We needed to have our counter tops replaced ASAP. We contacted more than 5 contractors and after reviewing their prices we decided on going with another company and thought we were good to go. Boy, where we wrong. 2 weeks after deciding, we had 2 weeks of missed appointments, a lot of miscommunication, and still no new counter tops. We went ahead and re-reviewed the quotes that we got and contacted them to see if they were still interested. All of them said they could maybe get us in the next few weeks, which didn't work for us. Except one - enter Slava and his team with Select Kitchen and Bath. First let me say that I wish we would have gone with Slava at the beginning of the process instead of wasting our time with the other company. Slava was great to communicate with - I asked a lot of questions regarding the process and he answered all of them patiently and on a level that someone like me (read: non-handyman) could understand. When we agreed to go with Slava, he gave us a game plan and told us how long everything would take and what we needed to do to prepare. The day before the job, he checked up on us to make sure they were good to start work the next day. The day of the job, they showed up on time and began prepping the area by laying down a cover for the floor and covered all of the appliances. Next they put up a dust wall so that the rest of the house stays clean. They also installed a sink and faucet to make sure everything work. Finally they put a sealant to protect the quartz counter tops and gave us instructions on how to take care of our new counter tops. Just a heads up to everyone! Slava was nice until the payoff when he was rude and insulting. We had granite counters installed which cracked near the kitchen sink! When i called shortly after completion, they told me they would charge me to come out and repair. When they installed a stone tile floor, the baseboards were replaced as unsightly and crooked near the front entrance. When I asked if they could be fixed the way they were originally, Slava refused. Also the crew helped themselves to my garage to work, which they left filthy. Slava didn't care about my concerns of his work. I have told many people to steer clear of this company- they don't deliver or take care of basic workmanship details. I would not recommend Budget Remodeling or SELECT Kichen and Bath to a business that doesn't care about their work! read more

Slava and his crew are 5 stars hands down. We did a huge bath remodel with them and they did a fabulous job. I will post about a dozen photos or so so you can see the before and after transformation of our master bathroom. Slava was great and organizing and arranging the remodel time frame, inspections, ordering of the materials and so much more. You can tell that he is on point and knows what he is doing because he is organized which is key in hiring a contractor nowadays. The crew worked pretty much everyday with the exceptions of the weekends. You could always count on progress being made as each day went by. Communication was awesome the entire process. Slava even went as far as hooking us up with a larger rim for the granite top than what we originally were quoted basically just hooking us up at no additional costs at all. I could honestly go on and on about Slava and his crew and all the positive things. When I first started my search to find the perfect bathroom remodel contractor I was not just going to settle for anybody. I searched for weeks before finally deciding to go with Select/budget remodeling and it was a fabulous decision. We plan to use Slava and his crew again for future project coming up soon. We had Budget Remodeling come out to remodel our shower. They weren't cheap, but their price was reasonable. They stripped the old shower down to the studs, and installed a new shower pan, treated walls, tiles, tiled shelves, and new shower doors. The plumbing was already done, so they didn't really work on that, except to fix a poorly installed 2x4 that the plumber had put in when he replaced the plumbing a month or two before. But I feel confident that any plumbing work they had done would have been top-notch. The selection of tiles they offer is excellent, and they listened carefully and followed through on some extra stuff that we paid for, like shelving inside the shower. Their attention to detail is good. And all the materials (tiles, doors, fixtures, etc.) seem to be good quality. The project took a while from start to finish (2 weeks, give or take a day), but the end product is great. read more

Slava was able to come in and measure and fabricate our counters before demolition so that we were only without a kitchen for 3 days. I recently moved to CA from out of state and purchased a home. The house needed many upgrades, including floors, granite, backsplash and interior/exterior paint. Dealing with multiple contractors, I saw the full range of workmanship and quality that the local companies had to offer. Budget Remodeling was by far the best. I had just had new hardwood flooring installed when I contracted them to tear out my concrete and granite countertops and replace with solid granite - yikes! We purchased some materials on our own which at times caused some delays. His crew is professional and competent. The only reason I gave four stars is due to communication. I couldn't communicate with the crew earthier since they speak very little English, so all communication had to be with Slava only. I hired Slava at Select Kitchen and Bath to remodel my kitchen (install granite countertops, new sink, appliances, and flooring). He and his team did an excellent job. I interviewed three contractors for my project. One gave me an estimate without coming to my home; another came to my home, measured, provided options, but did not follow up with an estimate. Slava arrived on time for his initial evaluation, measured my countertops, and gave me several options for their installation. What sold me was he had the expertise to cut the granite for my countertop around the sink in one piece, whereas the others were going to install two pieces with a seam. He matched a beautiful Blanco granite sink to the granite I selected. His team put up plastic sheeting during the demo process to keep the dust and debris from spreading through my house. They cleaned up after every session. Slava's prices were fair and reasonable. He set up a payment schedule based on completion of various milestones. The project was completed on time and for the estimated cost. I was able to move into my new home on the date planned. I love my new kitchen! I hope to eventually use Select Kitchen and Bath again for a bathroom remodel. read more

I made an appointment for Slava to come to my home and give me a bid on a remodeling job. He called before he came and acted like it was a hassle to come to my house because it was later in the afternoon. When he finally got to my house he was not cordial at all in fact I would consider his attitude extremely rude. He pushed his way into my house without introducing himself. When he got into my kitchen he treated me like I was an idiot and even laughed at what I wanted done. I have had several other contractors come out and Slava contradicted everything all of them said. He made me feel very unsafe and uncomfortable and I asked him to leave. It is unacceptable to come into someone's home the way he did and to treat anyone with such attitude and disgust. I am appalled by his behavior and would never have someone in my home with my family who has the ability to act in this manor. read more

We decided it was time to replace our fiberglass shower insert. After some checking, BBB, Yelp, etc. decided to go to Budget Remodeling. Their showroom has a great choice of products. After hearing their quote (very reasonable) and seeing their products, we decided on Piedrafina for the walls and porcelain 2x2 for the shower pan. The removal and installation took five days with a work crew that was very very efficient and hard working with minimal mess and no damage to existing area at all. Their work was excellent and the finished product is awesome. When I contacted Slava (the owner) to request that the shower control be reset to allow for hotter water, he responded immediately and came out and did it. So, great looking shower, great customer service, great price. If you are in their service area you have to consider them for your remodel. read more
