Massive hoagie. Just so well built and tastes. The meatball was very good. Nice large meatballs, provolone cheese, sauced well. It went down slowly. read more

We stopped for lunch on the way to our hotel our first day in the area. We got a chicken caprese sandwich. It was huge. It was decent but nothing special. I would potentially return to try some else. It's a small deli with a few tables for seating. read more

So much sandwich for so little cost! And not only that, the sandwich is packed with meat and toppings. It tastes fresh and delish. Highly recommend. read more

Best food, always busy. Great service, friendly staff. They always smile, during busy and fast times.

I only recommend ordering over the phone from this place. It's taken me many incorrect orders to realize they don't look at specifications/modifications when orders are placed online or through DoorDash. My latest order had the wrong sauce for my cheese curds and the wrong cheese for my sandwich even though the receipt very clearly states what was ordered. I wish they would get it together because the food, when right, is decent. read more

I have been going to the Italian Kitchen for over 20 years. So has my family. Late last year 2025 I stopped and purchased a sub and some other items which I always do when I am in Pennsville. I was about 10 miles away when I noticed that my sub was not what I had ordered. I called there and told them. The woman that I spoke to was extremely nice, took my name and said the next time I was there to give my name and I would get a free sub. This past Friday (2-6-26)I went there, gave them my name and they said I wasn't in the system. I said to the lady do I look like the type of person that is going to come in here and try to get a free sub. I asked if the owner was there and she said yes. I asked to speak with her. She went into the kitchen and I could see her talking to the owner. She refused to come out. I told the lady that I was speaking with that I knew that it wasn't her fought but the worse thing was that the owner wouldn't even come out and speak to a long time customer and that really sucks! She lost my business, my family's business and many friends of mine! I am dumb founded that anyone can do this to a customer. PATHETIC is the best way to describe it! read more

Cheesesteak was huge! But more importantly it was good. Quality of the meat seemed good. Chopped nicely. Probably could have used a little more cheese because of how much meat was on it. Meat was seasoned nicely. Roll was very good and held up well under the pressure of all the meat. Pepperoni bites were nothing special in my opinion. Good selection of individual desserts. Place seemed clean to me read more

Wonderful place to stop for lunch and all your Italian specialty treats. Worth getting off the highway and stopping for lunch in this wonderful little slice of heaven. The Stromboli was outta this world ! The other sandwiches were sofa king amazing that we spent a hour there . Great desserts to eat in or out. Nice little sitting area. Lots of Italian specialty treats to take home with you . And the staff were a bunch of just really nice ladies that made the place even more special read more

What can I really say... Salem county has only one real cheesesteak and Italian sub/hoagie spot and this is it. Not only do they give you the bang for your buck but the quality is right there with it. Really this stop is the only reason I would stop in Salem county to be honest. They make tons of fresh homemade goodness. This is a pure indulgence stop but so worth it. I would Challenge the best of the best in Philadelphia with "Gino's Italian special". The only thing that sandwich is missing is a top shelf designer roll but other than that, it's better then them all! Not saying the roll is bad. I just preferred the seeded Sarcone roll over everything and on this bad boy would be unreal. A lot of the baked goods I have tried there also were very good. I highly recommend if your a cheesesteak or Italian hoagie fan that you put this on the list of must stops. Best of Salem county! read more

Driven past this place several times and finally stopped. Had a large roast Italian pork. While not quite diNic's or John's roast pork, it was huge and yummy. My friend and I shared the large and it stuffed us. Now that I tried it, I will be back for another as it was very good! There are a few tables to eat at as it seems more of a takeout place. Staff were very friendly. read more

Excellent food. We had them cater our Christmas dinner and it was fantastic! My wife and I are from Delaware but will be using them every time that we entertain. The trays were very easy to serve. The staff there was excellent as well. read more

If it's good enough for Bruce Willis, it's good enough for me! So I'm/we're occasionally spoiled at work by drug reps. Today's brought a fabulously scrumptious array of stromboli, pizza turnovers, salads and brownies from Italian Kitchen. He's the one who told me that Bruce Willis is the one who said "best cheesesteak around"! I have a feeling Bruce is right based on the REALLY REALLY good chicken Stromboli (with red peppers, cheese and a pesto sauce). Excellent dough too and the perfect ratio of cheese :) This thing was deceivingly big and stuffed!!! Busy day or I would've snapped a drool-worthy picture of our sick spread! God only knows if and when I'd ever be "down here" but if so - I'm making a spcial trip!!! y u m read more

