So this place is sensory overload. It's absolutely enormous. I've never seen so many gas pumps in one place in my life. They don't advertise the gas price until you pull up to the pump like all the other interstate places do. But I found the gas to be on par, cheaper than some others. The place had so many employees it was amazing. It was super clean, sold everything and got you in and out quickly. My kids insisted that my wife and I stop on our way past one. Now the kids weren't with us, but wanted us to stop anyway. We bought a bunch of Bucc-ee stuff for ourselves and kids. Even bought my son a brisket sandwich that I threw in the cooler for him to eat hours later. I'm amazed at how many people were there, but yet they kept the lines moving quickly. Also was impressed with what they pay their employees, they take care of them and as such they take care of their customers. They had a huge sign hanging inside with pay for all to see. read more

The KING of all gas stations, and actually more of a travel destination! North Alabama is thrilled to welcome Buc-ees. I met a couple in this place on opening day who drove down from Indiana just to visit! To start...after the newness wears off you won't have trouble finding an available gas pump. Make a note of where you are filling up, though--they likely have 100 gas pumps y'all. It could be like getting lost in a mall parking lot. You can't just stop here for gasoline, though. Find your way inside for a wide variety of fresh food, drinks, and custom branded treats. Then there is the merchandise--toys, some decor, clothing, and more--you can knock out a huge chunk of your Christmas shopping list at this place. There really is something for everyone. Also, the prices are great for the brands they carry. I was very satisfied with that. I am writing this on opening day, November 21, 2022. There is a lot that could go wrong on opening day. This place was PACKED! It was difficult to maneuver the store, but in 30 minutes we managed. When it was time to checkout we had a cashier meet us and gently direct us to the register. Piece of cake...Buc-ees was prepared. Don't hesitate to check it out...anytime. They are open 24x7x365. I found nothing to take away from for Buc-ees--5 starts for the gas station/travel destination born in Texas and tapping roots in North Alabama. read more

Clean and well stocked. I could spend at least a hour in this place. This is my first time in a Buc-ee that wasn't in Texas Everyone was friendly !! read more

Bucee's is always a great experience! They have fantastic bathrooms, great selection of snacks and fantastic customer service!

Woke up an hour early in order to have sufficient time to visit Buc-ee's before an early morning flight back to New York. Had a biscuit sandwich with sausage, egg and cheese. Also purchased a variety of their popular beef jerkies to bring home. If you haven't ever been to a Buc-ee's, be sure to visit one even if a bit out of your way. It's a unique experience that you won't regret read more

Had to drive one hour to get to Buc ee's but it was worth it. The food (brisket sandwiches) were great and the cookie dough were terrific. They have all kinds of snack foods from jerky to Buc ee nuggets. It was well worth the hour drive. Oh, and the restrooms were the cleanest I've ever been in. read more

The coolest gas station you'll ever see. It's huge! It must have about 80 pumps. But the store is what will get your attention. It's about the size of a Wal-Mart. Ginormous. Inside, they sell all kinds of food, drinks and merch. A guy chops fresh brisket and the brisket is some of the best that I've ever had! They have home made potato chips called beaver chips that are great. They sell fresh fudge (which I didn't like). The car wash is huge for a gas station. Buc-ee's even has an outdoor dog park. The employees are very friendly. read more

Not a super popular opinion, but I don't get all the hype behind buc-E's. It's got great marketing, but it's still just a gas station. I will say I did like the bathrooms. read more

My sister and I stopped by BucEe's Saturday July 5th and it is by far the biggest travel stop we have ever stopped at. So, while on our way back from Fl from vacation, we stopped at buc ees. It is nice, but overwhelming. They do sport the cleanest restrooms around, but the sheer amount of people that are there is crazy. They have everything you could possibly need/want, you name it, they have it. The food was excellent, the staff helped us navigate with help of excellent signage. I would stop there again, but i would be more prepared to spend the time. read more

I have never been to a Buc-ee's and wanted to stop in to see what all the hype was about. I could not believe the amount of traffic going into this place. It is definitely a tourist trap. You would think it was an indoor amusement park or something! People were coming in by the carloads. There are a ton of gas pumps but your guess is as good as mine as to the direction and the flow! The inside is huge and it is a glorified truck stop, convenience store, souvenir shop, sporting goods, restaurant and bakery. It is overwhelming. I bought some fudge which I thought was pretty tasty but I didn't try any of their other food. In reality, there were so many people in there I just wanted to get out! Now that I have seen it I don't think I really need to go in one again. read more

