The matcha tasted pretty watered down and lacked the rich, earthy flavor that good matcha usually has. It felt more like lightly colored milk than a proper matcha drink. I also had high expectations for the blueberry flavor, but unfortunately it tasted a bit like cough syrup rather than a natural blueberry flavor. It kind of overpowered the drink in a a way that didn't feel very balanced. The signs for the matcha flavors were also a bit sticky and dirty (as shown in the picture), which gave me the ick a little -- a quick wipe down would make the experience feel a lot cleaner for people trying the matcha flight. The coconut matcha and lavender matcha were actually very good flavor-wise, but the matcha itself still wasn't very strong. I think the drinks could really improve if the matcha base was more bold and if some of the flavor options tasted a bit more natural. The café itself is cute and the vibe is nice, which is why I'm giving three stars. I would definitely come back again, and my review could easily change if the matcha becomes stronger in the future. Matcha can be amazing when it's done right, so I hope they refine the recipe a bit.

The guy ahead of me might've been buying for the whole fire station or something--he had the union sticker on his truck and his order took a while. But the barista here was actually quick. My Americano was ready in maybe a minute and a half at the most, all filled with friendly chitchat. The poor thing was next to that huge open window on a 32-degree day, trying to survive in a sweatshirt. Credit to her, 'cause she was cheerful and funny the whole time. There's everything to like about this place for sure. Looks like they make some much-fancier drinks, too, but I'm always Mr Basic in the cup (even though I do seek out fancy beans sometimes).

Paul's warm smile and friendly greeting set the tone for a great experience. I am always so happy when I see him behind the counter. Ashley is another team member who makes my coffee run even better. Always friendly and willing to help me fine tune a drink so it's not too this or too that, she is always patient and kind.
