Beer flight

Great atmosphere, beer, and service. Buffalo Creek is the perfect destination to spend an afternoon at. Beer sampler was $15 and great value. All the beers were amazing and the sampler gives you a good taste of what this spot has to offer. Can't wait to go back.

A nice location to enjoy some delicious beverages in Long Grove with plenty of parking and a spacious interior. The setup of this space is great for small groups and even when busy isn't extremely loud where you can't hear one another due to the layout that helps to spread out the sound a bit. One thing that's great about this spot is the nice selection of different craft sodas, including the Buffalo Creek selection of craft sodas which seem to be a bit less sweet than major brands with a bit more mild of a flavor. The service is fast and friendly here and the decor reminds me of some spots in milwaukee with a lot of wood accents and beer related decor. Overall, a solid choice for a casual spot to get a drink, and a great place to stop by if you are visiting nearby restaurants and shops in Long Grove.

The patio was closed for a private party on Sunday but we grabbed a table inside. Decent offering of German beers. Only food available were bison sticks and a variety of flavored popcorns, which were quite good. Service was awkward and far from welcoming. There were clearly quite a few regulars there and everyone seemed to know each other. We quickly finished our drinks in search of a place with a friendlier vibe.

What a wholesome and sweet spot. Interior is a woodsy campground with a bar, Bench seats, and high top tables. On the weekend, they offer beer yoga; drinks include the beermimosa which is only served on weekends. They have an outdoor playground outside as well; great for families. Staff is knowledgeable about all the beer and very friendly. Highly recommended

Beer for brunch, I arrived just as they opened at noon and had a seat in the bar area. I was here because the parking lot has power outlets and I needed to charge up the house battery in the Sprinter van. A friendly conversation with the bartender who was not at all busy on this rainy Sunday morning. And then, some time with the wifi to write a review and plot out where I'm heading next. Beers were great. Delicious and cold. No need for a snack as I still had leftover breakfast to eat later. All great stuff. [Review 20638 overall - 185 in Illinois - 1619 of 2023.]

Beer flight (don't remember what my friend got though).

I came here with two friends and my toddler while we were checking out the town. We arrived around 4:30 on a Monday night, so it was pretty empty (better for me though so my daughter could run around more freely). They don't have food but they let you bring your own. As it started to fill up later people were bringing in their pizzas or other takeout. The interior is really nice and clean with lots of space and seating, along with an open area that looks like it's for live music. It was dark and cold but it looked like they also have a wide back patio area with more seats and some fire pits that could be fun to use. They definitely get into the holiday spirit with their decorations and music playlist (punk/rock Christmas songs and covers). There was only one bartender at the bar but he was really chill and friendly. I ordered a Cherry Rasp, which is their cherry raspberry amber ale, and I liked it! My friend got a flight; I don't remember what she got but she also liked them. I'll probably go with that next time! We ended up spending maybe 1.5 hours there and I also ordered a Beau Fleu (apparently pronounced "buff'lo"...I see what you did there) which is a double IPA and I enjoyed that one too. Overall a solid experience and I'm likely to come back again if I'm ever in the area, but I'll come on a weekend to see how it is when it's busier.

First of all, this place is super cute. Too bad we visited on a gloomy day because the outdoor section was so nice! I was torn on my review as I didn't enjoy my beer that much. However, if you like lager style brews, this place would be your jam. Staff was friendly.

My husband and I went to Buffalo Creek Brewing to play board games with some friends. The space is perfectly set up for this. The environment is relaxing and conducive to conversations with friends. We ordered the craft ginger beer and root beer that was offered. The bartender asked us why we weren't drinking when we had just ordered sodas. I did not like feeling pressured to order alcohol. The craft sodas were very enjoyable. I might or might not return, but I still recommend Buffalo Creek Brewing.

First time at BCB, and I really liked it! You can bring your own food. A couple of buddies and I grabbed a pizza from Joanie's (I don't recommend it) and we had a few beers while we ate. Really cool vibe! There were 25ish people there on a Wednesday night. The couple next to us was playing Scrabble. Very casual, unhurried atmosphere. I got the Cherry Rasp, which was a very unique brew--a fruity amber ale. After dinner we went outside and sat under the gazebo (it was snowing) and smoked a few cigars.

