Overall I am happy with Buffalo. I have been shopping & trading here on and off for probably 13 years. They recently moved, and this new location is so tiny! I liked their location much better, although this one is closer to my house. I think their prices are mostly fair, and I love all the vintage band shirts. I have gotten steals on purses there as well. The normally out of reach designers, Coach Michael Kors Ted Baker Kate Spade, are at a significant discount. Most items are used, but they are picky so you know its in good shape. I prefer to hang out while the people sort through stuff, so I know what they are pricing my items at (your paid off what they sell it at). I would suggest doing it, even though I trust their pricing. They also have a location in Tempe by ASU, huge store, different vibe, worth checking out as well. read more

I didn't try to sell anything here because I didn't want to set myself up for failure. I came here just to shop. Slim pickings compared to the Tempe store. I didn't find a single thing. The layout of the store was very odd too. Cramped and not easy to maneuver. Staff was friendly enough. I'd rather try my luck at the Tempe location though. read more

Very disappointed with this location's selection and prices. I realize that the fashion tastes of those doing the buying is subjective, but come on now. My subjective opinion overall is that most of the clothing I've seen over numerous recent visits wouldn't be suitable for a yard sale. One example was a T-shirt that appeared to be hand made (not well) entirely from bandanas sewn together. Looks like someone emptied out their rag bag at home. Then to charge those prices, forget it. I went to buffalo exchange last Friday because I wanted to get some jeans. I was really excited because you never know what you will find. But suddenly I got really disappointed: all the jeans were in a bad condition, kinda dirty and old and plus: super EXPENSIVE!!! I'm not trying to find $10 jeans but I'm never gonna pay $35 and even $50 for second hand jeans and a unknown brand!! I was terrible shocked, I thought it was a joke or something, really you can find NEW good stuff in a regular store for that price. Then I stopped and I decided to take a look to the shirts and I couldn't believe, everything was OVERPRICED!! I don't know what's wrong with them, I really like to go to second hand stores but now I know: no more buffalo exchange or platos closet. Out of all the "buy, sell, trade" clothing stores in the Phoenix area, Buffalo Exchange has consistently been my favorite. The staff is helpful, and are genuinely friendly and complimentary. They also always seem wide selection of clothing and shoes that is updated often. Quickly has become one of my most frequented stores. read more

This place was way over priced, the customer service was awful and uninviting. I can't believe they were selling old forever 21 and H&M clothing for so much money. I hate Buffalo Exchange. Every single one I've ever gone to never takes anything; it's usually just 1-2 items out of everything I bring in. And when you actually look around the store, all the clothes are crappy anyways! I brought in 2 pairs of Vera Wang heels that were in good condition and they said they 'were not in season'. When are high heels not in season? I've never seen anything I've even remotely wanted to buy. I don't donate my leftover clothes here anymore because I'm convinced they're just going to turn around and sell it anyways. read more

I have been frequenting Buffalo Exchange for MANY years. I have been to their San Francisco location and Tempe. Due to the fact that I am an avid Goodwill hunter and have found amazing things on the cheap, it's hard for me to get a thrill at Buffalo. They are over-priced. If I don't have time to hunt through Goodwill or Savers, this is my go to. They are selective and have some truly beautiful merchandise. read more

Probably the best second hand store I've been to. It can be a little pricey, but if you take your time and hunt and really look through the clothes you can score big time. I used to always shop at higher end clothing stores, but not switching over to second hand and thrift stores, buffalo exchange is on the top of the list! Buffalo Exchange is always a fun, interesting place to stop in to and look for some good bargains on quality gently-used clothes, shoes and assorted trinkets for yourself. Located on 7th St and Osborn conveniently next to one or our favorite haunts, Taco Guild, you can almost always find something of interest. If you're patient and willing to shuffle through the multitude of racks of t-shirts, shirts, jeans, jackets and other assorted items you may just find that perfect thing you didn't know you wanted at a ( "Really? Only this much?" ) good price. The folks who work there are always friendly and look like they're having a good time being there. The store is clean, well-maintained ( very much UN-like, say, the zoo that is Last Chance Clearance Store on Camelback... ), generally just fun to wander through for a bit. I've been a customer for over 10 years and never have an issue.Great service always. I see that a lot of people complaint of how little they pay or how they do not purchase YOUR treasures. This place is to take your items you are ready to let go because you no longer use BUT still fashionable. If you think you item is worth more than what they offer SELL IT ON YOUR OWN. No need to get nasty with the employees they are just employees they don't get paid millions to be going thru your old cloths. Time and time again I see offended people leave thinking they would get half of what they paid 10,5, even a 1 ago people there are 50%-60% off sales every season after. Your old true religions are not million dollar pieces. This place exist to get a little extra cash for cleaning your closet, feeling good that you recycled clothing that someone else will enjoy your item and maybe donating to one of the charities they donate the cloths to (one each different day). This location offers a wide variety of clothing from classy and formal to fun and crazy concert clothes. The staff is also very friendly and always offers to help you pick out something perfect for you. I have been to the tempe location a few times and though it is the same business, the phoenix location has a way better selection and all around vibe. Waste of time, place sucks. Everything I would of bought there was really worn or grungy looking for a few dollars less than a brand new matching item. Employees act like they better than you and don't know what's going on when it comes to clothing when buying. I recently brought in brand new Rebel 8 gear hats, shirts, etc... and was told it wasn't in style, are you kidding me??? Rebel 8 has a very large worldwide following. Was told washed once dickies shorts wouldn't sell, I about laughed out loud, you know how many people wear dickies in Phoenix, especially in that neighborhood? The best was being told how my original 501's were too worn... First they still had stiffness and the perfect amount of fading and by no means did they look too worn. Don't 501's basically keep their value or can even possibly increase in value due to certain wear factors? Other city locations are slightly better but I gotta say I can't support a clueless business who delivers horrible customer service with attitude. I been here twice and both times have been not such a great experience. Could use a little work on customer service although second time I have entered I been greeted. I did wait about 10 minutes before the person had taken a look at my clothes. Both times I have brought clothes into this place have been rejected. A few items didn't make any sense why you would reject. Everything I brought in there is brand name and expensive. I brought in Steve Madden heels , Michael Kors purse, hollister, express, Etc. This time I brought my boyfriends clothes which he had just cleaned out his closet and was attempting to sell them. The man had told me "you should maybe teach your boyfriend how to was clothes he has some bleach spots on the pants". If you have nothing nice to say don't say it at all. I didn't realize that. Place is nothing like the one that used to be on Missouri so If your clothes you're trying to sell are not next falls fashion trend or they don't look like the stuff worn in a Cazwell music video shoot, BufFalo Exchange will not buy them, I brought in pants from Old Navy, Shorts, Dickie's medical scrub pants, and a ladies pink Nike backsack all of which still had their tags on them, mostly stuff I didn't try on at the store and never got around to returning within the 30 days. BufFalo Exchange turned me away for everything, I was certain they would at least buy the old navy slim jeans, but she said we're just not going to go with any of this today, thank you, bah-bye... read more
