I've been pondering on writing a review. Decided to do it because I don't want anyone else to have this experience and I'm still cleaning the sewage left indoors and outdoors. Tried this company based on referral and reviews to clear clogged main sewer line- cleared...no problem!! However my basement white walls were left stained with sewage. I had a cleaned shop vac that I was planning to take to my garage to vacuum my car the next day. The basement smelled horrible the next morning so when I traced the smell I discovered he used it to clean the sewage and left some in there. My blind dog had gone out into the backyard and came back in, leaving smelly paw prints on the floor. When I traced it, I discovered he emptied the sewage on my fenced in back lawn along with his dirty glove. I left my dog kennel tray in the basement to see how much water was leaking from the ceiling earlier that day. He used it and left sewage all in and around the tray. Two days of cleaning left behind sewage for an additional $75 charge for a Saturday on top of a pricy job. Truth is I've had this done before at my current location for $110 less and no signs of sewage left inside or outside my home. Didn't initially mind paying the higher $360 bill vs $250 normally but to see all this the next morning...Disappointing. For this extra cost I would think the service would be superior at the least. I think I'll stick with my septic clog guys in the future only wished they weren't overbooked at the time. Cleaning my shop vacuum, walls, toilet paper debris off pipes, washing floors and carpet paw stains and diluting the yard patches of sewage...the level of clean up behind this is not worth it. I've never experienced this lack of consideration or professionalism as a 30 year home owner. I would not hire them again. Good lesson though not all service companies are the same - check premises before they leave. read more

I had a clogged kitchen sink and Joe came out and fixed it the same day I called. He showed up when he said he would, explained the problem and took care of it for about $150, which seems reasonable. He was very nice too! read more

Don't even call anyone else for a quote - Budge It Drain is ALL you will need. The ladies in our house all have long hair. We recently downsized from 3 bathrooms to 1 (eeek!) and no matter what prevention method we try, we keep clogging up the tub drain. I have had to call for drain service 3 times now - Budge It was the 4th call so I have a lot to compare to... They came IMMEDIATELY, they were faster at clearing the drain in the old plumbing than any of the other companies that came and THEIR PRICE WAS *WAY* better! They cleaned up any debris left over and were really nice guys. Tell them Renée sent you when you call and tell your friends about them. You don't always need a drain company but when you do, you want a company you can rely on. read more

I am super impressed with these guys. I called them on a Sunday with what appeared to be a clogged pipe to the main (a problem that basically shut down an entire 2-family house). They gave me a fair price on the phone and showed up within an hour, as promised. But that was just the beginning. Mike, the technician was very nice and extremely respectful of the home. He took his shoes off (which meant they had to go back on and off again every time he went out to the van), and took great care to place drop cloths everywhere to not make a mess. After working diligently for quite some time without complaint, Mike determined that the problem was not a clog, but a faulty ejection pump. Rather than throw up his hands, demand payment for his time and walk away from the problem, he called it in, and within 90 minutes, another guy (Pat) showed up with a new part. (Did I mention that it was Sunday?) Pat was also very respectful of the home. He also took off his shoes when he went in, he put the non-functioning pipe in a bag before removing it from the home so as not to drip, and when he needed a grungy pipe from the bad pump, he wrapped it in a towel before bringing it back in. In the end, it took several hours- probably significantly more time than they had hoped to spend- but they got it all working well, cleaned up after themselves with a spray cleaner and paper towels, and did it all with the most pleasant and professional of demeanors. From start to finish, they displayed a level of professionalism that you simply do not find very often. They will absolutely be my first call the next time I have a problem, and I highly recommend them without reservation. read more

I originally called for a clogged sink and a shower leak. The man came to my home, opened my main line as well as another access point and told me he could not get through the clog with his snake. At this point he asked for my permission to add $175 camera fee charge on top of the $380 they were already charing me for opening the caps off the two drains. I told him sure if that will help figure out more about the clog. About an hour after that I seen him sitting outside in his car on the phone seeming really frustrated. I go out to him looking for an update and he tells me his snake and camera are not getting through my clogg and that he is waiting for another man to come who has "a smaller snake and smaller camera that will get through the clog." I say okay and leave things alone, mind you at this point it is about 2:30pm and he has been working in my home on those two drains since 11:30am. About a half hour later he is calling me down the stairs to tell me that everything is all set and that he had gotten through the clog without the need of the extra man. As I come back down the stairs from grabbing the $565 for the job I walked into this man asking me for towels because he has flooded my bathroom. He said he let the sink and shower run while he ran out to his van for a second and when he came back the sink had overflowed. I told him I did not have any towels available so he started to vacuum the water up. As he is vacuuming the water he tells me "It sounds like the water may be leaking down into the basement. I go down to look at the basement and the water is pouring from my basement ceiling like rain water in multiple different places. I go back upstairs and inform the man that this is happening and he comes down to look. At that point I expressed my concerns for my wood and mold as the whole basement is finished with naughty pine and he started to get combative with me. "Oh, well I hope you aint trying to say that you want me to pay for this because I'm not, that has nothing to do with me and you never told me your bathroom sink was clogged." I let the man know my sink was never clogged to begin with and that I had called for the sink in the basement, which was now unclogged but had obviously cause a new clog elsewhere in the home. The man continued to berate me eventually asking to speak to my husband, who was not home and working at the time, because he would understand what he's talking about better than I, a woman, would. At one point the man even said to me "Do I need to draw it out for you in order for you to understand". This was all because the man did not want to take responsibility for causing water damage to my house and was trying to pin it off on me. I asked the man what the disbatcher had told him was the issue when she sent him to my house and he said "nothing" and that it was my fault for "not telling him my sink was clogged" which I insisted again was never an issue before him being there. As a woman and being the only person in the house at the time I felt very uncomfortable being yelled at, argued with and berated in my own basement by a strange angry man so I went upstairs to call the manager. The manager was very understanding and very helpful. Come to find out the man in my home was calling himself the owner of the company when he was in fact just the real owner's son. The manager cut my price down to accommodate my situation and the son later on apologized to me for his behavior before leaving my home. This was the most stressful and overwhelming experience ever. The man left my house about 3:45pm and I couldn't have felt more relieved about it. The water stopped leaking through my basement ceiling and now I am stuck to deal with possible water damage due to a "professionals" neglect of my property and his better judgement. He should have never ran the water and walked away from it for any period of time. If he had stayed in there he would have seen the basin filling up and would have been able to stop the water before it overflowed all over the bathroom and into my basement. I would not recommend this company unless you're okay with possible damage to your home that you'll be responsible for. read more

