Pennsville is a sleepy town not far off of the turnpike. We were traveling and wanted some pizza,…read moreso we decided to stop in. This little pizza joint is rough around the edges--it's in an older strip center. Inside isn't fancy or new. In fact, it's a bit shabby. But the pizza and saladwas fresh and delicious and the service great. The men cooking and running the joint are very kind and aim to please. Important to know-Most of their business is obviously carry out or delivery. There are two or three tables if you want to eat it there, but this is not heavily frequented by "diners-in".

It's one size fountain soda and fridge drinks for beverages. Last two times I was in there it just seemed like they gave up. No staff around, no fresh pizzas being put out. The place didn't seem like anyone came out to clean the dining area. We haven't been back since and there was hardly anyone in the place. We waited a while for this establishment to finally open its doors and I was happy since I was working in the area and could walk there. The ambiance was great with TVs around and an optional outside eating area. I'm really not sure how they could improve it without getting more staff and trying to drive in business.

We were impressed with flavor, freshness…read moreand portion sizes, but disappointed by a few things: 1) we requested a side of fresh parm for the spaghetti and meatballs, but none was to be found in our delivered order, 2) no napkins nor plastic cutlery was included (our delivery address was to a hotel which inherently assumes these items are needed), and 3) the margherita flatbread was delicious, but cold (I'm guessing it was warm when picked up by our DoorDasher?) The tasty order of spaghetti and meatballs could've fed a family of four so we had leftovers to try and fit in our hotel fridge [bad problem to have, right? ;)]. While the side salads were fresh, they were mostly iceberg lettuce with a single slice of tomato as well as a single slice of cucumber and a few pieces of red onion. The flatbread was really good, but would've been better warm; again, likely the result of third party delivery service. Hubby enjoyed the cannoli and would order again. Next time we are in the Newark area, we'd likely order from here again, but maybe dine in versus delivery.

I hadn't been here in years and tried it off a recommendation from a friend after she mentioned it's her go-to lunch spot. I had a chick cheese steak salad and husband the fettuccini Alfredo with chicken. My salad was great! Everything was super fresh in the salad. Soggy salads this was not. And my husband loved the pasta. Said pasta was made well and the taste was great. Both came with bread. I'm GF but husband said his glutinous bread was great. We ordered take-out, food was ready at quoted time. Weekdays they have lunch specials, $6 salads, wraps and Paninis. Great deal!

I sat down with my little folder of takeout menus and went through to see who might offer jumbo fried shrimp. I have ordered from Pronto many times, but I only ever ordered sandwiches, burgers, or pizza. When I saw they were one of the only places that offered jumbo shrimp, I decided to take a chance. I ordered at 6:30 and received an email that it would arrive between 7:45 and 7:55. I was starving, but it was my own fault for ordering late. When the doorbell rang at 6:52, I figured it was a solicitor, calculating that there was no way food was cooked and delivered in 20 minutes. I was shocked to see that not only was the food delivered so quickly, everything in our order was correct AND perfect. I was super impressed with the fried shrimp, considering it wasn't from a restaurant specializing in seafood. Everything was great and I will definitely be satisfying my fried shrimp cravings in the future at Pronto!

Was disappointed in what was advertised as New York style pizza. The pizza was super thick with a very large crust and nothing like New York style pizza. I haven't tried the other food so I can't say overall what the food is like, but would come here to try entrées.
