There were three of us dining in together today and we decided to order the Garlic Parmesan Fries to share! These were absolutely delicious and served on such a large platter. Perfect item to share. I ordered the Cookie Butter Chai Latte and Split Decision Sampler (pearl sugar and southern waffle, two eggs and choice of bacon or pork sausage). My boyfriend ordered the Bergamot London Fog. I didn't take a picture of the food he ordered, but it was one of the specialty eggs entrees. I was a little underwhelmed by my entree choice, however it was still good. I didn't want to be too stuffed, so it was a good choice overall. The service was great. Super friendly and energetic staff working, which made it a great experience. We were quite fortunate to arrive at a time where it wasn't too busy where we had a long wait to be seated!

I have had them before and was concerned to have toppings on top cause of the sweetness but the lemon blueberry was magical. Too bad I didn't take a pic but it's scrumptious. Oj and coffee were good. Fun restaurant and would go again with no hesitation.

I think about this place often, I am planning my trip next month around being able to come back…read morehere. I have never had a savory waffle before but it changed my life. It was the fluffiest inside with a nice crisp outside. They had a salsa between the waffle and chorizo, amazing. 10/10. My friends also enjoyed their food. They didn't have a caramel iced coffee on their menu but they said they could make it and they sure could. Top 3 coffees of my life. I tried it, finished it, and ordered another one to go. 20/10. The staff was really nice, it wasn't too busy so the vibes were what I was hoping from the pnw. The chef brought out our food, very nice guy. Everything was sooo good. I went in April and will be going back in August.

At this point, Red Elm has become a weekly (sometimes biweekly) staple for me. As a creature of…read morehabit, I typically opt for the byo breakfast sandwich and order turkey sausage/bacon, egg, cheddar, and pesto sauce on sourdough with a side of hash browns every single time I go. I'm not sure what they put in the food here, but it's addictive. The food is extremely flavorful and filling. I typically eat half of the sandwich for breakfast and the second half for lunch and am still full for the majority of the day. My wallet hates that I come here, but my heart and stomach are happy every single time I do. The staff are kind and welcoming, and the food comes out pretty quickly, even when they're busy. If you haven't tried this place yet, add it to your list!

Food The food was splendid. We ordered the Jambon de Paris…read moreOmelet and the BTA Benedict, and both were so good. We also got the A La Banana French Toast as a starter, which unfortunately did not survive long enough for a proper photo because we immediately started sharing it. It was seriously that good and absolutely deserves to be mentioned. We finished with a cappuccino, and I added a little honey drizzle and raw sugar on top. Everything felt thoughtful, well prepared, and worth coming back for. Service Our server was so kind and welcoming. We had a couple of moments where we saw dishes being brought to other tables and asked, "Wait, what was that?" and they were more than happy to answer our questions and tell us about everything. Very friendly, attentive service without feeling overbearing. Atmosphere The inside has such a relaxed, vintage bistro feel that makes it really easy to sit back and enjoy brunch. There's also outdoor seating with heaters and a tented area, so they're definitely prepared for Washington weather. I only wish it hadn't been so foggy when we went because the view would have made the experience even better. We were sat by a window where a heater fireplace was, still a best of both worlds when seated inside. Definitely make a reservation before you go, this is the kind of place I can see filling up quickly.

I was watching the clock. Not sure if my waitress was distracted or if this was just a one off but I won't be able to find out. There are heaters on the back porch so although It was rainy It wasn't too chilly. There are blankets on the back of each chair but however, not sure what the cleaning protocols are for the blankets. The specials are not on the menu so everything is word of mouth. The quiche of the day was not described as having a balsamic drizzle included and is not made fresh, but instead at least the day before? The mocktail is $14. This was a disappointing $50 brunch and I was still hungry.

By the time we got our drinks, the place had filled up. There is very little sound dampening here, so the sounds of every conversation echoed through the dining area and made it very hard for those at my table to hear each other. Our table was also disturbingly wobbly, which made the meal feel precarious. The food was excellent. The mocha was large and delicious, and my chorizo breakfast pizza offered a fun new taste for me. The biscuit meals were better than what we expected - in fact, we wouldn't even call them "biscuits." The food also kept well when frozen, so Art House may be better experienced as Takeout.

There was only one server and it took several minutes before we were seated, which was near the front door on a wobbly, sticky table. People started coming in and were being seated at booths. This was puzzling to me with only one server...why was my family seated at the front on the restaurant? I wanted coffee, but I saw a full pot on the maker and asked when it was made. The waitress was honest and said 2pm (it was already past 4pm) so I passed and just ordered a sweet tea which was good. I ordered the country fried steak (my usual at the Puyallup location), but I was unhappy with it. When I tried to cut it, the breading came off and showed this dark, jerky like piece of meat. It wasn't edible so I sent it back. We will continue to support the Tim's kitchen in Puyallup. Although the Tacoma location has good ambiance, the server and cook let us down.

So.........restaurant business is hard! We love this place but the food is I feel barely hanging on…read moreand it is more of a community comfort food place. Which there is nothing wrong with that. The service is ways excellent here!!!! The vibe of this place is amazing. The jambalaya and cornbread is so mouth watering it would make you not share it with your one family. But here is the tea!!! I can see where some of the food needs improvement but most restaurants these days are in the same situation. There are items I would not order again but others I love and a person must pick and choose their own individual items based on their preferences. I appreciate the restaurant being in busy and please get your food rating back to Great! Because Fair had me a bit side ways. I ordered PAC SOUTH omelette. No green onions, chose hash browns instead of toast and had side biscuit and gravy. Unfortunately the hash browns were really crackly dry. Maybe I should've had the red potatoes instead. The Omelette was surprisingly good. The sweetness of the pork with the bbq sauce was fascinating and tasty. If I had it again I'd ask to add a squirt of bbq inside or ask for more sauce on top. Hubby ordered the Shrimp and Grits. They were great and better than most places we've had them out. Hubby crumbled his side of bacon on top. They were Creamy, savory, cheesy and served piping hot. Jenny said sometimes people ask to add andouille sausage or catfish on top. Last - OMG that was a THICK biscuit! It was super dense. The gravy was delicious. But the biscuit takes up most the room on the plate. So my gravy to biscuit ratio was off. I still took half my omelet and half my biscuit in a to go box. Left the hash browns. They have BIG portions. Amazing atmosphere and service. If you come in from the front door there is a small counter seating area as well as booths and tables. Beyond that main room there is more space in the back. Keeping this place on the list for sure!!!
