So this went bad before it even got started. Called Budget Blinds here in Albany to book a consultation for putting new blinds throughout my house. We used them in 2003 so I thought I'd use them again. The lady that answered the phone was getting my information name, address etc. then asked what blinds I wanted.? I told her I'm not sure that is why I was booking an appointment for someone to come out and talk with is to show us what is available as I have not done blinds since 2003. She then asked me how much money I was willing to spend? What was my budget? I told her I'm not sure yet again that is why I'm booking an appointment to talk with someone and I don't feel it is appropriate for you to be asking how much money I have to spend. If I tell you a high amount you will only tell me show me the most expensive and if I tell you a low amount you will only show me crap. I want to know what my options are then I will tell you if it's going to fit into my budget. She booked an appointment for someone to come out this coming Monday so my husband canceled working out of town to be home for this appointment. Today- October 30th I get a call from Kayla- the lady that was supposed to come out canceling the appointment for Monday. Stating after talking to the receptionist that the phone call was incredibly hostile and using profanity. What she heard was my husband in the background stating the same thing I was telling her. I just want an appointment, it's not the receptionist business how much money I have to spend. I do not recommend this company at all!! They seem to only want to deal with you if you are not wanting to spend top dollar!! Kayla was very condescending on the phone dealing with me. Would not listen to me trying to explain the conversation with her receptionist the day before. Well they just lost a a good commission. 12 windows and I was not planning on going with cheap blinds. I will never do business with this company again!!! Or recommend them to anyone!!! I have contacted a local business here in Albany and they are amazing to deal with. Accommodating with our needs. Never asked me how much money I had to spend. They take measurements, you pick your product then they give you a quote. Exactly what I thought I was getting with Budget Blinds. Heather and Jessica of Budget Blinds Albany and Corvallis were very quick and responsive to my call for help with window covering options for two properties. Jessica patiently listened to my long list of needs and budget target, quickly brought me their best of Design House ideas and samples. I was extremely pleased with her professionalism, knowledge and artistic vision since I've no such sense! It's different to be a good designer and not only to be a sales person. Her idea and suggestion for a matching color was spot on, I liked it a lot. They helped me make minor adjustments to my wish list without sacrificing quality, to bring the cost within my budget. The order for custom made blinds was placed with a quick turn around, an installation date was set, followed by a very professional and quick installation with perfect fit! If I could, it would be NO stars! Hubby and I stopped in the store on Tuesday, August 20. We spoke to one of the ladies and told her what we were looking for etc. We didn't want anyone coming out to measure, we just wanted a rough quote with the measurements we gave her. My husband wrote it all down and gave her our number to call us with a quote. Well, tomorrow will be a week and NO CALL! I'd refer to that as terrible customer service! Guess we will be going with a local Corvallis store that was eager to give us a rough quote, before we even left their store. read more

Ordered an office full of blinds which continue to break. Window treatment specialist came to our office and began to fix the blinds. He took 6 hours at 90.00 an hour. However, when he started fixing the blinds, he was repairing something that didn't need to be repaired and our office manager stopped him and said you need to fix the spots that have tape on them, not the areas that work! His scheduling was off, not just once, but twice after this initial visit. This resulted in 3 trip charges at 45.00 per trip. We ended up with a 715.00 bill. Complete dishonesty! The bill also states that there were 3 new blinds. Completely untrue. There were no new blinds, just repaired ones. read more

Their new shop in North Albany is beautiful and the finished product looks great but the process was anything but great. Phone calls not returned, questions unanswered, no follow through and unresponsive owner. Customer Service not one of their strong points. read more

My experience with the budget blinds in North Albany was fantastic. When I purchased my new home I received a coupon for blinds and a free in home consultation. When I called to book I had no idea what kind of blinds I was interested in so the gal on the phone suggested I come into their office to look at their displays before my appointment. I stopped into their adorable office where I found out they also have an interior design company and the office is filled with fun home accessories. I left the office knowing exactly the kind of blind I was interested in as well as a fun new pillow and throw. A few days later Heather, the sales consultant came out to my house to measure my windows and show me different options of the product I had chosen. The entire sales process was easy and quick. A few days later they called me to schedule my install and within 4 weeks like I was quoted my blinds were installed perfectly. Definitely the way to go about purchasing blinds if you are in the market. read more

Budget Blinds in Corvallis has horrible customer service and they are dishonest! They said one of their competitors had gone out of business and they hadn't been around for a long time. Turns out they never went out of business! I was shocked. To know that a company would stoop that low, to lie and badmouth another company, is just unbelievable. So my advice is do not use Budget Blinds. Go with Clear Vision Blinds. They're pricing is better than any other company, they are super friendly, and they have been around for a long time. read more

First off, there is nothing budget about "Budget Blinds". I'm not sure what the markup is for other companies, but theirs is over 100%. (I saw their price list after I had ordered ours.) We had the misfortune of working with a salesperson who mismeasured our curtains, and didn't check another order before delivering it to our place, only to discover that he blinds were not the right size. It took over 2 months to get our order complete, except for one element which never showed up. For that piece (a decorative window grid), the order was placed, but was lost by the supplier. We were told that most of the problems were on the supplier's end. When I complained about these delays I was told by the Albany rep that "we're only as good as our supplier." That's a complete copout that shows a complete lack of responsibility. And if they are only as good as their supplier, then they're a completely incompetent company. The salesperson is now gone, but the poor attitude came from the local store, not him. I will say that the installer was very personable and very capable. If he ran his own business, I'd support him. But I would NEVER use Budget Blinds again. This is a poorly run company that takes no accountability for their own errors. read more
