Ok. I admit I was built up to try this place. It is a walk up and order place only. No dining area. There is one table outside by the pig. I wanted to try this place for some time now. I went on a Saturday late which seemed to be a good time. I got a pound of pork which came with red sauce. It did not come with buns so I had to splurge a get those. I also ordered my fav. Banana pudding. The pork with BBQ sauce was phenomenal. The banana pudding was like garbage in my mouth. It was gritty and not like any other I had tasted. I took a couple bites and tossed it. The other bad parts are the customer service is lacking too. The cashier made my order while an older man came out of the back room and took the wrapper off the banana pudding and sampled the banana pudding off the wrapper. Ewww. Finally, this place isn't cheap. I recommend other BBQ joints in town.

Ribs over cooked. Bone is quite soft.

This is mediocre BBQ for the area, if not slightly below even that. I won't be back and regret eating there. The pork on the sandwich was mushy, without texture (or bark). Not much smoke taste. Ribs were tender but overdone. The bone was easily bitten in to. Again, not much smoke flavor. Sausage was just sausage. Nothing special. The sauce, which can make or break you, was not good, yet everything was smothered in it. Fries were fine. Keep driving.

Half slab of ribs - huge portion!

Over priced. Inept management. No wonder it's for sale. Buddy knew how to run it for decades.

Just plain old good bbq. The ribs are fall off the bone, bbq is tender and sauce isn't bad to be tomato base.

Good food but surprisingly expensive. Very limited seating - just a picnic table outside.

The young lady who answered the phone answered like she was enjoying her job. She was happy and friendly. I inquired as to their closing time and she told me in 20 minutes. She didn't tell me they weren't taking orders, which I actually expected. I rushed over, suspecting I might not get what I wanted because of the time. I knew I wouldn't be done by closing so I went through the drive through. The drive through and the building were both clean and well maintained. The lady who took my order was friendly and upbeat. I ordered a bbq pork plate, sliced, with potato salad and mac and cheese and a large diet Dr. Pepper. At the window everyone was super friendly. I asked for extra napkins and got a stack. They were not stingy at all. My food quality was peak, despite the nearness of closing time. My bbq pork was succulent and perfectly sliced. There was no tough meat. There was plenty of sauce, pickles, and chow chow. The potato salad was sweet, tangy, and creamy and the mac and cheese was deliciously cheesy. I love their mac and cheese because while creamy and cheesy it doesn't taste like Velvetta. It reminds me of my mom's home made baked version. The entire experience was grea

We were greeted promptly and took a few minutes to look at the menu. I LOVE roast beef, so it peaked my interest. My wife chose the Smiley burger. We placed our order and grabbed a seat. Place was quiet even though it was probably 75% full for lunch. Roast beef was served hot in toasted sour dough. Cheddar, tomato, lettuce and horseradish topped the generous portion of roast beef. Bread was crisp and the beef was hot and juicy. Horseradish gave a nice tangy flavor. My wife's Smiley burger was hand patted. Juicy and perfectly cooked. Bun was soft inside and nicely toasted in the outside. Bread and butter pickles, onion, tomato and lettuce topped it off. But the star of the show were the fries cooked in beef tallow!! Hot and salty, crispy and a deep flavor. I would come back just for the fries. Although a little bit pricey for lunch, it was excellent! Staff were friendly and attentive! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back! Thanks for an awesome lunch and excellent experience!

It comes dressed with his own signature sauce, though I'm sure he could put it on the side or whatever if you wanted. Checked Yelp to see if there was a menu since it was dark and I wasn't in a hurry to exit my car, I sat deciding what I wanted. Someone comes to my car (maybe the owner) stating they were getting ready to close (530pm). I decided on the polish sausage without cheese, $8. He proceeded to let the others know my order before I made it to the window. There was enough for at least 3 servings. Nice sauce, plenty of ground beef mixed with onions and peppers (I love onions and peppers). Looking forward to the brisket.

My son got the sloppy Joe and he didn't like it and just didn't eat it. I tasted it and I didn't like it either. It was very sweet. I got the Cajun burger (i think that was the name). It has horseradish and fried onions on it. I should have got the onions on the side because it's a lot of onions. They are good - just better on the side and then add as much on the burger as you want. I would have got some extra horseradish also. It was ok. The restaurant is very clean and tidy. The service is fine. You order at the counter and if you want a refill on your drink you go back to the counter. Plenty of parking. Nicely lit. Lots and lots of locals. Definitely use Google Maps or something to get there because the restaurant building looks like an office building and you can't really see the sign. They have a meat and three menu so I was excited about that but on a Saturday afternoon they were out of a lot of sides. I didn't choose the meat and 3 because they were out of many things.

Only concern was I asked for Champy's sauce with the tender basket, looked at it in the parking lot and noticed it looked like their honey mustard instead. Tried it, confirmed it tasted like honey mustard, then went inside with my receipt asking for it to be switched for Champy's sauce. Spoke to a waitress (not the one who helped us at drive thru) and I explained that I wanted Champy's sauce. She said "uh huh" confused and I held up what I had saying it tasted like honey mustard. She said yes Champy's sauce is honey mustard based. I told her I've been to (and worked as a teenager) at Champy's before in Tennessee and the color was more yellow than the orange I'm used to (like they added too much honey mustard) and again it tasted exactly like honey mustard. She explained that the Champy's sauce (and red heat) recipe was different at their location. I took her answer and left. Not sure if I indeed had honey mustard (they come in the same containers) and she didn't want to double check or if their Champy's sauce recipe really is just primarily honey mustard. I think the people of Alabama are missing out though on the champys sauce from the original location in Chattanooga, not sure why there is so much variation between locations. Other than that, everything was great!
