Later that day, to my surprise, they sent a 10yd dumpster to my home - which I did not request/order. I called their supervisor, she told me I still have to pay the "trip fee", and she is not sure "of the specifics" as to why there is a 10yd dumpster in my driveway. No one from the company reached out to me to explain why the 10yd was sitting in my driveway for 3 days. What a great experience! They really came through for me. I had a very specific request, as I was on a time crunch for closing the sale of my home, and ran into a last minute junk issue with tenants leaving behind an extensive amount of belongings. The dumpster was available within just 2 days of my request. Although the company can not guarantee a drop off time, I had also requested to just be informed when the dumpster was dropped off, and the driver made that happen for me. He called me to double check where he should place it, and to let me know it was there. I calculated shingles dumped and admittedly went over 2 tons but they are trying to tell me that 1 rug 4 trash bags and 3 medium size branches weigh over 1000 pounds to put me over 1.25 tons. Awful awful awful!! They have great front end customer service, and they even deliver and pickup the dumpsters on time. The problem is that they are WAY overpriced. 2 tons for 625 is not a good price, if you're getting a 30 yard dumpster you're likely going to need at least 5 tons. they will charge you 130 additional for each extra ton, so if you use a dumpster from them and fill it with 5 tons, you will get charged over 1,000!! I made the unfortunate mistake of filling a dumpster to 9 tons, and realizing they are wayyy overpriced, paying 1400 for a single dumpster is absurd...I am now going with millenium, great customer service, 725 a dumpster with a 5 ton limit, AND they dont haggle you for more money if you need the dumpster for longer than 2 weeks read more

I will never do business with budget dumpster rental and would not recommend this company to friends or colleagues. Back in April I rented a 30 yard dumpster which fit fine in my yard and recently rented a 20 yard dumpster from the same company and the inexperienced driver was unable to fit the 20 yard dumpster in my yard and caused damage to my gate. Because the driver could not get the dumpster in my yard, the dumpster was placed in my driveway which caused my car to be blocked in for 4 days now. Budget Dumpster is a predatory service, and I would not recommend them for any renovation or trash removal project big or small. They have fees for scenarios that other companies would not: (1) customers are required to schedule their own pickup, $25/day for every day past due (2) fees for weight limits over 1 ton no matter how full the dumpster is (who weighs every item they put into a dumpster?) (3) Fees for any piece of debris that makes it above the dumpster line by an inch. They are a hassle, and definitely not budget. The absolute worst dumpster rental company that exists. I was told wood slats would be provided under the dumpster to prevent damage to my driveway. On the day of delivery they told me that is not guaranteed and they are not responsible for any damages. I told them to cancel it if they can't provide wood slats and they told me I will incur a cancellation fee. The worst possible customer service-- you cant guarantee that you won't damage my property and you also won't take responsibility for any potential damage. Makes no sense. I was charged $100 for putting a mattress/box spring in the dumpster when I know for a fact I did not. Their response was that it is my responsibility if a stranger puts something in the dumpster I am not aware of and I should have been there when the dumpster was closed and picked up. I'm contesting the charges with my credit card company. The dumpster was not delivered on the day agreed upon. It seemed to be a great deal. We did everything we could to avoid extra charge -only dump the allowed items, called pick up within the deadline, no overweight items at all...etc. However, our credit card were charged three times: $575, $150 and $533.25. The 2nd charge of $150 was for a failed delivery because they sent a wrong sized truck that couldn't back into our driveway. What a racket. Rented a 30-yard dumpster for the first two weekends in August. Dumpster was used to clean out my old house. Paid $740 with a 2-ton limit. Threw out 3 appliances (Stove, Washer and dryer) total weight about 600 pounds. An old sleeper loveseat, sofa and recliner. Say about 300 pounds. Some rugs, various textbooks and papers. Another 200 pounds. Broken down bed frames and tables. A couple of mirrors. We'll say about 300 pounds. Some other misc. junk. To be on the safe side - 400 pounds. Add them together and we have about 1800 pounds. Less than 1 ton. Fast forward to 9/12/2022. I received an invoice stating that the dumpster was 4.12 tons over the limit. Was billed an additional $638. That would be 6.12 tons. Over 12000 pounds? Of course, when I try to ask them about the overage, I was emailed some spew of "A state certified Weighmaster