First Rate went well above and beyond to fix an issue that happened during the move. The movers were very careful but in transporting a rather delicate bench, the arm was broken. Brian drove up to our house in Annapolis to repair it. And not only did he come once, but he came back a second time to make sure it was done properly and to our satisfaction. I would say that is pretty unusual in today's business environment. This was such a personal response that truly showed how these people care!

My original move date was last Thursday, but due to the big "winter storm of 2010", we had to reschedule. Luckily, they came out to move me the very next day when the roads were more clear. The side roads in Salisbury were still very bad, but they were able to make do. They were very efficient despite all the snow. I should also mention that there was minimal, if any, knocking of walls or door frames with furniture, boxes, etc. Additionally, I felt that what they charged for their services was very reasonable. Oh, and I don't want to forget, they also switched out the washer and dryer between the two homes (in other words, two washer/dryer disconnects and reinstalls). Great job all around!

He worked with me to schedule a time which was actually earlier than I had asked for, which was better for both of us. He arrived early, and began right on time with two of his assistants. They emptied a very-full 20-foot truck in two hours, which was the time we had agreed upon. Some of the items were extremely heavy and needed to go down a flight of stairs, but they never complained and got everything exactly where I needed it without hitting any of the walls. We hired Mary's Touch Moving to pack up two large PODS that we needed to move from Ocean View, DE…read moreto Concord, NC. We weren't there to oversee the packing and weren't totally sure what to expect. The crew finished packing up the PODS more thank two hours sooner than we anticipated (literally saving us hundreds of dollars). Our things were in storage for over a month and the PODS were just delivered and unloaded. I need to give credit where it's due. The PODS were packed SO well! Everything was wrapped and padded perfectly and nothing broke (even the fragile things that were barely unbroken when they were loaded). I am honestly so impressed. We have moved numerous times and this was our best experience with a moving company.