This place looks really good. You are impressed when you walk in. Amazing spread of bakery items and lots of yummy looking stuff available. If only ratings were based on appearance. Ordered two sandwiches to eat in. Expensive but big and appear to be worth the price. Until you take it bite. Cold cheesesteak. For dine in. Staff didn't really care. A few bites was more than enough. Lesson learned, never again. read more

Italian Kitchen has to be on your Cheesesteak bucket list. Roll is awesome. Meat is plentiful, chopped and flavorful. Cheese is melted perfectly throughout the meat. You should only eat half of your CS because they have an awesome dessert selection. Not a fan of breaded wings. Staff was super nice. All young enthusiasts. Love that. However, I prefer my food to be as great as the staff. Wings were fresh but I just dont like to dip in hot sauce n then dip in blue cheese. It's a lose lose situation for me. I haven't tried the pizza so I'm not rating them horrible. read more

I love this place, but it is rare I receive my food as ordered. My order is consistently wrong. I say no tomato and I get tomato. I saw oil and vinegar on the side, I received no oil and vinegar. I say onions on half , whole thing covered in onions. I'm not sure where communication breaks down, but 43.00 of food and it's all wrong , for the 20th time, is frustrating. I clearly order my food, the order is repeated, once picked up.. something is missing, added or just completely wrong. I hope they fix this issue soon. 10 years and never had an issue until recently. read more

Best pizza. Hoagies have enough lunch meat for two sandwiches. Cheese steak pie scrumptious. All at very reasonable prices. Home baked desserts to finish ok off meal. Apple pie with caramel and walnuts my favorite. Once you eat their you vfc will be hooked. read more

Great for a quick bite! Seems like a lot of their desserts and salads are store bought.

These people obviously don't care about their customers anymore. They get to many to care if one is unsatisfied. Bought a can of whipped cream and it didn't work. Went to return it and older woman banged it on the counter and low and behold it worked after she emptied half the can into the trash can to "PROVE" it worked. Refused to take it back as it was already open. Well how do you think I knew it didn't work? duhhhh. Well if I knew I had to bang it to make it work I wouldn't have bought it. So unprofessional. So pissed off I was treated so discourteously. She was rude and abrupt. Shame they no longer care about their customers. read more

I would use negative stars if I could, this restaurant just "Goofed" and took $728 dollars out of my wife's account and then they had the nerve to give her an attitude when she asked for proof of a refund. Extremely bad business practices and will never recommend anyone go there. Beware! They may try to scam you too. read more

I remembered the Italian Kitchen from one year ago. Amazing sandwiches, salads, breakfasts. Tonight was a very large chef salad loaded with meats, cheeses, egg, Pickled peppers, tomatoes, cuke, onion plus croutons. This is a meal for 3 people. The other sandwich is their amazing cheesesteak sub. Very hard to finish the 10" sub. Go there as fast as you can. Always a stop on our way to Ocala, FL. read more

Best food. worse service. ordered pizzas and cheese was all off of the pies. Broccoli bites were burnt. not counting. Less than 7 days ago. I ordered chicken fingers but didn't get the chicken fingers read more

