After ordering, I sat down and saw that you could get $5 an order of $20 if you ordered via their app. I had put my phone number in for points, but it seemed to be a different system than the app, because nothing showed up on the app. The food came out in spurts: first was the kimchi fried rice. It was pretty tasty with pork belly bites and crispy rice. We got the curry pork katsu, a chicken sandwich, ttekkboki, and chicken tender fries. The curry pork katsu seemed to be the best deal, nice and crispy. The chicken sandwich was just okay and disappointing that it doesn't come with fries. The chicken tenders and fries were pretty bland, but it was good when dipped in the ttekkboki sauce. This location is spacious but average. The menu has quite a variety of offerings from fries to rice dishes, and even powder based milk teas! Pricing is a bit on the higher end but that is to be expected from a smaller run location. We got a variety of items, the weakest was definitely the fries. They sound amazing but they're pretty basic and the toppings could be better (especially with coverage). While the chicken is okay, it was the katsu that was solid while also being a good sized portion making it a reasonable price! I came here for lunch on Friday and wasn't very pleased. I'll start by saying that I'm don't know much about Korean food, so please excuse my ignorance. I didn't like the coconut curry chicken as it was not served hot and there wasn't much chicken on the bones. I asked the waiter if I could have something simpler like chicken tenders and she was happy to replace the meal which was very nice. The tenders were pretty big and a big overdone for my taste, as some other reviewers have pointed out. All in all, it was a so-so experience. The kimchi fried rice had a nice vinegar kick and big chunks of pork belly, well rendered and tasty. Wings tried were: Gochujang buffalo - spicy sweet and crispy under the sauce Seoul hot - this one ended up being a dry rub which caught me off guard, luckily, I LOVE a dry rub blend. UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO OWNER COMMENT: The pork RIB bowl tasted of old pork about to go bad covered by marinade to mask the taste. It actually made me feel really sick after a first bite, so my friend ended up eating the rest of it. I ate the chicken tenders and it was ok, but it was very greasy and you can tell the oil they used was not fresh. The cauliflower was not good and I didn't bother with the wings as it's Korean chicken aka sickeningly sweet sauce. The fries were the only thing I was like ok on. As a long time fan of Korean Fried chicken, I finally steered the car into the car park for So-Ju Chicken. The weekend manager, Gabriel, kindly provided samples of each of the sauces. Though I knew already what I was looking for (gimme that classic Korean Red Sauce!) Ended up splitting the sauces in a ménage a trois of spicy Korean red, spicy garlic soy and standard garlic soy. Also samples the kimchi (house made, a little spicy, very nice!) Side of daikon (personal thought - best in brevard right here!) Korean food is amazing, and the chicken? Truly the best fried chicken I've ever known. It's crispy but delicate, so juicy and the sauces just outdo normal wing flavors we are so accustomed to here in the states. This place does not disappoint! Leery of trying anything from this guy's kitchen after the horrid swill offered at Senzu, I put my Big Boy pants on and decided to take one for the team (if I had to). This place still has that new restaurant smell and the interior is spotlessly clean. Unlike, Senzu, so-Ju Chikn is co-owned with his brother Hung. I placed an order for a 2 piece tender meal and a Beef Bulgogi bowl. My waitress for the meal was Mary Ann. I found Mary Ann to be quite charming and a delight compared to the obnoxious Zoomer at Senzu. Mary Ann was soon seen heading back with my order and I readied myself for good or ill! The first thing up was a bite of what appeared to be perfectly fried chicken tenders. Yep, they were indeed fried to perfection. They were tender and juicy on the inside with a light golden coating that packed just the right amount of crunch. As far as I could discern, the So-Ju secret dry-rub appears to be naught but salt and MSG (the same can be said of Kentucky Fried Chicken's Secret Herbs and Spices, though they also add pepper to the mix). Regardless, it was exceedingly flavorful on the palate. I truly enjoyed this chicken The Beef Bulgogi bowl was filled to the top with fresh lettuce and Daikon. The Kimchi that accompanied it while nothing to write home about, was certainly nothing to sneeze at either. It was fresh and tasty. The base of steamed rice was prepared to immaculateness. I would be remiss if I didn't mention how wonderfully flavorful the pickled Daikon was. Daikon is pretty much tasteless and this preparation added some real flavor and an impressive taste to the vegetable.
