The food and service were amazing. The only downside is the brisket was a little dry.

We have eaten there 2 times now, both times great service and great food. I had Pulled Pork both times, it was better than the place we ate at in Paris. My partner had the baked potato loaded the first time and loved it. The second visit he had the Street Tacos and they were so loaded with meat. I will probably have them the next visit. read more

We came to Buffalo Grill for a late lunch. Such a great restaurant. The restaurant has inside and outside dining. It was very clean and loved the BBQ country chic. We had great service! The food came out quickly and our server was sweet. We had fried green tomatoes as an appetizer--yum! They are my fave, so I was thrilled they came out so yummy. The hubs ordered a brisket sandwich and fries- he loved it. I ordered a stuffed baked potato with grilled chicken and it came with a side salad. It was delicious. Driving thru from Oklahoma City to Texarkana. Last minute wanted a sandwich and saw Buffalo Grill. Called order in to pick up on way thru. Order was ready 10 minutes later. We got the Smokey Club and the Smokey Okie. My brisket was the best brisket I've had in Oklahoma I think. Holy cow it was moist, with tasty bark and good smoke flavor. So good!! And my wife's club sandwich...how many times do you see a club sandwich made with real ham? Not some pressed ham lunch meat. The fries were good and the sweet tea plenty sweet. I know my go to restaurant will be Buffalo Grill Everytime I'm going through Hugo. And reasonable prices! Edit: Ok, so to prove I wasn't lying about my first review I went back to Buffalo Grill on my way home to Oklahoma City. Hoping it wasn't a fluke, and I am happy to report that It was equal or even better than the first trip. I got the Smokey Okie again and it was as good or better. My wife got the Mac and cheese with brisket on it. We ate at the restaurant and the service was great. I have to say this has to be the best brisket I've had in at least 10 years. I didn't like the food at all. My husband said his was pretty good but I got turkey potato salad and mac and cheese and would not recommend the turkey. He got a three meat plate with pulled pork chopped brisket and chicken and said both meets except the chicken were fine. I would not go back but the service was good and friendly read more

When my 12yo leaves and says, "Mom, that was probably the best meal I've ever had." You KNOW it was good. We had the best time eating outside with the ambiance, kids playing the games and with the toys, the food was terrific, and server "Lylus W" was outstanding. The kids meals were giant too. So it was my first bbq in the south, and this place has the smallest portions, reminds me of a cafeteria created to get you in and out, didn't have an ambiance because I couldn't get over the fact that they charged my order twice on my credit card. That has never happened to me in any establishment thru my entire life, including drive thru food spots. They didn't offer anything to make up for their mistake just glossed over, they basically just hid behind the blue line of police officer memorabilia surrounding the host/cashier location in front. When things go wrong, something needs to be said at least, so there's my take on this spot. Not going back. Lost all my bbq budget to Pit Stop BBQ literally 20 seconds down the same street, "Jackson"... food is way better, and they give you bigger portions.. Get your moneys worth over there at Pit Stop...my opinion. I think some people settle for less because they don't take the time to actually look around. just because a place is open Maybe an hour later doesn't necessarily mean you should spend hard earned money on something that's not worth it. Just go a little bit earlier to pitstop or maybe somewhere else I just had to stop looking around after I found Pit Stop because it's the best stuff I've had in a while. read more

Pulled pork was the best meat. Brisket was a little dry. Ribs were way overcooked. Should have sent them back. The entire outside was black and chewy (like jerky). Our waitress was wonderful and so helpful. We were in Hugo to visit the elephants and were pleasantly surprised by this gem! Barbecue was OK, not great. My wife was satisfied with her pulled pork sandwich and was very complimentary of the fries; I was not overly impressed with my two-meat plate with pork ribs, sliced brisket, potato salad, and fried okra. The ribs were full spare ribs, very tinder, with good bark but almost no smoky flavor. They were the best thing on the plate. The brisket was two thick slices off the lean end, no fat, tender, and pretty dry. Both the ribs and brisket were served about room temperature; I'd prefer my meat to be kept warm on the pit or at least in a warming oven. The fried okra, though cooked pretty brown, was also at room temperature. Potato salad bore little evidence of containing anything besides potatoes and mayonnaise. The only inedible part of the plate was the (totally unnecessary) toast, which tasted like it had been cooked on a grill that was long, long overdue for a deep cleaning and change of grease. read more

My husband and I went here within the last two weeks and we enjoyed our dinner. It was the first time that I had had any of the barbecue and I liked it, giving it about a 3 1/2, but it was very plentiful. My husband had the double meat, double cheeseburger and he really enjoyed it. He said he would give it a four. He said the meat was cooked well, the cheese tasted really good, and that it was not dry. I would give the coleslaw about a 3 1/2, not because it wasn't fresh, but because I like a sweet coleslaw. It wasn't sweet to me, but if you don't like a sweet coleslaw, you may really like this one. He said their french fries tasted average to him and he would give them about a three. Beautiful Saturday afternoon on a road trip with 2 11year old boys. Great place! I wanted to pickup the place and take it home! We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the perfect weather. There were all types of customers - families, Harley owners from Paris Tx, locals riding bikes,even locals were driving by honking and waving. The boys loved the burger, grilled cheese and fries. The pulled pork sandwiche was good but I really enjoyed the 1 bite of my husband's BBQ brisket sandwich I grabbed with my fork when his head was turned. Small but good beer selection. Me and my son, from Paris, drove to try this place recently. The drive was pleasant and the BBQ was to die for. The smoky flavor was just right so I hesitated to put any BBQ sauce on it but the sauce was also very good so I tried a little. The pulled pork also very good. Many sides to choose from and my son loved the Mac and Cheese. One unique thing I really lived was you got to sit at a table, restaurant style, and they come to your table to take your order. Their service was excellent and drink refills as needed. Prices good too. Place was very clean and there is outdoor seating as well. We shall return! read more

Stopped for lunch on the way home (to Dallas) from a weekend in Arkansas. It was hot outside so I really didn't want to sit outside but we had our dog with us. Surprisingly, the patio had fans and was very comfortable. The inside was packed with locals but the service was still on par. My daughter and I split a two meat bbq plate with ribs and brisket. It was very moist and tasty. My husband enjoyed the California grilled chicken sandwich with avocado and my son had the kids' chicken tenders. I really enjoyed the fries and the fact that our glasses never sat empty. Our waitress even provided us with to-go glasses of soda/tea for the road! The highlight of lunch, however, were the delicious fried green tomatoes!! They came with plenty of ranch and had just the right amount of kick to make them very flavorful! This was my favorite restaurant in Oklahoma. I don't understand how the prices were so affordable, yet the food so good. Service was fast and our waitress, Elizabeth, was so pleasant and efficient.