Go for the subs and sandwiches; they're excellent and big. Depending on your tastes, you may want to skip the baked goods section. The first time we went, while our subs were being made, we picked up a slice of what was labeled "banana bread" (although we'd never seen banana bread that looked like this) and an oatmeal cookie. Never again. The banana bread reminded me of the hard, dark breads that my mom would pick up every Christmas; the ones that we had to slather with cream cheese to give them any moisture and make them chewable. This piece was dense, didn't really have any smell (certainly not a "banana bread" smell), and there was no discernable evidence of a banana being anywhere in the kitchen when this was baked. It was uniformly dark brown, with none of the usual banana flecks. The oatmeal cookie was huge and looked delicious, but instead of allowing the natural sweetness of oatmeal to be highlighted with just a minimum of sugar, this cookie clobbered you with sweetness that seemed like a molasses flavor. There was so much sweetening happening here, that it was crystallized on the cookie! Speaking of sweetening where it's not needed, we eagerly awaited the beginning of "chili season", and when it finally arrived, we got ourselves over to Italian Kitchen for a bowl. I nearly gagged on the first spoonful from the over-sweetening. This must be some modified "east coast chili" recipe, because real western chili has little or no sugar, and definitely not enough that it's the first thing you taste. It was, like, sugar soup with an undertone of beans and tomatoes. I ate a couple more bites and threw the rest away. They have a good assortment of chips and a "Quickie Mart" section where you can pick up butter, milk, orange juice, or something from their wide assortment of soft drinks and fruit juice. There's a small eat-in area in the front, and parking seems ample. When it gets crowded, someone comes out to the front and starts taking orders without waiting for the customer to get to the counter. That's considerate, and really moves things along. I'll try their salads, at some point; salads are hard to wreck. I had been hoping to try a pizza, too, but wonder if they over-sweeten the pizza sauce, same as the chili. I'd rather drive to Woodstown for pizza that we already know is delicious than take a chance on a pizza that we can't eat. Maybe they'll let us taste a sample first. Hubby is quite taken with the place, so we'll be back often, but we'll be sticking mostly with subs and chips. read more

I'm so fortunate to now live in Pennsville and have this establishment a few miles away. It's a one stop shop, really. EVERYTHING I've had is good. From the pizza, cheesesteaks, wraps, and assorted slices of cake - to full blown catering and a custom birthday cake. This place does it all, and they are the best in the area by far. If you ever have the chance to use them for catering, get the twisted mac & cheese. It is to die for. Their birthday cake is baked onsite and was moist and delicious. Their cheesesteaks and wraps are HUGE and both easily enough for two meals. In fact, half of their wraps are the equivalent to a whole wrap just about anywhere else. If you stop in rather than get delivery, it's also a convenience store with drinks, a deli for fresh meat and cheese, etc. Like I said above, this place is a one stop shop and they do it so well. read more

Always, always, always a winner.....sandwiches, meals or pizza. You can't go wrong ordering anything here. Highly recommend!

My husband and I have stopped here twice. We get takeout when we stay at the local hotel on our long road trips. The food is always tasty. We love the meat lovers pizza. We also got the chicken tender meal which was good. The staff is very friendly. This will be our definite go to spot every time we stop in Pennsville on our long road trips. Italian Kitchen - BUGS IN THE FOOD!!!! - Bakeries Near Me - Pennsville, New Jersey

This is the place for seriously good eats in Pennsville, New Jersey. The sheer quantity of food for the price is off the scales. The pizza, the hoagies, the sides, they are so well priced. Not only that, there is a further huge selection of good sitting out for order- steak strombolis, pepperoni breads, Italian good (like stuffed pepper, marinated mozzarella, etc etc) just waiting to be gobbled up. Something that would cost close to ten bucks in the city is under $4 here. You just cant beat that. But it isnt just the bargain-basement prices that make Italian Kitchen special. It is also the quality. Everything is made WELL here. The sad fact is that most of the hoagies, cheesesteaks and pizzas in South philly cannot even be mentioned in the same BREATH as Italian Kitchen. Places like this find a niche and go with it, whereas in the city it is a clusterfuck of crap all rolled up and sold as regional cuisine. Consequently, everyones quality goes down. That's why speciality stores are better in the city (ie Vietnamese, Italian pastries, Mexican food) and generic "American" tends to shine in the burbs. I dont miss much about Salem Coutny, but places like Italian Kitchen make me drool whenever I visit family. read more

I have eaten thousands of cheesesteaks in my life. I work in the city and have tried just about everywhere in South Philly. BEST place, hands-down. I will not admit this to my boyfriend who grew up in Pennsville, however. :) If you're lucky enough to live locally, opt for delivery. There's not much of a place to sit, but honestly, I would sit on the sidewalk to just taste that nirvana again! read more

I am from the West Coast, and this is the type of East Coast Italian deli that I hear transplants out there yearn about missing. The sandwiches are the best I have ever had. I ordered the 10 size, and it was enough for two eatings. I will never be able to eat at Subway again! Not that I ate there anyway. The Spaghetti was great, and the Cannoli was just as I imagined it would be. As rarely as I get to this area, I will always make a special trip here, as I found them on Yelp! Excellent, respectful customer service also, and very fairly priced. Thank you, Italian Kitchen. Darryl from Spokane, Washington. read more
