Recently we found we were in need of a drain unclogging at work. When Cameron did that he also showed us how the pipes were quite corroded and he suggested a milling to prevent a future problem. Fast forward 2 weeks and we had another clog, caused by paper getting stuck on the terribly corroded pipe. Once again I called Budge It Drains and they had Cameron out with in the hour, which I was very impressed with. He and his coworker got rid of the clog, did the milling of the pipe and showed me the before and after videos of their work. Two stars is generous, but because they were nice twice and did the two jobs as they were trained, However, they took money that they shouldn't have and were then rude and condescending when THEY called ME looking to do a repeat job. Budge It Drains has twice done a video inspection and hydro jet for the main line near the street. The employees seemed nice then. When I had a problem a few months later, I called the city first to notify them. When they came out, they told me Budge It should have never done the main line because the main line pipes outside the house are managed by the city for free (yay, taxes) and Budge It should have told me that up front instead of charging well over a thousand dollars. A guy from Budge It called me after my plumber gave them my number recently. The Budge It guy was rude and condescending. When I gently told him what the city said, he was abrasive, guffawed, and said "Well, I'd like them to come to MY house then!" and "I guess you don't need us!" and ended our call. They had been notified of this experience and never so much as offered an apology for the way he spoke to me after respectfully notifying them that I was unnecessarily charged a lot of money as a repeat customer. I used to recommend them but now I recommend friends and family to NOT support them. read more

Couldn't believe the reasonable price they charged, even accepted the $20 discount coupon that was on line. Second time I used them and satisfied both times. I called Budge It yesterday at about noon because my tub was draining very slowly. Joe said someone would arrive within the hour, and he was there in about 45 minutes. There was a significant blockage of some kind about 20 feet down the line that took quite some time to work out. Joe was able to dislodge it and the tub was draining in about 45 minutes. Later that night the tub was draining as slowly as before. I called Joe this morning and he was to the house, with another person, inside an hour. They were able to resolve the issue permanently with no additional fee. When I spoke with them I was told they were in the neighborhood and would stop by and within 30 minutes they were here. They fixed my problem and told/showed me where the problem was. Reader's Digest Version. :-) I encountered a clogged kitchen drain at midnight last night and of course with all the hoopla going on and short notice, I was having an issue finding someone to come out. One of the local plumbing services suggested that I give Budge It Drains a call. I called and left a message with Joe at 8:15a, who promptly called me back and set a schedule window for 9:30-11:30, same day. Scott arrived at 9:45, the problem was resolved by 10:30, and the service charge was extremely affordable. Scott left the area immaculate as well. We had a huge sewer gas leak that filled our home to the extent that we called the fire department wondering if it was gas. Once we blocked off the source (basement) and aired out the house, we called Budge It Drains. They came from Bridgewater, MA to Shrewsbury, MA the next day. They performed complete diagnostics on our sewer pipes and vent stack using a camera, and located a clog in the vent stack, which they investigated from both directions, then snaked from the roof. They double checked drain flow with me, which was vastly improved. The guys were polite, friendly, and professional in explaining what they thought was going on, and left a flash drive with the camera video! They are my go-to call in the future. I had a slight leak in my lower bathroom years ago, and one company wanted to charge me twice as much to use a camera; a second company wanted to rip into the wall from the bathroom. They charged us over $600 for a little bit of snaking work that was unsuccessful. I would say they were there for a little over an hour. We found out later that day the problem was not fixed. Water all over our basement. We called the company again that evening. The owner was extremely rude and very unprofessional. They told us the service person would be back at our house the very next morning at 8 am. We waited and waited all morning. We finally called them again and they had no recollection of the conversation from the night before. They did not have anything in their notes about having to come back to our house that morning. The same guy finally came back out. Said it was a clogged septic filter. Charged us another $200 to come back out. couldn't put zero stars so that's what the one is. the owner Joe is a absolute horrible man. his guys (who were very nice ) came to unclog a drain and for whatever reason the sewer backed up and sewer and water and shit flooded everywhere. When we called the owner he came to asses the situation and immediately started backing up and saying we're out of here we're not cleaning this we're leaving - he then started filming us and telling us come closer come come on we had to call the cops. Budget it Drains tried to charge $375 to clear a clog 3ft from my toilet. I called 3 diffrent plumbers for quotes before Budget it Drains came by and all of them said $250 to $300. When I said the price is too high he tried to charge me $150 for coming to the house. Just called another company already enroute after quoting me at $300. read more

This was a really unfair price - he charged $370 for a 20 minute visit to snake our tub drain - and left the bathroom a complete mess. He did not solve the problem and told us to call a plumber. Apparently there is a 2-hour minimum policy, which we were not informed about when we called. Budge it Drains saved our Shi**y souls yesterday. We just moved into a new townhouse on 03/01, and just yesterday in less than 24 hours after closing we had sewage backup from about 8 units all the way down into ours. It's was a disgusting mess throughout the house. Halted moving in with our life in boxes. Our condo association couldn't find a single soul they were affiliated with to come and save us til Monday. I've used Budge It Drains twice in the past with good results. This week was the complete opposite. My plumber fixed an issue with the toilet then suggested we call Joe to snake a line to remove what he assumed was a clog. The techs came and I related what the plumber said. They were there for 20 minutes and charged $370. Two days later my toilets stopped flushing again. I called Budge It Drains again to let them know the problem still existed. This time a different tech asked to look in the septic tank and noted it was flooded with water and that was the actual problem. He waived the normal $80 fee since the first techs never even looked. I just called Joe to discuss the issue and attempt to get a refund since the first techs should have looked in the septic tank and simply charged $80. He told me to "Never call us again" and said "you beat me today" (because of the waived $80). Then he hung up. If this is how the owner of the company acts, I will be sure to never use them again and pass on to every plumber I know NOT to recommend them to clients. It was RUDE and unnecessary. I've used Budge It Drains many times in the past with good service and good luck for my business. This time their techs caused serious damage to my drain line. I called Joe and it was clear he wasn't willing to take any responsibility or offer any discount or help even though they almost put me out of business and caused damage that will no doubt cost hundreds if not thousands to repair. As seen in other reviews, when there's any problem, he makes excuses, places blame elsewhere and tries to take more money. Even though I've been a good customer for years, and would be in the future, all I got was a surprisingly unpleasant conversation and "Don't call me again." I won't. This is not the type of nasty and greedy person I want to give my business to. There are plenty of other drain companies out there.
