I was really disappointed to visit Pixels, as I was excited to know about a local bar + arcade close to home. We bought some tokens and began browsing the arcade options; we tried a claw machine and attempted a 2nd try, but it would not take our coins. I attempted to get the attention of a young lady working, but she had an AirPod in so it took a minute. When I finally got her attention, she told us in a condescending manner that the machine was "turned off" and couldn't be used. That alone, removed our desire to purchase drinks from this place. Additionally, there is only one person in the kitchen and one person working the bar, which showed slow service. The arcade options are nice though, nothing crazy that would make me choose this bar + arcade over others. When I did go to purchase more tokens, the machine was apparently out of service, but still took our money. We told the same young lady and received another response in distasteful manner, telling us that the machine was obviously out of service but that she would get us our coins. It's a quaint small place in the area, but for the service I received, I'd rather make the drive to Raleigh and other areas to other bar + arcade locations I actually enjoy.

Pixels is a newer barcade that is located in Downtown Rolesville. A group of us stopped in to check it out to play a few games and grab a beer. The glassware for the cocktails look cute and they also have food so will need to try that next time. I thought that they had a good mix of games like claw machines, basketball, big buck hunt, air hockey, classic arcade games and more. It was a fun way to pass time. On a side note, go after 8PM if you want to go when children are not allowed.

I was excited to check out Pixels. There was a parking lot located in front of the business. The decor inside was retro and colorful. We came on a Saturday afternoon & it was busy. There were a variety of people inside including children. The business does have hours for adults only. There were a variety of arcade games and other games such as ice skeet ball inside. We sat at the bar and ordered our food. Our bartender was attentive. I got the Buffalo wings & the kirbylicious drink. The wings were good. They were served hot and were tender. My drink was cute as it was pink and was topped with cotton candy. It tasted ok and was basically a milk based drink but I didn't get a buzz or taste any alcohol in the drink. I would not get it again.

Seems like a decent arcade that was giving a smaller boxcar vibe. The staff here were pleasant. The menu has an overwhelming amount of food and drink offerings. The Seoul empanada was very different but good. It's an acquired taste at first. Very juicy and extremely meaty. I enjoyed it in the end after I got used to the taste. Korean bbq flavored beef and slaw was inside. I also enjoy the cauliflower bites with a side of buffalo and blue cheese for dipping. I would've preferred the cauliflower tossed in the buffalo sauce. Everything was pretty good. The strawberry slushy was also pretty good. The space was super crowded on a Saturday afternoon. The parking was effortless. I would return only if I'm in the area and looking for things to do.

This is a great place to go to with the family or out with friends. Great mix of classic and modern games, good food, and drinks. The space is clean, the staff is friendly, great vibes. We normally go around 5 pm as a family and see a mix of other families, teenagers, and couples that are both young and old. It's a fun place to get out and have fun no matter the age. Highly recommend!

A cool new place in downtown Rolesville! Menu is many different apps and unique empanada flavors - everything we had was good. We would recommend the wine...and we aren't wine snobs they had some interesting cocktails on the menu, but they all sounded sweet and overwhelming. You can either order from the bar or use QR codes at the table to order online and they bring it to you. The games in the restaurant are all pretty standard, classic games.

We went in last night after spending some time in downtown Raleigh. It's still fairly new. I think small tables to set your drinks on while playing would set this place off. Some of the arcade games are our coins which really sucked. We enjoyed playing basketball, skeeball and guitar hero together. I think to attract more adults interactive games we can play together would be a lot of fun. This place is similar to boxcar in downtown but much more low key. It's family friendly until 8. We didn't have any table top space because families were still in the facility past 8. Children were running around Playing arcade games. There's two air hockey tables in the back but they were taken while we were there. We had fun but definitely felt that more interactive games to play together would have kept us there longer. Mario kart, the big connect 4, the big jenga even. Little things like that would go a long way in keeping people entertained while drinking. We would definitely go back in the future! Loved the vibe and the decorations her. The bathroom is super cute.

A happy surprise in every bite…read more Artisan is a bright, cheerful, almost whimsical eatery located in the rapidly expanding Cobblestone Village in downtown Rolesville. This mini-deli serves up a variety of specialty cheeses, cured meats and beers. There's also a wall-size cooler loaded with a wide selection of canned craft beers, ciders and seltzers. The decor is warm minimalism, the vibe is neighborly and the staff cordial and accommodating. Signature sandwiches are my personal favorites, but there's also a variety of Small Plates, Salads and Boards. The sandwiches are huge - like the ones found in the best of New York's delis. One special, the Sweet Heat Seoulwich, was truly special. (Be sure to check the specials which change often.) The Toasted Hoagie Roll is piled high with Korean BBQ Glazed Pineapple, Mortadella, Mozzarella, Pickled Fresno Peppers, Gochujang Aioli (spicy Korean-inspired mayonnaise), Lettuce and Tomato. (Bet you can't eat all of it in one sitting.) The traditional Turkey Club is another monster that includes Hickory Smoked Turkey, Pesto Aioli, Spanish Jamon (ham), Lettuce, Tomato, and Vermont Cheddar on Sourdough Bread - a gourmet delight. Add a pint of Salty Turtle Kölsh Style Ale and you have a delicious, filing and refreshing meal. On the lighter side we recommend the Small Salad & 1/2 Sandwich. We paired a Caesars Salad and Mortadella (traditional sliced Italian Pork Sausage, Calabrian Chili Aioli, Gruyere Cheese, Balsamic Caramelized Onions and spicy Arugula on a toasted Hoagie Bun) - really good. The Whipped Ricotta Plate is another winner. The velvety Ricotta is topped with a rich Fig Jam, crispy Prosciutto, Yuzu Oil (refined citrus peal oil), Citrus Zest and Chives. The accompanying toasted Sourdough Bread was airy, tangy and as good as you will find anywhere. What I appreciate the most about Artisan is its creativity and imagination.

I was impressed with so many of them, that I knew I had to make the journey from Raleigh to Wake Forest. On a chilly Saturday afternoon, I took the lone remaining seat at the bar. The service was incredible friendly (Cheers!) and they let me try 4 samples, which was very much appreciated. My favorites were the Juicy January and and the Yellow Submarine, both are Hazy IPAs. The JJ had hints of creamy pineapple in it, refreshing without being too light. The YS tasted a little more balanced, a really good all around beer. The Where I Belong was also good, this one leaned a little more towards West Coast, but it didn't have a strong piney taste like a lot of West Coasts can. I even noticed hints of caramel in it as well, which helped to counter the hops. There are several TVs and they'll put on just about any game you request. Also if you're into pumpkin beer, try the Pumpkin Amber when it's around. It's a Top 3 pumpkin beer that I've ever tried, and I've tried at least 25.

The sports bar is divided into two sections: a dining room with tables and booths, and a bar with high-top seating. The restaurant was fairly quiet until the karaoke was about to start. Then it seemed like you needed to scream to hear a conversation. They also have trivia nights, so that likely isn't as loud. I ordered the Wagyu Burger, and it was cooked to order and delicious. The mashed potatoes for the side were lukewarm and rather dry and bland. The way they were presented at the table made it seem as if they were meant to go with something, like butter or gravy. I would not recommend the mashed potatoes, but the burger was delicious. The sweet potato fries, another had as a side, looked good, as did a salad. Service seemed good at first with the drink and food orders. But once the food was brought out, I don't think we saw the waitress again until it was time for the checks. A bill with a credit card for another guest at a different table was even brought out with the processed checks. So make sure you get the correct credit card back.