"Sauce on the board!"... "Hurray! Sauce on the board!". This was my first time going to Buc-ee's and it exceeded my expectations. I thought it would just be another gas station with snacks on the inside but Buc-ee's is a whole experience. From the homemade jerky and fresh brisket and breakfast sandwiches to the souvenirs and clothing section on the other side of the store. I got the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit. The buiscuit was so flaky and buttery and the sausage, egg, and cheese complimented it very well. Even the bathrooms were a new experience. The privacy in each stall and the cleanliness was top notch. The staff was also very kind at checkout. It helped to tie in the whole experience and made you feel glad that you took a pit stop. Overall, if you are passing through the area and you have the chance, you MUST stop by Buc-ee's! read more

Another great Buc-ees. Finally got to see Brisket on the board. As usual it is clean.

All Buc-ee's just plain rock! Stopped at this location on the way to Huntsville. Same great atmosphere, service, home goods, tee shirts, BYO sandwiches, snacks, etc. Glad that this location had a plain beaver tee shirt with the city on the front (my last Buc-ee's stop - Daytona Beach, FL - didn't have any with the city labeled, bummed!). **FYI, if your getting a deli sandwich at any Bucee's, if the description on the kiosk says "mayo", it is not regular run of the mill Hellman's/Kraft white mayo; they mix mayo with what tastes like ketchup or something, but it's not the same. Just be aware. And they tend to put a lot on their fresh-made deli sandwiches, so if you're not sure about the taste, ask for it on the side. read more

So, as a whole, this place has everything. As a matter of fact, we bought quite a few Christmas gifts from here and they were very well received. The bakery: oh my goodness y'all. If you want to get fat and sassy, get the cinnamon rolls and klochkies. Both of those are awesome. My husband loves the BBQ sandwiches and I don't really get the hype. I was very disappointed when I purchased their black pepper jerky. Y'all, I love that kind of jerky, but the bag I got...well, let's just say that the Sahara desert has moisture. I have purchased the Salted Caramel cashews. Oh man. I have gone back and gotten a couple more bags because they were so good. I have not purchased gas there. I don't like the idea of rolling up too gas pumps and not have a clue as what the gas prices are. Nope. I'm not a fan of sticker shock and will continue to purchase my gas elsewhere until they start disclosing the gas prices like every other gas station does. read more

Bucees is an American institution. Stop here. Enjoy. Gas is cheap. Food is fresh. There is ALWAYS brisket on the board.

Randomly met a couple 20-something brothers and their momma at a hot tub in Singer Island. One oh the youngsters was sporting a Buc-ee's cover-up tee shirt, so I engaged them in conversation. I explained that I've seen billboards from time-to-time. But never stopped by as I thought they were truck stops. It turns out that this friendly group had an almost cult-like affinity with Buc-ee's. Started telling me about all the gas pumps and the food that was served, everything is fantastic, they loved the brisket, all kinds of bakery, great place to get great food. So the seed was planted, I was going to do my personal investigation at the earliest opportunity and especially try the brisket. Let the good times roll. The opportunity came yesterday. Traveling back to Chicago area we planned to overnight in Huntsville AL. As the mileposts were clipping by lo and behold a beautiful Buc-cee's billboard with that comical bucktooth beaver staring back at me, just 50 miles or so, just 7 miles past the exit I needed to take to get into Huntsville, barely a stones throw away in Athens. NIRVANA found at last. Changed the Waze GPS and kicked her up to 85 to get there. Arrived a little before dusk and there is the biggest gas station I ever saw. Behind it is this humongous building sporting big pictures of the buck-tooth creature; I started snapping photos on my iPhone, what a discovery. Jesus, Mary, AND Joseph! Hurried right in toting Wifee by my side. Wow, all lighted up like a sunny day inside, merchandise everywhere, employees everywhere, with signs in the middle; looks like a great big food court. Looks like an order and sit down kind-of-place ... no tipping required. Food counters everywhere, everything wrapped and ready to go. There's the brisket wrapped and ready, wonder what it looks like. There's the bakery, just like the boys said! BUT, where's the checkout lane, where's the seating area? WHAT THE HELL, I just got the car, no mobile home or camper. I'm supposed to carry this stuff outside and then slop up the car eatin' a brisket sandwich balanced on my lap? NOT! Asked a counter person, where do I sit and eat. "Were carry out only." Bewildered, we stumbled through what seemed like 40 Cracker Barrel stores of merchandise and scores of young, smiling, well-groomed looking employees. As I was walking to the exit door, empty handed, I slowed and asked the cashier, "Where are we supposed to stop and eat?" His reply was "We're just a gas station!" And, Buc-ee is just one dumb-ass mindless rodent critter, if I had a rifle I'd shoot that little bastard. See ya! Have a great life. I deleted all the pictures I took. read more

