We live in new construction that is largely xeriscaped, we moved in 5 months ago and I have not seen any signs of bugs so far. The tech, Travis (one of the owners) came out for the first application. He was walking around the house dusting the eaves for wasps and removed a small nest. After looking at my yard and home situation, he determined that there would be little benefit to have routine treatment at his point and asked me if I wanted to cancel before he proceeded any further. No fee, no charge for the dusting he did that day. He said to give them a call if I ever have a bug problem. Wow! If I ever have a pest problem I will definitely call Pure Pest.

During the cold winter nights, the heat had…read morebeen running continuously - shutting off in the middle of the night and waking us to a crisp 60-62 F house temperature. The basement was always too cold in the winter and we had noticeable temperature shifts between floors. The summer heat caused similar problems. Aceco identified the areas where we were losing heat/cold and gave us a few options to best correct the problem. They also worked with our schedules and completed the work in a single day. We had some extremely cold nights this winter, but the heat has never shut off (yeah!) and the temperature differences between floors is gone. Hooray! We're happy with the results and expect that the summer cooling problems will also be resolved. (That open question is keeping my rating at 4 stars until this is confirmed.)

The guy went up on our roof and confirmed that the 'coon was getting in via an exhaust vent for our attic fan, which is what we had figured. He never looked in the attic at all. He set a trap on our roof and baited it with cat food. A couple days later, when that didn't seem to be working, my wife put some smoked salmon in the trap. Bingo! At 2 am Saturday we heard the raccoon thumping around. When we got up we verified that he was indeed in the cage and called AcEco at 8 am. Even though they claimed to be available 24/7, the phone rang and rang and rang before we finally got a recording. We left a message asking for them to call us and let us know when they'd be up. Several hours later we called again. Same thing. Sunday at 11 am we called to say that there was supposed to be a foot of snow on the way and that it would be animal cruelty to leave him up there. When there was still no response we called Animal Control. Officer Clark was great -- she came right out to check out the situation. Although AcEco told us they had 32 hours to pick the raccoon up once he was trapped, she said that was not the case: that it was 24 hours and the trap was supposed to be in a sheltered place anyway, not directly exposed to the elements. She was also highly dubious that they were, as they claimed to us, a catch-and-release company. In any event, after she called them and left a message which went unreturned, she went up and lowered the cage down with a rope. This was a monster raccoon -- probably 25-35 lbs. While we would have liked to have had him transported up to the foothills somewhere, all she could do was release him in our front yard. It is obvious that this company is unresponsive once they've taken your money and cares nothing for the welfare of the animal. They also don't seem to care about abiding by regulations.
