Low key and fun. Enjoyable on an early evening to play some games and relax with friends.

Tees have nice distance choices to fit your skill level. Interesting holes with water carry on a couple. Just ask my buddy who hit a few in the water.... on the same hole. :-) Our kids loved the pool area. Zero depth pool. Costs about $100 per round with cart on weekends for a guest. No caddy required. Driving range is standard. Restaurant has a great menu including a kids menu. Kids menu is inexpensive. Normal menu is typical price for country club. Bar has a nice elevated view of the course.

We originally worked with Lisa, who was great, but when she was promoted, we were handed over to Megan, and things quickly went downhill. Megan was unprofessional, often agreeing to things in person only to change them over email, and she completely overturned agreements we had already solidified with Lisa. For example, our originally agreed-upon midnight end time was changed, and despite reaching a verbal compromise with Megan to play our last song at 11:45 PM, she stopped our wedding early at 11:30 PM anyway. On the day of the wedding, a guest actually found a small frog in her salad, and instead of taking responsibility, Megan was entirely dismissive. We also dealt with billing miscommunications that cost us over $1,000 for a tasting, though I will give the venue credit for eventually issuing a $500 credit to partially make up for it. To any couples looking to book this venue, be prepared to deal with a lot of worry and make sure you get everything in writing. Despite all of these major issues, we refused to let outside people ruin our experience and still had a great wedding, which is a reminder that regardless of where you do it, you should always just focus on enjoying the moment.

I randomly stumbled upon this new business from Kidslist and we decided to check it out mid-week…read more Dreamland Kids is not very visible from the outside and is easy to miss. They are situated between Abbington Distinctive Banquets and Walmart. A more appealing and eye-catching sign would be helpful. They are open for open play on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM at $14 per child. Dreamland Kids is an ideal indoor play center for young children up to six years old. It is a shoe-free zone but if you forget to bring your socks, they can provide non-slip socks. There are a few small cubbies to place your belongings and a few small tables with chairs for parents to sit and relax. Water and coffee are complimentary. There is no food available for purchase and customers are welcome to bring outside food and beverages. We met up with a friend and her two daughters here on a Wednesday. Our two families' four girls enjoyed the soft-play carousel and the ball pit with a climbing structure and slide in the main room. The general color scheme is very pink and pastel so that was very appealing to our girls. The slide is tubular and partially see-through so we can see our girls coming down the slide without going into the ball pit. There are two giraffe bouncy hoppers, one pink and one yellow, and two sit-to-stand vehicles, one white and one blue. Our girls took turns playing with those as well. Beyond this area, you will find a toddler room with a small slide, train table, and toys such as wooden ice cream. We basically had the whole place to ourselves. All of our girls are under the age of five and we spent approximately two hours there. When we were done playing, the owner let all four girls pick a little prize out of their box. It was a nice touch and it made leaving easier for the little ones.

My hubby and I went to a beautiful wedding at the Royal Melbourne Country Club this Labor Day…read moreweekend. The bride was a previous co-worker of my hubby's, and she had re-scheduled her wedding twice in 2 years because of the Pandemic. It finally happened yesterday without a hitch! The wedding ceremony was at the beautiful outdoor lawn area, with a simple elegant setup under a very big tree. When anything is hosted outdoors, cooperative weather is almost everything. We were fortunate that the rain held off and it was not hot. When the bride was walking down the aisle, it so happened that a pair of cranes flew over the sky the same direction as the bride! I got chills! I am so happy for her! The cocktail hour after the ceremony was on a terrace overlooking the golf course, so, it was pretty nice! The bartender that I encountered was very friendly and accommodating. I just wanted juices with not a lot of ice, he happily mixed 4 differently kinds of fruit juices for me, and it tasted and looked good! The banquet room was very spacious and elegant looking. Food was not bad. The Butternut Squash Soup was nice and creamy. I especially like the Amalfi Salad with balsamic emulsion, that the ingredients were very fresh. The main course might be the weakest out of all the food. I picked the Petite Filet and Parmesan Crusted Chicken Breast combo, that the petite filet was very small even to a petite lady, and it was medium well and leaning towards a bit too dry and coarse. The taste was good though. The other choice was Grilled Canadian Salmon that I cannot comment on. Both choices were served with dauphinoise potatoes, grilled Brussels sprouts, and carrots. A couple of the carrots were very hard. The wedding cake was really good, moist and fluffy, with very smooth and creamy frosting! There was also a nice dessert table with an assortment of sweets. The overall serve staff was young and quite efficient, with only a couple of waiters/busboys who would need more experience. Only one young waiter who served me coffee left a great impression of being friendly and attentive. I guess it is hard when there is a big wedding party to serve. All in all, it is a nice place to host a wedding, and as a guest, I did enjoy it!

Working with Jessica Trzop leading up to the event was easy and efficient; she had excellent customer service and ensured that everything we needed was accounted for. Upon arrival, I was surprised to not have known that someone else would be caring for us on the day of the event. I'm wondering if this shift caused things to be lost in communication, as we didn't have things such as the P.A. System and microphone set up, A-frame stands for our welcome sign, or a welcome table. We pivoted and worked through it. Our bartender was so grumpy and passive aggressive. But there was nothing to do about that in the moment either so we tried to kill her with kindness and shake it off. Overall, it ended up being a beautiful shower, the food was excellent, and we were able to persevere through the few hiccups we had.
