September 6-8, 2023 - are the actual dates that I was in the dealership... I rented a Harley Davidson Roadglide a month in advance to go riding with my stepfather (rides if it's above 45°) on his 87th birthday. The rental was handled through EagleRider, with rental agreement and check out/processing done through the dealership specifically with the employee, Michael. Michael (Yingst/Hingst) made the (EagleRider) rental process/pick up extremely easy and a few days later the return/drop off process, just as easy and seamless/smooth. Thank you! While at the dealership, on several occasions, we interacted with Teresa. She was extremely helpful and even pointed out some sales/closeout clothing items. My wife picked up some clothing the day that I picked up the rental Road Glide. And I ended up buying a shirt and jacket the day we returned the Road Glide. Stay back. These kooks will rip you off. 3.5 hrs. to replace fork seals. Go to another dealer and they quoted 2.5 hrs. Try to sell you a new bike and all you want is yours fixed. Rude and unqualified staff. Accidently charged me for two whole forks; until, I pointed it out. They are not part of the BBB for a reason. They do nothing to support their customers. Asked them to check my speedo and it was still acting up. Fixed myself finally. Mgr. said; his techs don't take lunch and work 12 hr. days. What? your staff works without a healthy lunch? Two people where eating lunch at the service counter. They are well known by the public and other dealerships as ripoff artists. read more

Purchase this 2012 street glide with only 3300 miles on it. Everything seemed to be in perfect condition when I bought the bike. Not even one year later the paint is coming off the front fender. Comes to find out the title has the bike as a whole different color. On the title it says the color is red. They told me everything was original to Harley Davidson certifications. Now they are saying that they cannot do anything about the bike. Bought as is. read more

Absolutely horrible people and service! They lie, push you to trade in rather than fix! Won't do what you want, only how they do it, which is always a ripoff! they will only replace a a tire with 4000 miles on it rather than patch and put in a tube! Had battery issues and cost $150 just to look at it. Said it was fine and 2 days later wouldn't start! wanted another $400 to install a new batter!!! Visiting Buckeye Harley-Davidson was one of the worst sales experiences I have ever had in my entire life. I own an Adventure Touring motorcycle and they are inherently tall. I love my current ride, but with recent back issues I am finding myself to have to search for a more comfortable lower riding motorcycle. I was greeted professionally by the fit specialist and he seemed to be attentive to what I was looking for. I explained to him my current situation with my back and that I was just starting to shop for a replacement motorcycle and I was just browsing as a starting point and was not looking to make a purchase that day. HOWEVER, that was the extent of my good experience at this dealership. None of the motorcycles at this dealership have the sales price listed. I started looking at the bikes and the fit specialist was having me sit on a few different options on the sales floor. He asked me if I wanted to take a test ride, but I told him that it was not a good idea because of the current state of my back. He urged me to take a test ride on almost every bike I was eyeing on the sales floor even after I explained to him why I couldn't. I did not appreciate the fact he was being very pushy for me to take a test ride. When I started asking about the prices on certain bikes and it was almost as if they didn't want to provide that information until they run the numbers to see what my payments would be. I agreed for them to run my credit. They asked me what bank I wanted to run through and I told them. After reviewing my credit report they actually ran it through multiple banks without my knowledge or permission, nor did they inform me they ran it through multiple banks after doing so, which put a bigger hit on my credit which I am not happy about. However, once they ran my credit they were more open on on the prices of the bikes on the sales floor, which most if not all of them are above MSRP. At one point the sales manager (or who I am assuming is the sales manager) came up to go over the pricing on the new road glides. After a short conversation I decided that a new Road Glide is outside of my price range. After that he told me that my credit report knows what I can afford and inferred I could afford it. It really upset me when he made this assumption. I explained to him that credit reports do not show all the expenses that someone may have. It makes me wonder how many people have been roped into making a major financial obligation that they can't afford. I wanted a Road glide but not set on it. I asked about used bikes and they were not very open about their used inventory either. It felt to me they were trying to rope me in on a sale of a more expensive new bike. When I started showing signs that I was going to leave the fit specialist would ask for me to wait and come back and tell me I may have a used bike you would be interested in. He would walk me to the back in the service department where there were quite a few used bikes, I am not sure if all of them were for sale but the used bike he showed me was in a larger group of bikes which I am assuming were all used that were for sale or being prepped for sale. It seemed sneaky in my opinion. I had my girlfriend with me and at one point when I went to the bathroom the fit specialist tried to talk my girlfriend into convincing me to making a deal that I already knew was outside of my price range. This is really what broke the camel's back with me and made me decide to make this post. The fit specialist did call me the week after and I explained to him everything I explained here and how upset I was. He apologized and said he would relay my concerns to management and that they would call me back the same day or the day after. I have not heard anything and it is a week later. My whole experience there was infuriating to say the least. read more