Fueled up with diesel on 8/30/24 at this location. Only to get a few miles down the road to get a "Service Water in Fuel" warning!! There's no one to call to warn them about their tainted fuel, and a service bill headed their way. Be careful if you have diesel systems fueling up here!!! read more

If only all gas stations were as nice as Buc-ees! Huge number of pumps so you are very unlikely to have to wait in line to get gas - and affordable gas compared to some of the surrounding gas stations. It's pretty fascinating to walk through - everything from fishing gear, merch, baby clothes, doggie supplies, down to kitchen tools and decor. The jerky bar is really what does it for me - huge selection of delicious jerky! The brisket sandwich is also pretty amazing. I can't not mention the fact that they absolutely have the best, most clean gas station bathroom situation. Most importantly the employees are all very friendly and willing to help! read more

The BBQ at Buc-ee's is DSIGUSTING... Also, it is very expensive. I used to just get a BLT or a Club sandwich, which I would order from a Kiosk... however, they suddenly started being made with less than half the toppings as they had just a few months ago. They both have about ONE-THIRD the toppings/ingredients that they have at other locations and that they used to have here... The sandwiches start at $7.99.... they aren't worth $3.99; they wouldn't be worth more than $3.99 if the BBQ was good or the BLTs had ample ingredients. read more

We stopped here on our way to Huntsville Alabama, because my husband loves the jerky. Everybody rants and raves about how great Buc-ee's but honestly I think it's over priced. he bought a pound of jerky and it cost him $32. ‍That's a little high priced if you ask me. I brought in my water bottle and wanted to fill it with ice but it would've cost me $.49 to use the ice from the machine. So I didn't bother. Yes the bathrooms are awesome but so are the bathrooms at Highway rest areas. read more

We had to check out bucees. It was very busy on a Saturday. Highlights: Dr Pepper slushy for $.59 and Korean bbq jerky. Fudge was just ok, Brisket sandwich (7.99, also an xxl option for 12.99) was great for a gas station but sauce was overly sweet, I just grabbed one premade but there was a place to order sandwiches so maybe you can order there with no sauce or on the side. Seems like a ton of stuff but also a lot of repeats through out. Would definitely make a stop if on a road trip. An experience if you've never been. read more

I absolutely love this place. They have everything you can think of. The bathrooms are amazingly clean the food is delicious, everyone is very friendly. It's like a truck stop + gas station + home decor store + sporting goods store all in one. In my opinion however, they should be more appreciative of truck drivers. Yes I understand some don't dress appropriately, some don't take care of themselves as they should, but there are some trucking companies that do enforce a dress code that requires their drivers to have a neat appearance, believe it or not grungy is a stereotypical way to look at truck drivers, a lot of drivers men and women take pride in how they look and their appearance due to the mental aspect of it all, if you look rough, you feel rough, if you look good, you feel good. I'm not saying add showers or overnight parking for the drivers, but a place to park so they can come inside and shop and eat the good food would be nice. The moral of me saying this about trucks not being allowed is, how does this store think that the goods they have in the store are shipped across country? Truckers. Without truckers they have no product, without a product, they have no business. Truckers get a bad reputation for no what bad truck drivers do, kind of like the good police officers get a bad name for what bad police officers do, but would it be so wrong, to show a little appreciation for the good truck drivers in this world? After all, without them stores would be empty, gas pumps would be empty.... FOOD FOR THOUGHT. read more

Madhouse!!! I've been to plenty of Buc-ee's but THIS was the most packed I've ever seen it which made it unbearable. I grabbed what I had in mind and got out of there. One thing I wanted to get was the chopped brisket sandwich and it was disappointing. It wasn't so much chopped as large, fatty chunks. In previous visits the chopped brisket was the classic Texas chop which is small and the fatty pieces mix in nicely. These were the size of burnt ends and not as enjoyable. It was fresh though. Will visit again but picking a time that's less busy. read more
