They have a burger of the month that are always fun to try and Wednesday's is 2 burgers for $12. I had the Stumps burger (Stumps spicy green olives, cheese and bacon) divine! My husband likes the classic burger the best but he's kinda boring and doesn't venture far from his normal. Lol While the place itself isn't anything fancy, it is a bar, it is clean. The staff is always friendly and kudos to the cook because he makes the best dang burgers ever!

Stopped in for a quick meal after picking up the grand kids from school on the way to soccer…read more Friendly young lady at counter took our orders and brought our food promptly. Clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Reasonably priced kids meals that were more like adult meals. Their grilled cheese and chicken fingers included a side, a soda and a scoop of ice cream; so great place to take kids. My grandson gave the chicken fingers a 5 of 5; and he's a chicken fingers expert. My other grandson enjoyed his grilled cheese and my wife thought her hot honey chicken panini was ok. It was made with a bun instead of bread which was a little to dry. I ordered the monster burger without reading the description. I was stunned when I saw it was a burger, bacon, lettuce, onion and tomato between TWO grilled cheese sandwiches. It was delicious, but very filling, oof! Would definitely go back as I'd like to try some of their other sandwiches. Kids meals and monster burger 5. Chicken sandwich 3. Had to give it a 5 overall because we were so pleasantly surprised.

This place has been around forever, and for good reason! They have a great, casual, fun atmosphere…read morewith lots of sports playing all around. The place is slightly split into two parts: one side for dining and another for the bar. They have a million beers on tap, and also have wine and a full bar. Servers are friendly and helpful! The menu is pretty simple, all American food. So if you're not into that you might want to look elsewhere. But the stuff they offer they do really well. The fish and chips are great and the nacho portions are huge. They also do burgers well too. We got the kids spaghetti and meatballs for our son and it was good but the meatballs were spicy which seemed like a weird choice. The warm cookie topped with cold ice cream is the perfect dessert choice to end the night!

We were seated in the bar area. Bread sticks came out fresh, hot and were delicious. Well seasoned and perfectly cheesy . We were starving and inhaled them so fast I forgot to take a pic. Our order consisted of Spaghetti and Meatballs, BBQ Burger with tots and pizza with side cesear salad. The spaghetti came out look warm which was very disappointing. But it was very tasty and filling. Sauce was full of flavor and so were the HUGE meatballs. I can only imagine how much better it would have been hot. Would def order this again. The BBQ Burger was reported to be well cooked and yummy. It was also mildly warm when it came out. Tots were reported to be well seasoned and mildly warm also. Pizza was reported to be ok. It was also only warm. Son wasn't too impressed with it and he loves pizza. It looked very fake... like premade frozen pizza. He didn't eat but 2 small slices of it. Cesar salad was basic. Oddly enough the lettuce was warm instead of cold. So what I gather from all the temperature issues is that the food was made and sat out. That's disappointing. If it was brought out fresh I bet I could have given this a much higher rating. Refills were a struggle to get. She gave my husband and son 1 refill then never came back to check on us until it was time for the check. And again.. it was not even close to being busy. I counted 8 families in the whole place from time we arrived to time we left.

We had the Baby back ribs plus two meat platter. We actually added a third meat for $4 more. Besides the baby backs, we had brisket, chopped pork, and burnt ends. All of the meats were fantastic! For sides we had the Wilbur Beans and red skin mashed potatoes, along with the pickled onions and hell fire pickles. We love them all. I love going into Dave's and walking around the restaurant looking at all of the cool vintage signs and pictures hanging on the walls. The pictures of Dave in front of all the old historic bbq joints all over the country are really cool too. Stop in at Famous Dave's in Rockford and have a great meal like we did.

The second worker, a young guy with long hair (I didn't get his name) was making my cold subs. I was sitting in the lobby and noticed he place an order receipt on top of my cold sandwiches. I approach the register and asked if that was normal, he said yes. I told him that it's not very sanitary or food safe. He responded "it's not dirty" the guy seemed more bothered that I said something. I sat back down to review some food safety guides online, sure enough it says do not eat any part of the food that directly touched the receipt. "Jersey Mike's uses thermal paper for their receipts, the heat and moisture from a freshly made sub can cause BPA or BPS chemicals to transfer directly onto the bread or ingredients". I bought it back up to the guy. He said it's not dirty again, etc. I asked if he could make new subs for me, he again responded with attitude and said that's fine but it'll take longer now. He helped the next guest. The guy making my hot sub came up and spoke to the long hair guy and immediately made me new sandwiches even offered me an additional drink, way better customer service. I apologized to the guy with the long hair, I told him sorry for making this a big deal and if that's how he's being trained it's not his fault. Management either needs to do better or a food safety training needs to be reviewed.