I don't usually plead for people to boycott certain businesses. I usually say something about a particular business and allow one to form their own opinion. However, I am pleading for anyone who is looking for a Harley Davison or owns a Harley Davidson to stay away from Buckeye Harley Davidson in Dayton! I literally rode my Harley there to have a trouble code diagnosed and had to trailer the bike out....in multiple parts. I recently had new speakers and an amp installed. In the process, the installer inadvertently crushed some wiring which caused some trouble codes. Unbeknownst to me at the time what was causing the problem, I RODE the motorcycle to Buckeye Harley. I paid $147 for them to run diagnostics. I received a call a day later telling me that a throttle wire was crushed and they offered to replace the throttle by wire setup and replace a cross threaded bolt for $1,000. Yes. One thousand. I told them absolutely not. Don't go any further beyond replacing the bolt. They then tried to tell me the bike probably won't run since the wiring is so bad. I tell them I rode it there and I expect to be able to ride it home. Again they said it probably won't run. Once again I tell them to put it back together as I'm coming to pick it up. Luckily some friends with a trailer was willing to help me out and drove way out of their way on their day off to assist in the event Buckeye really did screw something up and it had to be trailered. I show up yesterday and the pics below are how I found my bike. They completely dismantled the fairing, turn signals, and wiring was found to be cut when it didn't need to be. Mind you, the wiring issue was found behind the controls on the handlebar which could have been fixed without dismantling the entire fairing. In other words, they tore it apart in order to run up the labor costs, thinking I would cave and pay them $1,000 for a job that shouldn't have cost more than $100 including parts. Oh, did I mention that they still charged $384 for "labor" and gave me a dismantled motorcycle? Never would I have imagined that I would be able to ride the motorcycle there under its own power, and have to pay over $500 only to have to trailer the motorcycle home in pieces. So... here we go. This has to be the worst Harley shop I have ever been to in my life. I had my scooter there to get some work done and the service manager called me and told me it was going to be about $1400.00 to have my generator replaced on my glide. Funny thing is I showed up at the dealership and purchased the generator for $175.00 new and delivered it to the service department that wanted to charge me $900.00 for it, plus $470.00 in labor for the install. Brought my bike in for service. The first thing they do is try to get me to trade it in my bike for a new one instead of looking at my problem. I told them it needed an O2 sensor. Next, they tried to sell me a warranty instead. Said it would be better for me. They never even looked at my bike or had any interest. I've driven every kind of vehicle a person can. I have never been to a place that didn't want to service your ride. I guess this is not the place it used to be. read more

Bike Had existing issues that they could not fix so they just deleted codes and now they say there is nothing they can do to help!! I witnessed first hand a female employee get some very vulgar comments made to her by a male employee and the managers and other staff did nothing to help (excluding the other females working in her department who I believe comforted her). I love Harley-Davidson but it is very clear that this location does not value women's safety or men of good respect. Absolutely disgusting and will never come back. They do not have prices on any of their bikes. When I asked why - salesman said - the price makes people nervous. When I did ask for price information on 2 similar bikes I was quoted essentially the same price for either one. One had a smaller engine and 4 thousand more miles on it. I asked why they would both be the same price. I was told the smaller one was a more popular color.... I tell you what makes me nervous - not seeing a price up front and then being fed a line of bologna when asking simple questions..... 2 stars because they were nice. The only reason they're getting one star is because I can't rate them at zero stars. I rode my motorcycle there to have some trouble codes diagnosed. I was charged $147 for a diagnostic fee. After telling me I had a broken throttle wire and a stripped bolt that would cost me an additional $1,000 to have fixed, I told them no and to not go any further. I asked they put everything back together and I would pick it up. Long story short, I had to trailer the motorcycle home because they dismantled the entire front fairing and cut wiring that didn't need to be cut. They then tried to charge me $500, negotiated down to just under $400 in labor fees for what amounted to dismantling the bike to the point that had to be trailered home in pieces. If their lack of sticker prices on the bikes and being swarmed by greedy salesmen the moment you walk in the door isn't enough of a red flag to steer clear of this place, hopefully the fact my motorcycle being needlessly dismantled then having to pay over $500 (including the diagnostic fee) to get it out is. read more

