    Looking outside
    Todd R.

Found this place on my walk. Woke and needed coffee and some breakfast. It does not really stick out. Lady was friendly but does want to take the time to explain. The sandwich is made to order and was decent. I found some tapatio so added for some spice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]No music no restrooms you are encouraged to just hang out I think that is good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They provide a news paper outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A lot of locals come here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Friendly staff and tasty bagels. Got two dozen for a Sunday brunch. Ordered in advance and the bagels were ready in time. Everyone enjoyed the bagels.

    Everything Bagel Breakfast Sandwich
    Zan L.

Stopped in for my first time recently and enjoyed it, I have zero complaints. It's located in a small strip mall with free parking out front. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's quite small on the inside, with only a few tables to eat inside but mostly this is a to-go type of place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was happy to see that they have a lot of great bagel and drink flavor options. For this visit, I actually opted to do a bagel breakfast sandwich, which is something I don't usually do and really enjoyed it. I got it on the Everything Bagel and thought it was great. The woman behind the counter was a bit rushed and not super polite, but still everything was prepared quickly and exactly as I ordered, and I would stop in again.

    Turkey Sandwich on Everything Bagel
    John E.

Based on Yelp reviews I stopped on my way out of town for their turkey sandwich on a toasted everything bagel. Bagel was fresh, perfectly toasted. Sandwich was excellent, I really liked the sliced cucumbers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute place, staff were very friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely be back.

    2 bagels x $0.15 = $0.30
    Big M.

They charge $0.15 (fifteen cents) to TOAST the 2 EXTRA bagels. Not a plain bagel, a (almost) $20 lox top-of-the-line bagel. Read again, if you are shocked as I was when I heard it first. At this point, it doesn't matter if the bagel is good or not (it isn't), if the sandwich was amazing or not (it wasn't), I'm not coming back. The thought process to get the idea and the moral campos allowing one to actually charge that should not be near a food establishment. What's next? Charging customers for the paper bag for to-go orders? In short, Ridiculous.

Taste good but they forgot my avocado in my sandwich. Otherwise service was good. Went with the recommendation of the breakfast sandwich

Most amazing bagel with eggs, bacon, and American cheese!
    Jessica S.

Every time I have been there it has been absolutely amazing. Every. Single. Time. This is a family owned business I'm pretty sure, and they are so sweet. Today I went and had the most amazing bacon, egg, and cheese salt bagel. I also recommend their freshly squeezed orange juice, man it's amazing. They also have a little spot in the shop spotlighting a small creator that does keychains and bracelets, so well you're there, you can also buy something cute for your wrists or keys! The service is great! Food comes out fast, people are nice, and they make sure they get everything right! Will definitely be coming back, thanks Bueller's! Amazing bagels!

We've been ordering bagels and pastries for our office on a weekly basis for the last ~3 years from Bueller's Bagels and everyone loves them. The bagels and pastries are always fresh and delicious, and they have a great selection of cream cheeses available. Not only do they make great bagels and pastries, but their service is amazing. Each time we need an order adjustment or help with anything, the owner Maria is always so friendly and helpful. They always deliver on time and with a smile, and everyone in our office is very appreciative of their services! Highly recommend!

    Pretzel bagel

This is the best bagel I've ever had. The pretzel bagel is delicious and crispy and so good. I highly recommend this is a very unique bagel and exactly what I was looking for in my life. The service is also amazing. They have a really good attitude and they make the food really quickly no long waits good vibes.

Bagel with spread, cherry tomatoes and spinach
    Daniel B.

Service is a heckuva lot faster on weekdays; be prepared for long-wait times on the weekends -- especially Sundays. The bagels are superbly sublime. Not terrible. But not memorable either. They served my bagel with a tomato and some basil. I'm not sure if my situation was unique, but I appreciated the presentation.

It's clear that their kitchen and staff valued attention to detail, and was more than considerate of a luxe dining experience. I loved my farmers market margarita, and seed smoke mezcal cocktail, they were not overly boozy, but had been made with an even blend of flavor and dressed with complimentary ingredients. It remains a unique addition to the neighborhood, as well as a good place to grab some interesting dishes. Since the opening of this particular business, the Zinc chain has opened in a few other locations. Those locations are much newer in not only their establishment but their design. This is not to say that this is still not an interesting, well-designed business, but, with time, it has become a little bit rundown. I hate to say it, but that is the truth. This location could really use an update and perhaps a deep cleaning. I was, in fact, kind of surprised at the condition of this business, for example, on the way towards their restrooms. From my opinion, it needs an clean up and an update. Also, the litter that surrounded some of the outdoor tables where I was sitting at my most recent visit was very surprising. This is just something to keep in mind if you're coming here for your first visit. In terms of what they offer for food, though it has evolved a bit over the years, they still have a great, heath-based menu, with some very interesting choices. For all of you vegetarians and vegans out there, you will, for sure, be able to find some tasty food to eat. Once upon a time, this restaurant was impacted with tons and tons of people. It was constantly full with people either going to the bakery and/or sitting down for table service. Shortly past their opening each day, there would be a line of people waiting for service. This seems to have changed, however. Meaning, if you're looking for an interesting place to eat, with some good dishes, at the far Southeast side of DTLA, near the lofts district, and you want a place without a long wait to get a table and/or your food, this may still be your place to go.

If it's your first time visiting Sampa, you have to be open minded towards the concept itself. Yes, the dishes here are smaller in portion and costs more than your typical fast casual spot. All the servers here are attentive and offer to help with what to order if you're unsure. For dinner, the Crispy Pasta is their take on crispy pata but served with spinach tagliatelle. I loved all of the colors in the rice, which include the fried pork belly, the golden egg yolks, and the pigments of the atchara (atchara: pickled vegetables such as papaya, scallions, and carrots). When I took my first bite of the fried rice, the blend of all of them together was scrumptious! Yes order this dish! 5/5 STEAKSILOG: I would order just the steak alone! The skirt steak was savory, juicy, and mouthwatering! Yummy! 4.5/5 Kare Kare Tamales: This dish was delicious! The oxtail was tender and the peanut sauce paired well with the savoriness. 4/5 CHICKEN AND PANDAN WAFFLE: This plate was their take on chicken and waffles. The pandan flavor was there, but I wish the waffle was thick, instead it had a crispy thin cookie like texture. 3.5/5 DRINKS: Bartender has skills! Beauty in the booze! But seating is still comfortable and not stuffy / pretentious. The food is truly above average even amongst restaurants of similar caliber. Some stand outs from the appetizers: the biscuits, served warm, so soft and buttery with the perfect spreads. The albacore spread. Their salads are actually great (this is coming from me, usually a salad hater.) The potato appetizers. Now from the entrees: I was pretty shocked by the eggs benedict popover and the bacon steak. Namely because these are generally pretty straightforward brunch dishes, but they were just so much better here than other places I've had them. I don't know what the secret is for the benedict popover - is it something they put in the benedict sauce? The way the ingredients come together? Whatever it is, it's perfect. For the bacon steak - it cut like butter, and wasn't too salty, sweet, or chewy / thick. So good! The service has also been great here each time I've come, both in a large party (10+ people) and in a small group. The food somehow still comes out when you expect it to and the staff is friendly and helpful. Reservations recommended especially for big groups!
