This brewery is located in downtown Highwood. It is golf themed, but they could have played up the golf theme a bit more. When you walk in you pass the fermenter and tanks and it looks a bit messy. There are two rooms, bar seating and outdoor seating. We placed our order at the bar and with only one server on a busy Sunday afternoon, it took awhile to order. My husband tried the Shanktastic-Sour, it was very sour. I had the Swing Hard Seltzer - Arnold Palmer. They both were good ,but served in plastic cups. They do offer food and we tried Trio - Pretzel Bites, Elote Bites, and Fried Cheese Curds. The Elote Bites were overly fried and too crispy and dry . We also tried the mushroom potstickers with a chili sauce which were surprisingly good. Overall it was ok, but nothing stood out.

Golf themed brewery. It's a pretty unique concept, except in Highwood. Broken Tee of course has a golf theme going on, so if you like playing or watching, this may be a good place to come. Has a pretty good selection of beers on tap even though there's not a lot. There's also appetizers and other snacks. For a small brewery it has a good selection on tap to choose from. It's not like there's lots of room for a bunch, so they make up for it. There's still a pretty good variety. It's about $7 a pint, so not bad for a craft brewery. We liked the One Hop N Cit, which is a single hop IPA. Also there's food. It's about $7 for the Hummus With Pita Chips, which is simple yet good to munch on. Has other meaty items such as poutine and stuff from the fryer. They can take awhile getting stuff because it's a small place and there's not as much room. Has to be one of the better breweries around here. It's a small one but the beers are good quality and so is the food at pretty good prices. There's a few golf arcades so you can play inside whenever.

We found Broken Tee by chance and it's quickly become our go-to when we're in the area (and sometimes when we're not). We golf and love craft beer, so we were sold on the concept. The service is fantastic! The owner Paul is as nice as they come, he stopped to chat golf recs during a busy dinner rush. The food - I can't say enough! Everything we've had has been amazing, and we've tried quite a bit of the menu - buffalo wings, Philly cheesesteak, and Highwood hot chicken sandwich fall into our tops! Our favorite day just might be Sunday for their Sunday spins - bring a vinyl for them to play and get $ off your beers. If you haven't been-- GO!

    Really delicious burgers and fries!

This is a great brewery and the food is outstanding also. Second time here and the $14 burger, fries and choice of beer is delicious on a Tuesday night special. They must fry their fries in something special - taste delicious and so crispy. Most of all the bartenders are always super kind and they really make you feel welcome. I was very impressed tonight as they provided a baby bottle to another customer - now that's service! This place is really a gem and if you haven't tried it yet you should!

LOVE Broken Tee!! Lovely rotating beers and wonderful food! Most breweries have the stereotypical bar food, but Broken Tee has incredible food specials that also rotate. We were lucky enough to come in when Paul (the friendliest owner) was running a Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich that had house made dill ranch. Our usual go to is a Philly Cheesesteak on hoagie bread with an Italian Pilsner to pair with. We usually come in for Trivia night on Wednesdays, but they definitely have other weekly events, as well. The space is small and cozy, but it's family friendly and feels like a community watering hole.

Truly amazing local brewery and eatery! Staff is super friendly and attentive. It's a brewery, and their craft beers are all amazing. I had three different beer types (IPA, Belgian enkel, schwarzbier) and they all made me want to come back. The big surprise: the food was amazing at this brewery! The mushroom potstickers were the award winners, and the trio of pretzel bites, elote bites, and cheese curds kept everyone happy. I highly recommend this local establishment!!

They just opened so it seems like a limited beer menu with only 5 choices and some seltzers available but I'm sure they will add more with time. The quality is good. The employees are casual and friendly. They don't offer flights but again that might happen in the future. The location in downtown Highwood is great and they are right across from the train station. I love the simple industrial look but with funky pops of color design. I love the wood rough edge counter seating and they also have outdoor seating. I also love the open design where you can see the beer tanks. At first you don't know there is a whole back room to sit but it's a big place once informed. All in all great location, nice atmosphere, great seating options and quality beer. I love the fruited wit beer and the IPA's seemed the way I like them not too bitter. Will be back and hope to see some more beer choices in the future. Glad this place opened! :)

    Such a cool space!

Love the atmosphere! Very cool interior and great outdoor area. The small plates were yummy! The felafel were so crispy yet moist! Wonderful Cheese steak sandwich amazing fries. Great service! Loved it!

We had plenty of room and it was nice to have delicious beer, good food, and a pleasant view of this part of Highland Park. I've been here before when it had a different name, but it seems like little has changed. This is a well warn bar! Comfy seats at the bar and a smattering of booths and table with a homey feel - lots of wood and available light from the large front window. This is not a huge room by any means but it never felt crowded. Our group had mostly apps like guac and chips and a quesadilla or two. I tried a Kolsch lager and a Marzen lager both if which were a little cheaper than usual due to the Happy Hour Special of $5 a beer. Margaritas are $6 at Happy Hour. The beer was very good! We had a great waiter and being seated just a few feet from the bar meant no one went thirsty or hungry for long. On past visits I was seated on the back patio but we had rain on this most recent visit, and it's also March! (Patio season does not start in the Chicago area for at least another month or month and a half!) The patio is a nice little wood fenced in area with lots of tables and a back tap bar. Not sure if that set-up is still the same.... This is a great local bar with a lot of rustic, homey charm. I'd definitely recommend if you want good local beer in a friendly old-school bar.

It's spacious and a super cool venue, which was used for my daughter's high school fundraiser last weekend. I visited Double Clutch twice within one week. The first was a meeting held at the venue right before the event where everyone got to enjoy some beer (except those of us who don't love beer and opted for water) and some of the food that would be served at the event the following weekend. I munched on some turnbuckle pretzels, fried buffalo bites and cauli wings- all were pretty good! A few days later we sold out with a 300 person event, although honestly we could have fit way more in the space because there was plenty of room to move around. The band Go Ask Your Mum was playing lots of fun 80s and 90s hits, there was a buffet of the food we had tried a few days beforehand and the bar was busy. I opted for wine, which was good. The acoustics here aren't great, which i noticed during the meeting and during the event. The band was fun to listen to, but i could hardly hear anyone i was speaking to. But that's really my only complaint since it's a great space!

The bacon jam was unique as well as the dollop of Ricotta on top. I liked the creamy texture of the ricotta on top. The other pizza that stood out was the New York Style white Pie. Simple, tasty and thinly crusted. It had a nice light garlicy taste with shredded basil on top of the mozzarella. We were celebrating my birthday and had a large party of 17. We stuck around for the Trivia Night which was a fun activity for the adults. I really liked the atmosphere-- a slew of different flavors of hard ciders, beer, wine to drink, talk with friends, and engage in a collaborative activity. I would definitely want to come back. The staff was friendly. I got to spin the wheel for my birthday and won a free beer. The server gave me a sample of the pickled pear hard cider before committing to a whole glass. I usually don't drink alcohol, but I enjoyed it. It felt appropriate to kick off the summer with this fruity beverage!