I have purchased bikes and had service done here for 15 years. I bought into the VIB package with new bike purchase in January 2019. Service was never great, but was decent and tried to be patient and understanding. Now that I have VIB, every time I drop bike for service takes even longer than normal. Took a full 2 weeks to have my bike detailed. No one calls to give status. You have to call and then get a run around. When I called today they said bike was ready, but no one called me. The bike has wax in all the crevices, my l.e.d lights weren't reconnected, thet chaned out some parts and left ole ones in tour pack with no explanation, didn't give me any paperwork to show what was done, and the service manager just gives lip service. Do yourself a favor and don't do business with this place. You'll be disappointed. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced!!! Coming in the door I was greeted with outstanding service from my sales rep. However,once they got my money I was no longer important to Buckeye Harley Davidson of Dayton Ohio. They was suppose to "Service" the motorcycle I had just purchased but instead pushed it out the door and sent me on my way. Two miles down the road the shifter link peg fell off!!!! The left turn signal didn't work before I left. Went I brought it back at their request to be serviced like it was suppose to of been when I purchased it before I left with it in the first place they blamed me for the turn signal!!! What a joke!!!! So after three days and countless hours it was finally serviced and everything fixed they way it should have been,I asked the GSM if I could get maybe some sort of compensation for my time and troubles he was all about that said yeah let me work on that. Once my bike was finished and I asked James the very RUDE GSM about it he got loud with me and basically told me to get lost!!!! Guess he knew he was protected up in that store huh??!!! Horrible!!!!!!! Tried to talk down to me as a female, kept referring all comments and questions to my male companion, even though he clearly said he was not the one buying the bike & to talk to me. They refused to give me a firm price, just kept playing around. They wanted to charge me $400 for ABS, which I later found out was standard equipment. I had 3 pushy salesman trying the hard-sell tactics. One of them even said if I would not guarantee my loyalty to them, they why would they try and do me right as a customer. I went to Buckminn's and ordered the exact same bike for $2500 less than the "sort-of" quote from Buckeye and was treated professionally and respectfully I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUCKEYE. read more

Stopped in to order some parts and get an oil change I live in Michigan and am on a cross country trip they were able to get everything I needed done in a reasonable amount of time and kept me informed the whole time as to the status of my bike. Buckeye probably has the best selection of HD motorcycles in the Dayton area but thats about it. Their customer service is pretty poor. I will say it's great when you walk in but once they get your money it's like you don't exist. You are greeted at the door and they are immediately pushing you to buy a bike. Which I get, it's how it works at any dealership. Needless to say I bought a used bike. A bit over value but honestly I'm still happy with it because I love the bike. But don't expect good service once they got your money. They did a poor job with the pre owned inspections and they missed an electrical issue that I had to bring the bike back in to get fixed less than a month after I bought the bike. It wasn't a hard fix I just didn't want to do it myself so I had them do it. For something that should have taken a day it has taken 6 days. The service department has terrible communication skills. They don't call you to keep you updated you have to call them. I have been told 3 times they will get to it tomorrow and it when tomorrow comes they have some other excuse on why they didn't get to it. Its honestly quite frustrating. In the end its a decent place to go for a bike but once you bought that bike your best bet Is to find somewhere else to go for any of your service needs. read more

Please pay attention because if you think I'm stupid enough to not know who my finance company is allow me to take pictures of both your paperwork and my finance paperwork and I'm sure that will prove to readers that might be confused that the only smoke being blown is coming from Buckeye so let me know if to prove what I said is necessary because your finance mgr had me try my credit union for a lower than 11.9% rate. I have that inquiry on my credit STILL when all along HDFS had me approved for the much lower rate I'm paying now. I have no problem with pictures of my finance papers or proof of my bike. Dang I might not be riding a Harley lol....since I don't know who I might be making monthly pymnts to.!!!smh!!! I went to F&S to get specs about a Harley Dyna Super Glide. The salesman Kevin was amazing. The Sales manager was horrendous he was not friendly, rude and condescending. I felt as if he didn't want me in the store. Not sure if it was as result of my ethnicity or my gender. Nevertheless, I will save my $20K and go somewhere I am appreciated. 1. Purchased a brand new bike in 2014. Salesman was sly; definitely didn't have my best interest at heart; didn't let me test drive (why did I buy it? I'm a dummy); wouldn't reveal the price until after running my credit; and I'm pretty sure I paid way too much after learning more about Harleys as the years have gone by. 2. In 2016, my battery went by. I called a couple of days in advanced, they said to just drop it off. I dropped it off mid-day on a Saturday. Parts guy told me it shouldn't take long (a couple of hours at most) and they'd call me back. Never got a call that night. Called them and was told I'd receive a call back . Never happened. Called the next morning, talked to the receptionist who assured me I'd get a call right back. Never happened again. Finally I called and just asked to talk to the service department again (finally got through this round) and spoke with a nice girl named Lindsay who was extremely helpful and held true to her word -- she was on top of it. I think they forgot about my battery but she got everything taken care of. She's the only reason I'd consider going back in the future. read more

Worst place ever!!! they hike their prices and refuse to tell you the price of a bike prior to running your credit, if you do purchase a bike from them and something is wrong, you will be lucky to get it fixed before 6 months is up! The parts department is always out of stock on items and when they do order an item for you, it's always the wrong thing and takes FOREVER to get you the right part! Their prices are ridiculous on items selling most things at almost $50.00 over what is suggested sale prices! I would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE I know! Not to mention, the management and owners are a JOKE! They treat customers and employees like crap!!
