I was impressed with the care that went into the design of the these spaces. The rooftop restaurant and bar are great facilities. While we toured the area there was a yoga and juice party going on. The prices ended up being in the upper end of the price range we had. Then the saleswoman we had been working with told us that the prices did not include gratuity or taxes. This put the venue out of our price range.

I would describe it as wanting to be a boutique hotel but misses the mark in several areas. One example; orchids and plants looked beautiful at first glance but upon closer inspection they're all fake and looked cheap close-up. Our first night was delightful. We ate dinner on the rooftop and it was a beautiful night. We each got the filet mignon and it was delicious. Cooked to perfection with a peppercorn sauce that added just the right amount of complimentary flavors. Our 2nd floor room was pretty bad. It looked out onto machinery. They should put some kind of decorative decal on the windows so you can open the shade for light without having to look at the monstrosity beyond. It was next to the housekeeping closet and elevator bank. It was noisy. The Ferrero Rocher candies were there upon arrival, but were never replenished (we stayed 3 nights.) We never received turndown service, even though they advertise that. Also, when they cleaned the room (upon request) they didn't replenish clean glasses, coffee pods, additional toilet paper. Ice machine on our floor never looked like it was turned on. We had to go to lobby for ice. Regarding lobby reception staff; one woman was just unpleasant, never smiled, seemed put off if you asked a question. On the other hand, a man who worked nights was just delightfully helpful, a treasure. A third woman who checked us in was nice, friendly and witty. The rooftop was closed for events for 2 of the 3 nights we were there. It was never clear to us if we had access to the rooftop before/after the events. But, it was the only place you could go to hang outside your room besides the lobby. The beds were INSANELY comfy. This was my favorite part of the stay. Everything was clean and there were handy charging ports on each side of the bedside table. The bathroom door was a sliding full length mirror which was great. I just wish there was a way to lock it. Loved the rainfall shower head that easily switched to a handheld spray! Very simple to use. Loved it!

My wife and I had our wedding here this weekend and I could not speak higher praise of LaMirage…read more We do not know how to even begin to properly convey how grateful we are. A thousand thank yous would not be enough for the incredible job LaMirage did this weekend. They have our never ending appreciation for the amazing work they did for us; our wedding was everything we had envisioned and much, much more. When we started considering venues, we knew Lamirage would do an excellent job as both of us had family that had married here before. This is a staple Eastern European venue in the Chicago area and its hard to find someone in this community who has NOT been here. Still we had a lot to consider, and chief among them was cost. Ruslan worked with us on the budget and let us tailor the perfect reception that was a good balance of decadant and affordable. He offered very good advice on what to keep, what we could substitute, and what we could do without entirely. He was very objective and did not pressure us into adding anything we did not want. In the months leading up to the event, our correspondance was with Victoria. When the details all started to get jumbled in our minds, she was able to keep everything straight. She understood that this was our first time planning a wedding and there was just so much we didn't know to do. We probably made her job very difficult but she was only ever calm and collected, always pointing us in the right direction and reassuring us that things will all work out. I think what my wife and I are most impressed with is how smoothly everything came together on the day of. I know it was not easy with an event that had so many moving parts, so many different points of contacts; I'm certain that it seemed like they were all planning their own seperate weddings! We recognize all the accomodations, flexibility, and attention to detail they had to exhibit to make the day go smoothly and certainly there was so much more behind the scenes we couldn't even comprehend; they shielded us from any problems that developed and for that their efforts will be remembered forever. The food was incredible. We of course could barely find time to eat a thing; we stuffed ourselves on pelmeyni and garlic potatoes (amazing!) between bouts of toasts and dancing but couldn't find time to try everything. On the next day from what we took home everything tasted great! If that was what was LEFT OVER, I can only imagine how good the things that got gobbled up tasted. Of course this is all Russian Banquet style of food. If you are at one of these events, this is what to expect. I'm sure there are many people out there who had no idea what they were signing up for; your typical "chicken or fish?" reception is not what you are here for! The accomodations are also top notch here. There is a seperate locking bridal suite with a private bathroom, a safe, and constantly repleneshed pitchers of refreshments. Never could I have predicted how useful that would be. They also had hired security ensuring the gift table was always monitored. That is a detail we did not even know to consider and Lamirage took care of it. We could not be happier with our choice of venue. Our only reservation when we were picking LaMirage was the fact that SOO many of our family members had already been wed there, but from our very first meeting with Ruslan, we felt comfortable knowing that no effort would be spared to make the day unique to us, and that is exactly how it was! We will never hesitate for one moment in recommending LaMirage to our family, friends, and hopefully one day, our children! Thank you to all the Lamirage staff from the bottom of our hearts.

It was an amazing night thanks to the great food and entertainment provided by the owner Konrad and the rest of the staff of Gala Banquets. The area is spacious and elegant. We had approximately 90 people both Polish and American attend with children and there was still plenty of space to eat and dance the night away. This is an excellent place for all events. I especially appreciated the changing table in the bathrooms. Finding parking in the city can be rough. However, Gala Banquets offers free valet parking and has arranged overflow parking across the street. The food was amazing! We got the Platinum Package and the food never stopped coming. My personal favorite was the mushroom soup, but we also had a full dinner complete with Pierogis, Salads, Meats, and Ice cream. Additional appetizers of Salmon, Tatar, Galareta , various meats, deserts and others were severed after the meal. The staff was very friendly and courteous ensuring all our guests were happy and well taken care of throughout the night. Our friends and family were talking about the style and class of the banquet hall for days after. An open bar is a must at most parties and Gala Banquets will not let you down. It is a full bar including top shelf liquors, wines and beer. DJ Leon, recommended by Gala Banquets was amazing. During the meal he entertained the kids with music, games, and gifts. He played a variety of music that kept everyone on the dance floor. I cannot say enough about Gala Banquets and DJ Leon. They even offer complimentary centerpieces and wedding card boxes, which is a thoughtful bonus if you're trying to keep decor simple or on budget. The food--absolutely delicious.
