B is very dated as to the multiple others that I have been to. Multiple out of service machines and a lot of fan favorites either are not available, not working properly or just out of service period. I did not see any floor attendants on the main floor as in other D&B's. Dave and Busters's are usually better than this and I know they can do better read more

I visited here with my friend and my son about a month or so ago. We were going to the state fair but the line was too long. It was a Saturday night, so it was pretty busy. There was a long wait to sit at a table with a regular server, so we opted to find a seat in the bar area. Unfortunately, it took 30-45 min just to get a table! There were tables available but they were just dirty. We told staff several times but it seemed to not be a priority. I played games with my son while we waited. When we finally got our table, we were hangry, but my son wasn't hungry. I ordered plain wings, truffle fries, and shrimp dip. The food was delicious and no complaints with it. My son and I had a great time playing games. My biggest issue was staff not ensuring tables were cleared off in the bar area for people to sit. There were many people waiting. read more

I am so impressed with this place! We purchased the summer pass and we used it too many times to count. The best money we have spent for our son, and he loved going each and every time. So many cool games that he never grew tired of playing. Very rarely would you see anything out of order. There are always employees around making sure all is running smoothly. This is place is incredibly clean, and the staff are so friendly. Carolyn, the assistant GM, is amazing. I really enjoyed speaking with her today about upcoming football events and her many years with the company. (She loves working there!) One other employee really made an impression on me, Janel "Jellybean". She is so friendly and helpful each and every time we are in there. She's always there and working hard! These two deserve a raise or at least some recognition. I am so happy to have found this place. I have been to other Dave and Busters in other states, and they don't compare. Family fun and great for everyone. We took 6 kids as a birthday celebration. At check in we found different price levels offered for various budgets. We spent about $23 per kid and they had enough tickets to play a good 2 hours. They also offered attraction coupon for bogo $10 and $20. Full restaurant and bar. While the kids played I was able to grab a beer and find quite a few fun games for myself. Although it was crowded I did not find we had to wait long for any game. The tokens received for winning were very fair and we hit the jackpot on different games a few times. The tokens can be saved on your card for another time or turned in for prizes. We found very cool light up head phones. I thought the food was yummy and the server we had was great. I would go back again for sure if we need an indoor activity. read more