Had a problem with our kitchen sink the day before Thanksgiving. Our plumber referred us to Budge It Drains. I talked with Joe who was very responsive and had his son, Paul, come out to our house. Paul cleanedout the sink and found that the larger drain line was also clogged, contributing to the problem. He cleaned out all the pipe and resolved our draining problem. A BIG thanks to Joe and his son for resolving my problem. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. read more

I was having an issue with my toilet intermittently flushing. Fred came to my house yesterday, took the toilet off, augered it and claimed that there was no blockage, just some build up. When he was putting the toilet back on, he asked if the toilet was "rocking" previously, and I stated that it had not. He then said that the copper flange should be replaced because he could only bolt one side of the toilet. The initial problem that I called for persisted because the problem has not been fixed. Another plumber came back out today and he claimed that the issue was the flange that needs to be replaced. I asked why they had charged me $160 to auger the toilet when the issue causing the intermittent flushing was really caused by the flange that needed to be replaced. He could not answer my question, then walked out of my home and drove off without addressing my concern. If the flange was the issue, they should have stated that upfront before augering and simply charged me for a service call since they do not replace flanges. $160 later and I am in no different of a position than before they came out. I feel like they stole $160 from me and were not willing to make the situation right. read more

A little more than 3 weeks later and the SAME issue occurred again. This time I used John's Sewer & Pipe Cleaning because Budge It Drains didn't answer the phone. When they arrived, we explained that the Budge It Drains plumber went through the upstairs bathroom shower to try to fix the clog that caused the sink to overflow. They did find a clog, but they assumed it was the only one. The plumber with John's Sewer & Pipe Cleaning found one much further down the line because he went through the kitchen sink instead (something the Budge It Drains plumber didn't do). That and this new plumber provides a 90 warranty that wasn't offered by Budge It Drains AND they charged $100 less for the same amount of time spent in our home. He also ran the shower and sink at the same time to ensure he had actually gotten the issue. I thought I was happy with Budge It Drains, but after it happened again so quickly and my positive experience with the new plumber I feel like I wasted my money. read more

These guys were polite and got here on time. However, they looked at the copper piping in my basement and said it was "galvanized", and blamed the "galvanized" pipe for the blockage. They were hired to remove a clogged pipe that connected the upstairs shower with a downstairs sink. While there they were told that the kitchen sink was also running slow. They snaked the pipes leading from the bathroom sink and ran water down the kitchen sink. After snaking the sink they said it was unclogged. They literally just ran water down the kitchen sink, but charged us for unclogging that, which they said, was never clogged. We didn't experience the same backup for about 2 weeks because we went away for a few days. When we came home the first person to take a shower caused a backup. We called Budge It and they came back the next day. They did the same thing and claimed it was unclogged. When I said that they should run the water long enough to determine if it was actually unclogged, the man said, we ran it long enough. One week later the sink flooded again. When I called them Joe first said they would not come out for free because they only warranty their work for a month. When I reminded him that it had only been 25 days since they first came and only a week since the second time, I was told that I needed to get a plumber to insert a drain clean out and they would come back. They never completed the job that they were overpaid for. I Would not recommend them or use them again. read more

we had 3 other companies come to our home for a blocked rain gutter drain that runs under our driveway. all 3 wanted to dig up the driveway first, to look for the problem. i called budge it drains from a mailer my wife recieved at work. they showed up within an hour from off cape!! fred the service man suggested we pressure clean the hose. which we did. it took about 45 minutes but he found the problem. dug up the end of the drain, cleaned it...problem solved! its been 3 years of flooded cellarsand they fixed it in less than an hour. no hard sell, no upsell, just straight honest work. highly reccommend! read more

I had a draining issue with my bathroom pipes, and was referred by my main plumber, who wasn't available to come by that day, to this company. They did arrive promptly, but were not very friendly. Once they started trying to fix the problem what happen instead they busted my pipe and water LEAKED DOWN INTO MY KITCHEN AND IT WAS A DISASTER!!! I had to use my own clean towels to mop up all the dirty water, b/c they had none in there van. They then proceeded to open up my now water damage kitchen ceiling to see the damage done to the pipes. Afterwards they told me I had to call my other plumber to fix the problem. So at this point I can not even use my bathroom, and Budge It Drain's had the nerve to charge me $149 for the service call!! Myself, family, and neighbors are shocked that after breaking the pipe and not even cleaning up the mess left by them they would charge me for SERVICES NOT RENDERED!!!!!!! Needless to say I was extremely dissatisfied by there lack of experience!!! Don't use these guys if I were you!! read more
