I have had a great experience every time, but what happened today was worth taking the time to write about. As part of dealing with some recent issues with my vehicle, I knew the car had been out of alignment. One tire had become badly worn, while another was almost brand new because I had replaced it about a month ago after picking up a screw. I went into Discount Tire fully expecting to replace all four tires and spend somewhere around $1,000. I told the gentleman helping me that I needed four new tires. He inspected all four and essentially told me, "We can certainly sell you four tires, but I think we can sell you one and potentially get another 18 to 24 months out of the others." Obviously, I wanted to hear more. He walked me through the condition of each tire and showed me exactly what he was seeing. One tire needed to be replaced. Two others had worn more aggressively because of the alignment issue, but the wear was even and they still had approximately 60% of their usable tread remaining. The fourth tire was the newer one I had recently replaced. Instead of simply selling me what I walked in asking for, he recommended replacing the one tire that actually needed it, rotating the others into the best positions, and then having me come back for their free tire rotations so we can manage the wear and hopefully extend the life of the set another 18 to 24 months. I walked in expecting to spend about $1,000 and walked out spending roughly $200. That kind of honesty is exactly why this is now the third time I have chosen Discount Tire since moving to Hixson. What made the day even better was that I had just come from another automotive repair where I had also received some unexpectedly good news. Between the two businesses, I started the day mentally preparing myself to spend close to $5,000 on my vehicle. Instead, because both businesses recommended only what I actually needed, I ended up spending around $800 total. You just don't have days like that very often when dealing with car repairs. Discount Tire had every opportunity to sell me four tires. I was standing there ready to buy them. Instead, they gave me the advice that was best for me and saved me approximately $800. That is how you earn a customer's trust and repeat business. Three experiences with Discount Tire since 2022, three great experiences -- and after today's experience, finally a well-deserved review. I brought two black (semi-gloss with machined center cutout) TSW roll Forged wheels to this shop…read morewith mild curb rash. The business owner and operator stated the repair would be $200 a wheel. A week + later I got back high gloss black (slight hint of metallic) with the machined portion painted over - not fractionally similar to the original color, shade and gloss level - and obviously a complete mismatch to the other two wheels in the set. I have a total of 8 wheels of that type, and now I have to find a reputable shop that now has to remove the unprofessional job on these wheels and completely refinish them. It was a complete waste of time, both mine and his. Even worse, when I explained the problems with his work, the owner stomped off and angrily slammed my wheels onto a metal mesh shelf (all while his wife cringed and my teenage son witnessing his tantrum). He didn't refinish the wheels even remotely close to their original finish and pitched an unprofessional fit when I explained what was wrong. I was obviously unhappy but didn't yell or lose my temper, and his response was over the top out of control. I took my wheels and left. For note - I used this same company back in 2021 for a different set of TSW wheels and the work he did was actually quite good back then. Not this time - and whatever is going on in his life right now is preventing him from running a professional business. I can't explain how disappointed I am. I don't know what is driving this business owner's behavior, but it isn't good and I would steer clear of his business. I will personally never use his services again. I attached several pictures. The level of gloss is hard to demonstrate in pictures, but to be sure - the work he did wasn't even close to the original finish and would look terrible and mismatched. He ultimately did not charge me - and I would not have paid him for the work. $200 a wheel is a premium price for wheel repair. I could have achieved 90% of the quality with a rattle can - it was most certainly not worth the price he was asking.

Based on what I experienced, I genuinely believed that both my life and the life of my younger sister were in immediate danger. I respectfully request that corporate leadership treat this matter with the highest level of urgency and conduct a comprehensive investigation into the actions of the employees involved. On July 24, 2026, I was at a gas station on South Moore Road while my uncle was putting air in one of my tires. During that time, I was approached by individuals in a black (or dark blue) GMC truck and a white Mercury Grand Marquis occupied by white males. Their actions immediately made me feel intimidated and unsafe. Fearing for our safety, my sister and I left the gas station. As we drove away, the vehicles began pursuing us down Ringgold Road. At that moment, I believed we were the victims of a violent crime or attempted robbery. With the amount of violent crime occurring in our community, I had every reason to believe our lives were in danger. The pursuit continued from Ringgold Road onto Interstate 75 North. During the chase, the GMC truck and the white Mercury repeatedly attempted to force my vehicle off the interstate. I feared that we were going to be seriously injured or killed. After exiting at Shallowford Road, the white Mercury struck my vehicle, causing me to hit a curb and blow out a tire. Even with my tire destroyed and sparks coming from my vehicle, I continued driving because I was terrified to stop. At that point, I was being pursued by four vehicles: the white Mercury Grand Marquis, the GMC truck, and two RNR Tire Express trucks. Desperate for help, I pulled into a local tire shop on Lee Highway. Before I could even get out to ask for assistance, the GMC truck entered the parking lot aggressively. One of the occupants yelled, "Don't drive off, you Black bitch!" I was terrified and immediately got back into my vehicle. All four vehicles continued pursuing me to Brainerd Road, where I stopped at RimTyme, an RNR competitor, hoping someone would help me. Instead, all four vehicles surrounded my car and blocked me from leaving. While my vehicle was immobilized, my wheels and tires were removed in the competitor's parking lot. This resulted in extensive damage to my vehicle, including stripped wheel studs, damage to my brake lines, towing expenses, storage fees, and ultimately the total loss of my vehicle. The wheels and tires removed from my vehicle were my personal property. The tires had been purchased from different retailers because I was repeatedly unable to obtain flat repairs or tire replacements through the tire protection plan I had been paying for. Additionally, when I originally purchased tires through RNR Tire Express, the company retained my factory wheels. When I later requested those wheels back, I was informed they had been taken to a junkyard. Zach, the Collections Manager, told me the original factory wheels had been scrapped. If true, this raises serious concerns regarding the handling and disposal of customers' personal property. After leaving the scene by Uber, I began piecing together what had occurred and recognized the individuals involved in the pursuit. Based on my observations: Zach, the Collections Manager, was driving the black or dark blue GMC truck. Nathan was driving the white Mercury Grand Marquis. Two additional RNR employees were driving the RNR company trucks that participated in the pursuit. My younger sister was with me throughout this terrifying incident. She has since complained of neck pain, and I have experienced pain in my back and shoulders. We are seeking medical evaluation so our injuries can be properly documented and treated. Law enforcement is currently working to obtain traffic camera footage from the areas where these events occurred. Beyond the physical injuries and property damage, this incident has caused severe emotional trauma. No customer should ever experience fear for their life while attempting to conduct normal business. I truly believed we were going to be seriously injured or killed. The actions of those involved endangered not only my sister and me, but also countless innocent motorists traveling on public roads. This incident has left me with significant financial losses, physical injuries, emotional distress, and the total loss of my vehicle. I respectfully request that corporate leadership immediately investigate this matter by reviewing all available evidence, including but not limited to: Surveillance video from RNR Tire Express and surrounding businesses. I ended up taking the tires and wheels back because my car shook uncontrollably with him on it and luckily he gave me the money back and I went elsewhere and bought wheels and tires and they checked my alignment and my car ended up having to have an alignment which told me that they lied to me and I would hate for this to happen to anyone else...
