The staff were pleasant and service efficient. The ambiance was eclectic and small. An ATM machine was located onsite. It took a minute (about 30 minutes) before our order was ready. They have a plethora of wing flavors that boggles the mind (Eye of the Tiger, Polish Hill Strangler, The Color Purple, Frank Sinatra just to name a few). They also have burgers, sandwiches, and hoagies in addition to salads and sides. Although the walk back to the hotel was a bop, our wings were still hot, fresh, and crispy. All in all, a great place for wings and we can't wait to come back and try one of the more unique flavors.

Just had beers at this visit, and they were ICE COLD! But last time we came we had the wings. Let me tell you! I used to own a bar in Dallas that legit had the best wings in town. Well - this is the only place in town that I feel could compete with what we used to make. SUPER crispy and amazing flavor. Not weird or chewy. Just spot on. I wish this spot could expand a little so it wasn't such a straight shot interior. It would be nice if there were more cozy spaces and corners to relax in for awhile. But that's my only complaint. You feel a little exposed at the bar, which makes it feel a little less neighborhood bar and a little more strip mall casual eatery. But it is what it is! If they ever get an opp to expand they should. Need to go back asap cuz now I'm craving those wings!

What's the order was entered into the computer and paid somebody came out from back of the kitchen and began to make my food. I'm not sure if he even said hello to me but he did his job perfect. Once it was done he put it up in the window and I was able to take it. The store is a great paint shop inside it's just so weird that you can't sit there and eat your sandwich. Now the chicken sandwich itself seemed like it was massively over size. I had chicken breast hanging out both sides of the bun. And it wasn't a crappy Patty that you're used to at normal fast food places. It was pretty good a nice juicy and a Buffalo wasn't too spicy it was great. Only question is that these chickens at their serving up have such big boobies that I'm wondering if this is a Turkey breast. Of course it's not a Turkey but it's so big it'll make you think it was. Overall I'm looking forward to coming back and trying some more menu items.

Excellent Smoked Wings and Great Happy Hour Spot…read more Stopped by Broken Barrel Tavern at Palm Bay Road and Babcock and had a great experience. Service was prompt and friendly, and the happy hour specials made it an even better value. I ordered the wing basket with 8 smoked wings and onion petals. The onion petals were crispy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the spicy remoulade sauce. For the wings, I tried both the Carolina Vinegar and the Hot Garlic flavors. The smoked wings themselves were outstanding, and the Hot Garlic sauce was especially memorable because it featured real garlic, which added incredible flavor. These are definitely wings I will come back for and highly recommend to anyone visiting. My partner ordered the BBQ pulled pork quesadillas with seasoned fries. The fries were more like freshly cut chips, nicely seasoned and delicious, and the quesadillas were excellent as well. Overall, Broken Barrel Tavern delivered great food, quick service, and a relaxed atmosphere. If you're in the Melbourne area and looking for outstanding smoked wings, this place is absolutely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back.

Went for lunch on a Friday and they had two servers and only one working the dining area. We sat in the very dark dining area. Every surface was painted black. Lighting was pretty poor and it was hard to read the menus. Ordered a pulled pork platter and a pulled pork sandwich. They both came with "fried chips" and the platter had another side and we chose beans. Bourbon Bbq sauce was our choice. The pork was good. Good portions on both sandwich and platter. Beans had some "heat" which I don't favor but my son really liked. The chip fries or fried chips - whichever they call them were seasoned with a garlic salt it tasted like. However they could have used about another minute I the fryer. The bigger ones were raw in the middle. May have been a byproduct of a large party in their event room throwing off their timing. But if cooked a bit more they would be a unique side for the area and good. Server was stretched thin. Freshens my son's drink but not mine until he brought the check. By then meal was over. I had water. Not difficult. Rib special looked good from a distance and I heard they are known for wings. Maybe next time. Noticed there is a private room for events that most restaurants do not have. So a point to consider.

It was pretty tasty with pork belly bites and crispy rice. We got the curry pork katsu, a chicken sandwich, ttekkboki, and chicken tender fries. The curry pork katsu seemed to be the best deal, nice and crispy. The chicken sandwich was just okay and disappointing that it doesn't come with fries. The chicken tenders and fries were pretty bland, but it was good when dipped in the ttekkboki sauce. The rice cakes and fish cakes in the ttekkboki were decent, but the sauce overall could've had a little more kick. Bathroom were nice and clean and the staff was very friendly.

The burger itself was decent, but the patty-to-bun ratio was off. The bun was good quality, just way too big for the patty. I'd honestly rather see a smaller bun so the burger doesn't feel like it's hiding. On the plus side, the toppings were on point--just the right amount of lettuce, onions, and sliced tomato, which helped pull it together. My wife ordered the Swap Chicken Goofy Foot, which is their plant-based chicken substitute wrap. Her take? It was okay. Not bad, but not impressive either. It tasted exactly like what you'd expect from a meat-free chicken swap in a casual beachside spot--edible, simple, and forgettable. Too much other stuff in the wrap. It didn't wow her, but it also didn't offend. Would she order it again, probably not. That pretty much sums up the experience. No frills, simple, decent food, decent ambiance, and great service. The wait was minimal and the meals arrived quickly. Excellent service! This isn't the place you go for culinary surprises--it's the place you go when you want something easy, reasonably priced, and reliable near the beach. I would give this place a try, just keep expectations in check.
