This was a roller coaster of emotions. Cute little country market with a grab and go box (there was a grill guy so I am pretty certain I could have ordered something from him). Steak, egg & cheese sandwich and hash browns for under $10. The hash browns were hard as rocks. I liked the big soft roll for my sandwich. Good amount of eggs. Decent amount of meat but it was a touch dry. Definitely needed some seasoning or on a everything bagel. Very nice guy (doing a lot and) running the cash register. Holy Santa sh!t. Hold on to your seatbelt, because this is gonna be a delicious ride. First off......the inside is awesome. Exposed wood beams, got like a 1930's vibe going on with all the memorabilia everywhere. The breakfast sandwiches are next level. Destroys anything you could find at WaWa. The coffee is strong and they have fresh doughnuts right by the register just staring at you. Lunch- dear good they have a half pound hot dog. You want the biggest chilli dog on the East Coast? Yep. They got it. I normally get a cheesesteak with mushrooms, onions, and chopped bacon. I've ordered this a few times and have had random people in their go "dammm that sounds good. I'll take one too". The best chicken pot pie (chicken and flat dumplings) in the area and a wide variety of tasty breakfast sandwiches. Tje chorizo, egg, and cheese and the hot Italian sausage, egg, and cheese are very good. I hear the other menu items are good, too. Friendly, neighborhood option for takeout. read more

I love, love, love, Bud's. Let's start with the coffee, brewed fresh day or night and wonderful. The sandwiches are huge. The half can feed 2 people unless your really hungry. Awesome cheese steaks and French fries. They update the menu frequently and recently added Brazilian dumplings that are amazing!!! Try the Coxina, chicken croquets. They have an assortment of hard to find old fashioned candies, my parents love to come in and load up. They open early so are great before trips like the beach for sandwich's. The staff is like family. Each one is super friendly and go out of their way to make you feel like you are the most important person in the world. If your in the neighborhood, stop by. The early morning sky is dark and the lighting in front of Bud's market struggles to illuminate the signage bearing the store's name and logo- the logo which features a cartoon likeness of the man himself. Bud is inside. I can feel his presence. His aura of friendliness can be felt even out here in the parking lot. Friends and coworkers who come here all tell me they achieved a first-name-basis relationship with Bud after only a visit or two. "He comes right out from behind the counter and introduces himself", they all say. As of yet, I have failed to reach such a status despite the fact that this has got to be my fourth or fifth visit. As of this morning, I'm still just, "Buddy" or sometimes, "Partner" in Bud's eyes. There was that one time, however, that Bud recalled that I ordered a breakfast sandwich on my prior visit and asked if it was okay. The man's people skills are undeniably off the charts. Why, then, hasn't he introduced himself to me as he has done with so many others? Is it me? It's time to go inside and find out if today's the day. I make my way through the door and the bell clangs, signalling my arrival. Bud's aura grows stronger. I pass the newspapers neatly stacked and make my way towards the counter which comes into view more and more with each step. I can now taste it. The first thing I notice is the Jeff cap that sits atop Bud's head. Behold! There he stands in all his friendliness. No one else is around. I think to myself, "I know your name. But do you know mine"? We exchange "good mornings" and I pick out a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit, freshly made by Bud's hands and waiting under a lamp. He asks if I would like anything else as Rihanna's "What's my name" is playing in my mind. Coffee. I'd like a small coffee with cream and sugar. No one pours their own coffee at Bud's Market. He does it for you. He rings me up. I feel that the opportunity is escaping. He looks up as he gives me my change. "Do it! Do it", I'm screaming inside. "Thanks a lot, Buddy" is what I get. Dejection. Today will not be the day. But I will be back. The breakfast sandwiches are good and the coffee is fresh. And, of couse, Bud's aura will always beckon. read more

Bud's is a great market and especially good for fresh sandwiches. One of my all time favorite Cheesesteaks resides here along with a very good breakfast sandwich. They are very generous with the meat allotment. There is also a very nice old radio playing here. I would love to see the video rental section make a come back. read more

I came to the area for work and discovered this gem. This place is amazing! The local guys swear by this place. They have the little odds and ends I needed and a good selection of deli meets. They also have hot and cold subs that are insanely delicious. The breakfasts sandwiches are fantastic. I'm now officially addicted to bud's market. I'm eating here morning and evening 5 days a week, sometimes 6 or 7 days. I highly recommend this wonderful place. read more

They refuse to deliver to Salem because of the "element". I must be an undesirable client- you know, a homeowner 3 miles away who wants to spend money and have food delivered. The owner told me that he is a Christian and this entire exchange just flummoxed me. I know exactly what he meant and it offended me. I'll change my review when Bud's Market becomes colorblind and delivers to Salem. read more

Bud's Market has good coffee, subs, and sandwiches. They are also a convience store so when you run out of milk and eggs or want a snack you can run there rather than going to the grocery store. Their employees are pleasant. read more