Excellent spot! Big with ample seating and excellent beer. You can do a beer flight of any of their selections, which is a great way to try a bunch of things. I highly recommend the sours, especially the cherry sour.

Look and you just stepped into a really fancy outdoor restaurant but the prices don't add up. Because even though the food is absolutely spectacular it is very affordable. Everything on the menu is actually very fairly priced and quite delicious. I've been here over 15 times and every single time I trust something new I'm not disappointed at all. It does get a little crowded so it may be a little bit busy on the weekends. That's why I usually go on the weekdays and it's always very fast a quick service chatterbox y'all rock and I cannot wait to come back soon. I'm here for another delicious dinner.

Ok so there's no way to cancel the order, so I walk over and go in. Takes about 5 minutes before one of the two hostesses turns around to see what I need. I explain the situation and she says she can't cancel it, that I have to cancel it in the app. I explain that there is no cancel option. She says I don't know you have to do it in the app. I explain that I am not able to cancel it and try to show her... to which she says "I don't know I'm just the hostess". So I ask for the manager. The hostess Points to the bar and says "over there, the one in black". Well there appear to be three bartenders ALL IN BLACK!!! SMDH. So I ask which one, they are all wearing black. She lets me know exactly which of the three and I go to talk to the manager. I explain the situation *again*. The manager says to cancel it in the app. I explain again that I can't, and show her. She says she can cancel it but it will be about 5 minutes because she's making drinks. No problem, I tell her I'll wait up front. I go and wait up front. Couple minutes later.... Same hostess asks "do you still want those nachos?" (Are you kidding me?!?!) I tell her that I am waiting for the manager to cancel the order. She says "yeah I canceled it, the manager showed me how. Do you still want the nachos?" So I ask how long are they going to take? She says "a while" I ask "well how long is a while?" Hostess "I some know, a while " SO at this point I am not sure if I place another order if they will be ready tomorrow at 12:15 pm! I swear this is like a Saturday night live skit. For appetizers we had their loaded tater tots and cheese curds; their tater tots were absolutely delicious, I wish we requested to add birria, but even without the meat it was so so good- the tater tots were fried and crisp and the sauce with jalapeños and cheddar cheese were rich and indulgent. I tried their fish and chips and personally, it wasn't bad but it wasn't exactly amazing. I personally would absolutely go back to try their other foods but I personally wouldn't order their fish and chips again, the fish was fried crisp but lacked any more flavor (and I have had a LOT of fish and chips, I at least expect SOME flavor), and I substituted their house fries for truffle fries. The truffle fries were disappointing, not crisp and quite soggy when I received them. Their assortment of beers are fine, tried a flight of 4 different assortments and didn't find one that I particularly loved or wow'd me, but I appreciate the wide selection of local craft beers! The downside I will say was the overall wait and service- our server was so kind and nice, but for a Saturday evening it was clear their team was way understaffed. We arrived at 5:00 PM and left at 7:00 PM because we had waited 20 minutes at a time to be seen to get boxes and then again to get our check. Our server had to serve other tables around the restaurant in ADDITION to manning the bar. We came at 5:00 PM before dinner rush came and by the time we left we were in the thick of dinner rush which meant our server was held up majority of the time. Not his fault at all, I'm hoping that moment was a one off of bad scheduling and unable to find adequate coverage for staff. Overall, I'll return to try their other foods! I'm hoping the service will be more supportive for their staff so their servers aren't spread so thin.

The bacon jam was unique as well as the dollop of Ricotta on top. I liked the creamy texture of the ricotta on top. The other pizza that stood out was the New York Style white Pie. Simple, tasty and thinly crusted. It had a nice light garlicy taste with shredded basil on top of the mozzarella. We were celebrating my birthday and had a large party of 17. We stuck around for the Trivia Night which was a fun activity for the adults. I really liked the atmosphere-- a slew of different flavors of hard ciders, beer, wine to drink, talk with friends, and engage in a collaborative activity. I would definitely want to come back. The staff was friendly. I got to spin the wheel for my birthday and won a free beer. The server gave me a sample of the pickled pear hard cider before committing to a whole glass.
