The host and waiters are top tier and extremely knowledgeable. Something we wish we knew before going is that it is a pre fixe menu. We went for the 6 course with 6 wine paring. Everything was exquisitely prepared and had very unique taste. Until we got to the pigeon... which was definitely not our favorite. :x The desserts were some of the best we've ever had. It was definitely a dining "experience". Not a place to go to have a few pints with your pals and get a hearty steak. But if you're an adventurous eater and willing to spend around $500 for a 2 person dinner, then it's worth checking out. Also I think it is worth mentioning again, the staff were amazing.

The food was really good too, we tried the following: Tuna Tartar (~€13), my favorite appetizer here by far, refreshing and the flavors are balanced and great My friend got the cumin ribs (€36), fall off the bone, my friend loved it Friend rice cakes (~€8), I liked it, but my friend didn't like the sauce, it was too sweet for them Miso Salmon (~€15), super good, nice and refreshing Tuna Boa (€18), it was crispy, and all but it wasn't for me, like I didn't like it at all, the manager was great and got me a replacement that I preferred instead. It was refreshing to get American quality customer service here in Dublin. We honestly just stumbled upon Harry's as we were starving but hadn't committed to anywhere as we were walking and just ensuring first we could find a restaurant close to where we'd be watching a show later that evening. Harry's wasn't busy on a Friday at 5pm so we thought why not? The interior is dark and cozy. They have an impressively large bar and plenty of seating outside or downstairs in the main dining & bar area. Service was fine. Our waiter seemed to be new but he took our order promptly and got us everything we needed quickly which was appreciated as we were on a time crunch. I wouldn't say the service was particularly special but efficient definitely. Harry's has some classic Irish meals but also just a large American multi-cultural comfort food menu. Embarrassed to say instead of some lovely stews or fish n chips, we eagerly ordered nachos and pasta lol. Sometimes you just need a taste of home even when on vacation. The nachos were average but hit the spot for that craving. I had the pasta Toscana which had a surprisingly good and creamy sauce which some chicken and bacon. I was surprised that it was a solid 3.5/5 knowing this isn't a classic or normal dish to order. Everything hit the spot and was filling. Great cocktail menu too. Really I feel like coming here for drinks and appetizers is the way to go. My cocktail was the Harry Spritz and it was fantastic. Great drinks here and enough bartenders behind the bar to keep the drinks flowing :)

It's a little more laid back than the other pubs in the area, yet, a tad higher scale - *almost* on the swanky side of things. It's actually more of a specialty cocktail bar and restaurant. Plenty of comfy leather booths and chairs to lounge around in, so it was a lot more comfortable and less crowded than the surrounding pubs. It started getting busy and the music got loud around 11:30pm, but it was still fun, and the bartenders did a good job taking care of business and slinging those drinks, even though they were busy. My only gripe - they have a bathroom attendant - I hate that with a passion folks... I'm perfectly capable of turning the faucet on, getting my own soap and getting my own paper towels. I don't need this sort of interaction in the bathroom. I'm a grown up. Other than that, Harry's is a great place. I only wish we had time to have a meal there while we were in Dublin. Their menu looks interesting. Cheers!

SO, Without further adue, let's lay into armPitts Brother's BBQ... It was a Saturday morning when uncle Phil arrived at my door, 6am as agreed, the gentlemen are back in Ireland so we thought we'd celebrate with a full day drug fueled pig out. No, I'm not talking about the kind you might arrange with the chubster mauling her lipstick stained fish bowl glass in Whelans at the end of an evening of debauchery.. I'm a married man now, Sir.. No, we were on a mission to consume as much smoked dead animal, coffee, pints, and antibiotics as we could before his dad came to collect him. FOR HE IS A MAN OF LIMERICK, and a kind soul - rare to find in those westerly parts. My spouse and sprog were also dressed for social warfare determined to keep up with the appetite of the warlords recently returned to the Fatherland.. Seated in the middle of the hall, a pedestal raised for the show ahead. My woman spotted her kin working the rounds and bent up to query her nationality. A match! A southerly piriguete ready to do our bidding and translate everything off the menu - CORN ON THE COBS for everyone in the audience. Do I have your attention?! Do I still have your attention? .. my meat is getting cold resting on the table while the kitchen gremlins in the back fetch water for the table next to us.. Eventually, it arrives, and I'm not surprised.. It's exactly what I ordered.. The same brisket that keeps popping up on my youtube feed every time I look for bbq recipes.. yeah, OK, it's grand, it melts in my face.. job done. I'll take the bloating diarrhoea to go, please, and a can of Fantana for the babee.. Hold up, there's 1 plate not touched.. Uncle Phil's better half. Well my friends.. this is where yelp comes in.. the customer is king in the world.. You! small businesses.. You will never be able to silence the disgruntled pedestrians.. I hearby call upon all mammals of Dublin City and visiting beasts of Limerick, do not accept the surcharge! Also, ask for water when you walk in, all the free sauces and all the kings men - I'm gonna shit up the walls in your restroom again.. and fill my bags with complimentary toilet paper! Maybe even a lucozade bottle of soap while I'm there.. Today, a valuable lesson was learned.. Small businesses are ready for you when you walk in the door, like lambs walking into a slaughterhouse.. how didn't we see it coming.. we all know the landlords have em all by the balls, so they gotta pass it on to us and squeeze you, we're at the bottom of a pile of sweaty men, and when it's lunch time, it's crunch time.. but now.. I'm pissing upstream.. Next stop is Bah33 for my wife's birthday.. all you can eat.. mother fcukers.. I'm coming for you.. I'm gonna eat the day before to stretch my stomach, then eat nothing on the day, just hit the park beforehand for a run and a doobskin. Is there a limit on how much tap water they'll allow you? Cos I'm filling up a 5L.. custom briefs to keep tight you take aways around your saucey ghoulies.. the revolution is here and will be televised! The revolution starts neigh! Speak out and cream out! I won't stop until all small businesses are shut and we're all cooking Nigella and ordering bulk meat on the Internet! Why eat out for 30 bills when you can spend that on poteen and kill your own venison in Phoenix Park! I'm telling ye, there's some quare things in Dublin- Between Howth and Crumlin, down in ringsend there's a 3 legged cat.

I'm happy we didn't because we really enjoyed the atmosphere. I know an American going to a new American restaurant in Ireland is a little bit weird maybe not, but the music they were playing was pretty good. It was very old-school Americano kind of style. Nothing like it is today. So if you want to get the nostalgia of a little bit of America of what it used to be definitely come on in and check it out. We were greeted by the bartender look like he was the only one taking care of everybody. Came up and told us the special and the special that we chose was the fish and chips. This place is really great because not only do you get the fish and chips at a great deal you get a pint of beer included! I believe it came out to be about €20 but that has been the best deal that I could get the whole time I was in Ireland! My partner ordered a tonic and asked for some lime and was provided was a big bottle of lime juice. Check out the photo. The fish came out with two pieces. They were perfectly flaky, and the french fries were actually pretty crispy, unlike some places we visited in Ireland the french fries were really floppy and were baked rather than deep-fried. There are different specials on the lunch menu and I believe that the lunch menu goes until 5 PM. So if you're looking for a little bit of nostalgia and a great deal, check this place out while you're walking through the streets.