determined the weight of your materials in a highly regulated, governmental process". Asked for an itemized list of what I had in the dumpster and mentioned that I will dispute this charge with my credit card company. Response of "We cannot provide an itemized list of everything that was inside of your dumpster when it arrived at the landfill. However, we can provide the state-certified weight ticket from the landfill as further evidence of the weight of your debris. This will be sent to you via email as soon as possible. Please note that if you choose to dispute this fee with your bank, and the weight ticket comes back and it does not match the invoice you received, we will be unable to refund you directly. You would have to go through your bank. If you do not dispute and the weight ticket comes back and it does not match, we will be able to continue assessing the situation further". Put no concrete in it just an old deck and general waste. They said it weighed 21 tons and charged me an extra $1,700. There is no way in the world it could have weighed that much. We rented a much larger dumpster then we actually needed, because we have never rented one before and really were not familiar with the sizes. We had to call three times before they finally picked it up. Kept telling us we were scheduled then no one would show up. three months later they charge our credit card saying dumpster was over the limit. This is straight up a scam and we will dispute the charge. There is no way that dumpster that was less than 1/3 full came anywhere near to being over weight unless they added to it before dumping it. They make money by drastically lowing weight limit on trash and charge heavily for the overage. For a 30 yard dumpster, the weight limit is typically 5 tons. They quietly low the weight limit to 2 tons, which guarantees that dumpster renters will exceed the limit. Then they charge a heavy fee. Most people do not pay attention to such fine prints, even for someone like me who are not new to dumpster rental. So buyers beware! It was difficult because the dumpster could arrive any time of day, no real notice. 2. We were charged for a mattress being in the dumpster, but we didn't throw one away in there. How would we say any different or prove it. They charged us extra money. 3. They said it was overweight. How would you go against that. Again, charged us extra money. I had multiple issues with this company. I would not ever rent a dumpster from them again. Delivery went fine but then had nothing but issues afterwards. I needed a dumpster for hurricane cleanup of my home that flooded. The dumpster was delivered without a problem but problems occurred regarding the pickup. I called to have the dumpster picked up on time. They were not able to pick it up on the day requested and sent an email indicating they would pick it up the day following the requested pick up date without charging any extra days. They did not pick it up on that day either. Unfortunately, the following evening another hurricane was coming through my area and the dumpster with the contents were still sitting in my driveway. I called again that day to let them know it was still there and that I needed it gone since another storm was coming through. They said it would be picked up by the evening....surprisingly, it WAS NOT. That dumpster sat at my house for another 3 weeks until I called them again after Thanksgiving holiday. At that time, they had no idea that they were missing a dumpster and requested that I send them pictures of the dumpster still on my property. After sending pictures, the dumpster did finally get picked up from my house. After pick up, I received an invoice and charge to my credit card regarding an overage of weight. I figured everything was settled and that was it...UNTIL today (2 months later) when I received a new invoice with a new overage charge 3x the amount of the previous charge. When I called to inquire about this new invoice, they told me that this was the only invoice for an overage on my account and I stated that I've already paid for an overage and even with the previous invoice number they were unable to locate that invoice and asked that I forward them a copy of the previous invoice and they would look into it and call me back. They were unable to give my a timeframe for a call back. Appears to be a very disorganized company as they have lost track of both a dumpster at my house for over a month and lost track of an invoice and charge on my acct. Rented a 30 yard dumpster from them on 11 October 2022. Dumpster was not delivered on the day that it was promised, delivered 2 days later. The invoice was paid before dumpster was delivered. I received an alert from my bank on November 23, 2022, more than a month after the dumpster was picked up, that my debit card had been debited for $77.25, I called them to inquire as to why and was informed that the dumpster was overweight, which could not have been true because of the type of materials that were placed in the dumpster and more over the dumpster was note even half full.
